Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1225:- Void Collapse Talisman

While the soldiers were busy dealing with the aftermath of the explosions and searching for whoever was responsible, Aditya quietly stepped out of the mansion alone.
He had deliberately waited until the Imperial Royal Palace’s security forces were fully occupied. With more than five National Treasures already present, attempting to escape through the palace grounds would be extremely dangerous, especially while carrying his parents.
Fortunately, Aditya had prepared another method. He raised his right hand, and a rectangular black jade talisman appeared in his palm.
『Void Collapse Talisman』
This was one of the precious artifacts Aditya had obtained from Malakor Harrington’s hidden treasury. Created by a Peak Sixth Order Rune Master who specialised in spatial formations, the talisman possessed enough destructive power to collapse the surrounding space within a five-hundred-meter radius.
However, Aditya had no intention of using it to kill the soldiers or National Treasures. Not that this talisman could kill any national treasure to begin with. His target was something much bigger.
The Imperial Royal Palace and the Capital were protected by two separate defensive domes. The first dome surrounded the entire Imperial Royal Palace, while the second covered the whole Capital. In other words, the palace’s defensive dome existed within the Capital’s much larger defensive dome.
Both barriers possessed anti-teleportation properties that could be activated during emergencies. These functions were designed to prevent enemies from teleporting into restricted areas or escaping after infiltrating them. Under normal circumstances, these defensive formations made the Capital one of the most secure places in the entire Celestial Dragon Empire. Even Seventh Order cultivators would have considerable difficulty breaking through them.
But Aditya did not need to destroy either defensive dome completely. He only needed to destabilise their spatial formations for a brief moment, and that was precisely what the Void Collapse Talisman was capable of doing.
Without wasting any more time, Aditya began pouring his mana into the black jade talisman. The complicated spatial runes engraved across its surface gradually lit up, releasing faint but increasingly unstable spatial fluctuations.
Once the talisman was fully activated, Aditya immediately threw it straight into the sky with all his strength.
SWOOOOSH!!!
However, there was one major problem with using the Void Collapse Talisman in this manner.
The defensive dome surrounding the Imperial Royal Palace was approximately three hundred meters above the ground, while the Void Collapse Talisman had an effective explosion radius of five hundred meters. This meant that when the talisman exploded upon striking the barrier, the resulting spatial collapse would extend all the way to the ground and affect a large portion of the Imperial Royal Palace.
Aditya was fully aware of this. In fact, he had already calculated the approximate area that would be affected by the explosion before throwing the talisman.
The moment the black jade talisman left his hand, Aditya immediately teleported back inside the mansion. Without wasting even a second, he grabbed the rope connecting him to Rin and Elara. With Alen still on his back and Elena being carried by Rin, all five of them were now physically connected.
"Hold on tight!" Aditya warned before activating his teleportation ability.
FLASH!!!
The five of them instantly disappeared from the mansion. However, Aditya did not stop after teleporting once.
He continued teleporting repeatedly, covering enormous distances within the Imperial Royal Palace in just a few seconds. Every time they appeared at a new location, he immediately activated his ability again, giving Rin and Elara barely enough time to register their surroundings.
His destination was the eastern side of the Imperial Royal Palace, close to one of its main entrances. Based on his calculations, this area was far enough from the point of detonation that it would suffer considerably less damage from the spatial collapse.
There was no time to worry about whether anyone noticed their sudden movements. Right now, putting as much distance as possible between themselves and the Void Collapse Talisman was far more important than maintaining their disguises.
Unfortunately, Aditya knew that not everyone inside the Imperial Royal Palace would be able to escape the explosion.
The Void Collapse Talisman was a Peak Sixth Star Artifact specifically created to destroy powerful enemies and defensive formations. Its destructive power was terrifying enough to severely injure or even kill Sixth Order cultivators. For ordinary servants, maids, and lower-order soldiers, being caught within the spatial collapse would almost certainly mean death.
Even some Sixth Order cultivators might not survive a direct hit. Those unfortunate enough to be near the center of the explosion could have their bodies completely torn apart by the collapsing space, leaving behind little more than blood and scattered remains.
And the destruction would not be limited to living beings. Buildings, gardens, roads, and other structures within the affected area would also be caught in the explosion. Even if the Imperial Royal Palace’s defensive dome managed to withstand the attack, the buildings beneath it would not necessarily be so fortunate.
As the former Crown Prince of the Celestial Dragon Empire, Aditya found this particularly painful.
This was his birthplace and the home where he had spent his childhood. Many of the people working inside the Imperial Royal Palace were ordinary servants who had nothing to do with Ren’s actions or the ongoing civil war. Some might have even served the Imperial Family for generations.
Aditya had no personal hatred toward them. In fact, if the circumstances had been different, he would have done everything possible to avoid putting their lives in danger.
But the current situation had left him with very few options. More than five National Treasures had already arrived at the Imperial Royal Palace, and there was no telling how many more would appear in the following minutes. The entire Capital had been placed under lockdown, every teleportation array had been disabled, and both defensive domes were preventing anyone from escaping through ordinary teleportation methods.
