Aditya, exhausted from his earlier battle, rests while Boris leads a meeting of the Anti-Emperor Faction. The nobles are in awe of Aditya's battlefield achievements, which have solidified their support for him as the next Emperor. Boris meticulously outlines strategies for the next day's battle, emphasizing coordinated troop movements and the importance of countering enemy high-order cultivators.

After making sure that there was nothing important left to discuss, Boris finally straightened his back and looked around the tent. "All right, everyone. I think we’ve discussed everything that needs to be discussed for tomorrow’s battle."

Hearing this, the commanders slowly nodded their heads. "It’s already getting late, and tomorrow is going to be an extremely important day for all of us. So I suggest that everyone return to their tents and get some proper rest."

"After all, there’s no point in spending the entire night discussing strategies if we’re all going to be too exhausted to fight tomorrow."

Several commanders smiled upon hearing his words. They understood that Boris was correct. Although everyone was excited about the possibility of ending the war tomorrow, they still needed to recover their strength after the first day of fighting.

Even the commanders who had not personally participated in the battle were mentally exhausted after spending the entire day managing their troops and dealing with various reports. Because of this, nobody had any objections to ending the meeting.

However, before dismissing everyone, Boris suddenly remembered something. "Oh, and there’s one more thing."

The commanders immediately turned their attention toward him again. "Regarding the security of our camp tonight, I’ve already made some arrangements."

He then pointed toward the different areas surrounding their camp on the map. "We still have a large number of soldiers who didn’t participate in today’s battle. Since they haven’t used much of their stamina, I’ll be dividing some of them into several smaller squads."

"These squads will be stationed at different locations around the camp. Their responsibility will be to keep watch throughout the night and make sure that no enemy forces manage to approach us without being noticed."

After all, although the first day of the war had ended, that did not mean the Emperor Faction would simply remain quiet until morning. There was always the possibility that Ren might attempt to launch a surprise attack during the night.

And considering how badly his army had suffered during the day, Boris believed that such a possibility could not be completely ignored. A night attack could be dangerous, especially when most of the soldiers were sleeping and recovering their strength.

If the enemy managed to enter the camp without being noticed, they could cause serious damage before the army had enough time to organize a proper defense. Because of this, Boris had already decided to strengthen the security around the entire camp.

"These squads will be placed at different positions around the camp so that they can keep an eye on every direction. Some will guard the main entrances, while others will patrol the surrounding areas. This way, even if the enemy tries to approach us from an unexpected direction, someone should notice them."

"And of course, we shouldn’t forget about our scouts. Right now, we have close to one thousand scouts operating from different locations around the battlefield and the surrounding areas."

These scouts had been assigned the important responsibility of constantly monitoring the movements of the Emperor Faction. Some of them were positioned near the enemy camp, while others were watching the roads and areas that Ren’s soldiers might use if they decided to move during the night.

Their responsibility was to report any unusual activity as quickly as possible. If the Emperor Faction suddenly began moving a large number of soldiers, the scouts would immediately send that information back to the camp.

This would allow Boris and the other commanders to prepare their army before the enemy could launch a surprise attack. "With almost one thousand scouts constantly watching the enemy’s movements, I don’t think we need to be too worried about a sudden ambush."

"Of course, that doesn’t mean we should completely lower our guard. But between our scouts and the soldiers guarding the camp, we should have more than enough time to respond if the enemy tries anything."

Hearing this, the commanders felt relieved. After all, the last thing anyone wanted was to be attacked in the middle of the night after spending the entire day fighting. Knowing that Boris had already made proper arrangements for the camp’s security allowed them to feel much more comfortable about returning to their tents.

"So everyone can rest without worrying too much. If the enemy attempts any kind of ambush, our scouts or guards should notice their movements and immediately alert the entire camp."

"And once the alarm is raised, everyone will have to prepare for battle."

However, just as the commanders were about to stand up, Boris suddenly added something else. "Although, I do hope none of you sleeps too comfortably tonight."

Hearing this, several commanders looked at him in confusion. "After all, imagine if the enemy suddenly attacks in the middle of the night, and one of you is sleeping so peacefully that even the sound of the alarm isn’t enough to wake you up."

