Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1213:- Scouting

Roy soon prepared to take his leave. Since he had already entered the Imperial Royal Palace, leaving without meeting his best friend would only create unnecessary suspicion. After all, that was one of the main reasons he had given the guards for coming here in the first place.
At the very least, after meeting his best friend, Roy could naturally use one of the designated teleportation arrays within the Imperial Royal Palace to leave. There would be no need for him to sneak around or come up with another complicated excuse for his departure.
Besides, there were genuinely a few things that Roy wanted to discuss with his old friend.
After explaining his intentions to Aditya and Rin, Roy prepared to separate from them. However, before leaving, he stopped and looked at the two of them.
"What are you two going to do now?" Roy asked.
"For now, we gather more information about the main residence where my parents are being kept." Aditya replied calmly.
The building where Alen and Elena were currently being confined was a massive mansion that had served as their personal residence for many years. The Imperial Palace itself, on the other hand, was now exclusively occupied and used by Ren after he became the Emperor.
"I seriously doubt that one maid is the only person guarding that entire mansion. Even if she is the only person standing directly outside my parents’ bedroom, Ren must have stationed other guards around the residence." Rin nodded in agreement.
The mansion itself was enormous. Considering how important Alen and Elena were to Ren’s plans, it would have been foolish for him to rely on a single maid to prevent anyone from reaching them.
Aditya was almost certain that there were other cultivators secretly or openly positioned around the perimeter. Their purpose would be simple: prevent unauthorised people from even approaching the mansion, much less entering it.
Because of this, Aditya did not intend to rush forward simply because they had finally discovered his parents’ exact location.
"We will spend a little more time observing the residence and gathering whatever information we can. Then we’ll make our move." Hearing this, Roy also sighed in relief. This would give him enough time to get out of this place before the chaos started.
Aditya wanted this entire operation completed as quickly as possible, but speed did not mean recklessness. The moment Aditya entered the mansion, there was a very high possibility that he would have to kill. And once the killing began, everything would become far more dangerous.
Therefore, the first few kills needed to be done as stealthily as possible. There couldn’t be any screams or any explosions. No unnecessary destruction. He could not allow the guards to sound an alarm or attract the attention of the three National Treasures residing within the Imperial Royal Palace.
The longer Aditya could keep his presence hidden, the greater his chances of reaching his parents before the entire Imperial Royal Palace realised what was happening. For now, patience would save them far more time than recklessly rushing forward.
While making their way toward the main residence where his parents were being kept, Aditya gave Rin another task.
"Any maid or servant we come across, put them under your charm. I need them to do something for me." Rin soon understood what he had in mind.
Whenever a male or female servant crossed their path, Rin would find an opportunity to speak with them privately. With the enormous difference in cultivation between them, placing ordinary palace servants under her charm was extremely easy.
Once they were under her influence, Aditya handed them several paper talismans and instructed them to discreetly place the talismans throughout different areas of the Imperial Royal Palace.
These were not ordinary paper talismans. Every single one was an Exploding Talisman personally created by Aditya. Aditya had established a faint mana link between himself and each talisman. As long as the link remained intact, he could remotely trigger them with a single command. Once activated, the talismans would explode almost simultaneously, creating powerful explosions throughout the locations where they had been placed.
This was not something Aditya had suddenly thought of after entering the Imperial Royal Palace. He had been preparing for this rescue operation for quite some time. He had considered various situations that could arise once he entered the palace and had prepared several backup plans accordingly.
In total, Aditya had brought nearly five hundred Exploding Talismans with him. And he intended to use every single one of them.
With Rin charming servants and sending them in different directions, Aditya did not personally need to wander around suspiciously placing hundreds of talismans. The servants could naturally enter areas that would immediately attract attention if an unfamiliar outsider approached them.
Meanwhile, Aditya and Rin continued moving toward his parents’ residence as though nothing unusual was happening. The five hundred talismans were not meant to rescue his parents by themselves.
They were another piece of the larger plan Aditya had prepared before ever setting foot inside the Imperial Royal Palace.
His original plan was way different. But his visit to the treasury changed everything. Aditya was able to make plans that were more efficient and with less risk involved. As long as everything went according to the plan, they should be able to escape the Imperial Royal Palace with his parents without anyone even knowing about it.
Aditya and Rin did not directly approach the main residence where his parents were being kept. Instead, they remained roughly five hundred meters away and observed the mansion from a safe distance while pretending to casually chat with the maids and servants passing through the area.
Whenever no guards were watching, Rin secretly handed several Exploding Talismans to the servants who had fallen under her charm. However, Aditya made sure that Rin gave them very specific instructions about what to do with the talismans. He did not want any of the servants keeping the talismans on their bodies.
Aditya could not individually activate each Exploding Talisman. All five hundred talismans were connected to the same mana link. The moment he sent the activation command through that connection, every talisman that had been placed throughout the Imperial Royal Palace would activate almost simultaneously.
If any servant was still carrying one at that moment, they would be caught directly in the explosion.
Therefore, Rin specifically ordered everyone under her charm to place the talismans in locations where guards and other servants were unlikely to notice them. They were instructed to hide them against isolated sections of walls, behind trees, beside mostly empty roads, inside abandoned buildings, unused warehouses, quiet sections near the kitchens, and various other places where very few people normally gathered.
Aditya wanted the explosions to create chaos, not unnecessarily slaughter ordinary servants. There was also one particular area that received special attention. The northern entrance of the Imperial Royal Palace.
Aditya instructed Rin to send a large portion of the servants carrying Exploding Talismans toward that side of the palace. Most of those talismans were to be discreetly placed throughout the areas surrounding the northern entrance.
At the same time, Aditya and Rin continued gathering information about the mansion. Not every servant knew how many guards were stationed around Alen and Elena’s residence. In fact, most ordinary servants were deliberately kept away from that part of the Imperial Royal Palace.
So Aditya and Rin used the servants under Rin’s charm to investigate for them.
Different servants were sent toward the mansion using believable excuses. Some carried food or supplies through nearby areas, while others simply performed ordinary duties that gave them an excuse to pass closer to the residence. None were ordered to enter the restricted area itself. Their only task was to get close enough to observe the guards and then return with whatever information they could gather.
Little by little, Aditya began forming a clearer picture of the mansion’s defences. More importantly, there was one piece of information that greatly increased his confidence. Aditya could not sense the presence of any Seventh Order cultivator anywhere near his parents’ residence.
The strongest cultivators protecting the mansion appeared to be at the Sixth Order. For the Aditya of a few hours ago, that might have been a serious problem. But he was no longer a Peak Fifth Order cultivator. After surviving his Heavenly Tribulation and successfully reaching Beginner Sixth Order, Aditya was now operating on an entirely different level.
If the strongest people standing between him and his parents were merely Sixth Order cultivators, then Aditya was confident that defeating them would not be a problem. The real challenge was defeating them without giving the rest of the Imperial Royal Palace enough time to realise what was happening.
After spending almost an hour roaming around, Aditya felt that they had gathered enough information and they were ready to act. By now, Roy would have silently left the Imperial Royal Palace as well. So he won’t be caught in this incoming chaos.