Attempting to leave through one of the palace entrances while carrying his mind-controlled parents would be practically impossible. Even if they somehow managed to get past the palace guards, they would still have to deal with the soldiers stationed throughout the Capital and the National Treasures searching for the intruder.
Trying to escape in disguise was no longer a realistic option either. With the entire Capital on high alert, the authorities would undoubtedly inspect anyone attempting to leave, especially those accompanying people who could not respond or explain themselves.
Under such circumstances, attempting to escape through conventional means would be no different from a lamb willingly walking toward the slaughterhouse.
Aditya had already risked too much to reach his parents. He had finally found them after years of separation, and he was not going to surrender them to Ren simply because the only remaining escape method came with a terrible price.
Although the thought of innocent people dying because of his actions weighed heavily on his heart, he could not afford to hesitate. He had to prioritize the lives of his parents and the two women accompanying him.
Just as Aditya completed another teleportation and reached the eastern section of the Imperial Royal Palace, the Void Collapse Talisman finally activated.
The black jade talisman shot upward at an astonishing speed, quickly becoming a tiny black dot against the sky. It continued rising without encountering any obstacles until it reached approximately three hundred meters above the Imperial Royal Palace grounds.
At that height, the talisman suddenly collided with something invisible. It had struck the defensive mana dome surrounding the entire Imperial Royal Palace.
The moment the black jade talisman made contact with the barrier, the spatial formation engraved within it activated completely.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!
A terrifying explosion erupted approximately three hundred meters above the Imperial Royal Palace. Unlike an ordinary explosion produced by fire or lightning, the Void Collapse Talisman caused the surrounding space itself to collapse. The space around the point of impact violently distorted before collapsing inward, releasing an enormous amount of destructive spatial energy in every direction.
The explosion spread across a radius of five hundred meters, directly striking the Imperial Royal Palace’s defensive dome while simultaneously extending downward toward the ground.
Within the affected area, buildings were violently torn apart by the collapsing space. Walls crumbled, rooftops shattered, and entire sections of several structures were destroyed almost instantly. The ground beneath the explosion cracked and collapsed in multiple places as the destructive spatial energy swept through the surrounding area.
Those unfortunate enough to be caught near the center of the explosion had almost no chance of surviving. Ordinary servants and lower-order cultivators were killed instantly, while even stronger soldiers struggled against the terrifying spatial forces tearing through their surroundings.
The Imperial Royal Palace’s defensive dome also suffered tremendous pressure. Although the barrier was powerful enough to withstand attacks from Seventh Order cultivators, the nature of this explosion was completely different from ordinary physical or elemental attacks.
The spatial collapse violently interfered with the formations maintaining the defensive dome, causing its entire structure to tremble. For a brief moment, the enormous invisible barrier became visible as countless ripples spread across its surface.
However, the effects of the explosion did not stop at the Imperial Royal Palace’s defensive dome. The violent spatial fluctuations spread beyond the immediate area, interfering with the larger defensive formation protecting the Capital.
Although the two defensive domes were separate, their anti-teleportation functions relied on maintaining stable spatial formations. The sudden collapse of space within the Capital created a violent disturbance in the surrounding spatial energy, which began affecting the stability of both formations.
As a result, the Imperial Royal Palace’s defensive dome trembled violently, while the Capital’s much larger defensive dome began experiencing severe fluctuations. The invisible barrier surrounding the entire city briefly became visible as enormous waves of mana rippled across its surface.
The sound produced by the Void Collapse Talisman’s explosion was nearly fifty times louder than the combined explosions of the five hundred Exploding Talismans that had detonated earlier. The deafening noise spread throughout the Capital, causing countless people to instinctively cover their ears.
Buildings trembled, windows rattled, and people grabbed whatever was nearby to maintain their balance. The ground beneath their feet shook so violently that many ordinary citizens believed an earthquake had suddenly struck the city. Some people even rushed out of their homes in panic, fearing that their buildings might collapse.
Inside the Imperial Royal Palace, the effects were considerably worse. The tremendous noise was almost unbearable for ordinary servants and soldiers. Many immediately covered their ears in pain, while others collapsed to their knees as intense ringing filled their heads. Those with weaker cultivation were particularly unfortunate, as some suffered ruptured eardrums from the overwhelming sound.
Even powerful cultivators were momentarily startled by the sheer intensity of the explosion. The sudden spatial disturbance also made it difficult for them to immediately determine what had happened, especially with both defensive domes violently fluctuating above their heads.
Meanwhile, near the eastern entrance of the Imperial Royal Palace, Rin and Elara instinctively raised their hands to cover their ears. Despite having moved a considerable distance away from the explosion, the deafening sound was still extremely uncomfortable.
The shockwave caused the ground beneath their feet to tremble, forcing Rin to tighten her grip around Elena while Elara immediately positioned herself to protect the others.
Aditya, who was still carrying Alen on his back, turned his attention toward the sky.
The two enormous defensive domes continued trembling as violent spatial fluctuations spread through their formations. Neither barrier had been completely destroyed, but their stability had been severely compromised, particularly the spatial formations responsible for preventing teleportation.
This was what Aditya wanted.