"That would be quite embarrassing, wouldn’t it?"

Hearing this, several people immediately began laughing. "And even if you do manage to wake up, I hope you won’t need half an hour just to remember where you placed your weapon."

"Hahaha!"

This time, almost everyone inside the tent laughed.

Even Malakor Harrington could not help but smile at the old man’s words. After all, what Boris was saying was something that every experienced commander already understood. During a war, soldiers and commanders were expected to remain prepared for unexpected attacks, even while resting.

They could sleep, but they needed to be capable of waking up and preparing for battle quickly if an emergency occurred. This was such a basic rule that Boris did not even need to remind them about it.

However, everyone understood that he was simply joking around. After spending an entire hour discussing serious matters, Boris wanted to end the meeting on a slightly lighter note.

One of the Dukes smiled before replying, "Don’t worry, Lord Boris. Even if the enemy attacks in the middle of the night, I promise I won’t make them wait while I search for my sword."

Hearing this, Boris laughed. "Hahaha! Good! That’s exactly what I wanted to hear!"

Another commander then added with a grin, "Although, if the enemy really does attack tonight, I hope they’ll at least be kind enough to let us finish our sleep first."

His words caused another round of laughter inside the tent. Even Lou Han, who usually maintained a serious expression, showed a faint smile. For a brief moment, the tense atmosphere that had surrounded the meeting completely disappeared.

Seeing everyone laughing and smiling, Boris felt satisfied. He had always believed that maintaining good morale was extremely important during a war. An army whose commanders were constantly nervous and afraid would have a much harder time fighting effectively.

On the other hand, if the commanders remained confident and calm, that confidence would naturally spread to the soldiers under their command. And after the enormous victory they had achieved today, Boris wanted everyone to enter tomorrow’s battle with that same confidence.

After the laughter gradually died down, Boris finally raised his hand. "All right, all right. That’s enough joking for tonight."

"Everyone, return to your tents and get some proper rest. Tomorrow will most likely be the final day of this war, and I want all of you to be in your best condition. We’ve already come this far. Now we just need to finish what we started."

"Understood, Lord Boris!" Several of them respectfully bowed their heads before preparing to leave.

"Good. Then this meeting is officially over." With those words, the meeting finally came to an end. One by one, the Dukes, nobles, commanders, and Aditya’s subordinates began leaving the large tent.

Some of them quietly discussed the arrangements for tomorrow’s battle as they walked out, while others immediately headed toward their own tents to get some sleep. Meanwhile, the soldiers assigned to guard duty were already taking their positions around the camp.

"Do you think something will happen tomorrow?" Malakor Harrington and Boris were left in the tent. After everyone left, Harrington couldn’t help but ask. Ever since Boris brought up that the mysterious organisation might do something, he hasn’t been able to stop thinking.

"Well, based on everything that Aditya told us about the Organisation, I am strongly positive that something unexpected will happen. This won’t be an easy victory for our side."

Just as Harrington was about to say something, they heard a familiar sound. "May I come in?"

"Wahid, no need to be formal. Come inside."

Wahid walked inside the tent with a smile on his face.

"I heard from soldiers that we have an overwhelming victory today." Boris nodded his head.

"How are Alen and Elena?" Boris had no time to think about that. But now that Wahid was here, he wanted to know about his son and daughter-in-law.

"Both are being controlled by a special kind of Gu worm." Hearing this, the expression on both Boris’s and Harrington’s faces instantly changed.

"Is there no way to free them from this?" Wahid shook his head.

"I had made our family alchemist check on him. Unfortunately, he does not know anything regarding Gu worms. Now our best hope is the Goddess of Alchemy."

"But she cannot come here because she is not a 5th-order cultivator yet."

"Yeah! For that reason, someone will need to take them to the Istarin Empire. Someone who is powerful and loyal."

"But right now, in this crucial phase of war, most of our powerful men need to stay. We cannot afford to let them leave." Boris and Harrington both looked very worried. Both wanted to free them from the Gu’s control as soon as possible.

"Actually, I came here with other news." Wahid replied with a relaxed smile.

"Aditya bought back another subordinate from the Capital today."

"And she managed to reach Beginner 7th-order." She had successfully managed to overcome the Heavenly Tribulation.
