Ren sends a letter to Aditya, challenging him to a decisive battle in the Northern Grassy Plains less than 12 hours away. Aditya accepts the challenge, preparing his forces while contemplating the Organisation's potential involvement. Meanwhile, Malakor Harrington rallies his troops, who are invigorated by his personal supervision.

Malakor Harrington found Aditya in his bedroom. His grandson was busy engraving runes on a beautifully forged piece of chestplate.

Understanding that he needed to focus and hurriedly get his things done, the girls left him alone. No one disturbed him for hours, not even for meals.

While working, even Aditya himself forgot about the upcoming war and was completely absorbed in his work.

"Grandpa, did something happen?" Aditya paused for a moment and asked.

"Sorry for disturbing you."

But Aditya immediately shook his head. "There is no need for you to apologise. If you have come to find me, then it must be something very important."

Malakor Harrington smiled and nodded his head. At least, he felt that what he was going to show Aditya was going to be very important. "The war is going to start soon. I want to show you something."

"Come with me." Aditya followed him without understanding what his grandfather wanted to show him. Since his grandfather approached him at this crucial time, it must be something very important that he wanted to show him.

Grandfather and grandson walked beside each other while making small talk that was not about the war but about small things in their lives. It was mostly Harrington asking questions about Aditya’s life before he came to the Main Continent. Malakor wanted to know more about his dear grandson.

Malakor Harrington led him to the underground floor of their mansion. This part of the mansion was primarily used to store things that were kept out of sight of visitors and outsiders.

The underground floor housed a large prison capable of holding nearly 500 prisoners, along with several storage rooms where mostly unused weapons and armor were kept. There were also a few empty rooms that were not being used for anything in particular. Most of the rooms on this floor were rarely visited unless there was a specific reason to do so.

Beyond the storage room where old items were kept and maintained, there was a hidden room. At first glance, the entrance to the hidden room was impossible to spot, as it looked like an ordinary wall.

However, when his grandfather took out a mysterious, diamond-shaped object made of black metal, certain special runes on the wall began to glow green.

The runes formed a rectangular shape, almost as if they were outlining a door. As his grandfather let go of the diamond-shaped object, a mysterious force pulled it towards the wall.

The metallic diamond-shaped object floated a few inches away from the wall for a few seconds before Aditya noticed a diamond-shaped opening appearing on its surface. The metallic object fit perfectly into the opening. Then, the wall before them retracted on both sides, revealing a small doorway just wide enough for a single person to pass through.

Malakor Harrington smiled and looked at Aditya with a proud expression. This was one of his best works. It’s not like he personally did everything, but he put a lot of effort and a ton of money into making this space. Not to mention, keeping it a secret from everyone made things even more difficult.

Are you surprised?" Harrington had wanted to see this expression on his grandson’s face. After all, when he was younger, he had gone through a great deal of trouble to secretly build this room. He had to use many of his connections and even find a 6th-order Rune Master to construct this secret room for him.

Aditya nodded his head. How could he not be surprised?

"Come with me." As Aditya went inside, he was once again surprised to see just how big the room was and the things that filled the entire room.

"....This?"

"Yes, it’s the treasury of our Harrington family." Harrington looked very proud. At this moment, Harrington just wanted to show off to his grandson the things that he created and achieved during his whole lifetime.

"Then, what about the other treasury?" There was another treasury that was constantly guarded by multiple powerful cultivators.

Harrington smiled and responded. "That one is meant to divert enemies or thieves. The things that are kept in that treasury aren’t worth that much. But the things that you will find here are worth a fortune." Aditya can clearly see that without needing his grandfather to mention it.

The total wealth of the Harrington Family under Malakor Harrington was almost triple, if not more, the wealth that the entire Night Rider Sect had accumulated throughout its existence.

"This is seriously impressive. What you have here is enough to easily support the foundation of a powerful Empire"

"I know, right." Being praised by his grandson, of course, felt very good. The old man couldn’t stop grinning.

"Who else knows about this room?" Aditya couldn’t help but ask. He was sure that the servants certainly had no idea that there was another treasury.

"Only Wahid and your mother!"

"I told your uncle about this treasury when I decided to retire from the position of the Duke."

"As for your mother, I brought her here once, but she showed no interest in this place, so we can visit this space again." Aditya could somewhat understand why this was the case.

His mother was the Princess of the Harrington Faction, and she had grown up surrounded by wealth. Naturally, she wouldn’t have much interest in wealth or money. In fact, those were probably the last things that would interest her.

Not to mention, she had always received everything she needed for her cultivation, and from what Aditya had heard, Harrington had been extremely generous with her monthly allowance. With all her needs already taken care of, she had little reason to concern herself with money.

"How did this room survive when the entire mansion was caught up in the massive explosion?" Aditya was very curious about this.

"Well, to put it simply, this room can withstand attacks from even 6th-order cultivators. Not to mention, the treasury itself exists in a separate space beyond this wall. This means that the explosion never actually reached this room."

Aditya was fascinated by this revelation. "So, does that mean the wall before us and the runes we saw glowing on its surface were some sort of teleportation runes?"

"You catch on first, my grandson."

"It is indeed the case."

"This is one of the things that wasn’t harmed at the slightest bit in the explosion."

Aditya and Malakor Harrington walked into the room. Malakor Harrington stood at the entrance and allowed Aditya to walk deeper and take a better look at the things inside this treasury, which was tens of thousands of square meters in size.

As for the mysterious entrance, it had already closed as soon as they stepped inside the room.

Aditya looked around the room. He found a lot of extremely valuable things, many of which he had not even seen in his entire life.

After looking around for a while, he turned to his grandfather and asked. "I assume you brought me here because you wanted me to pick something?"

Malakor Harrington nodded his head with a smile. Aditya smiled back and responded, "Even if you hadn’t brought me here to pick something, I would have taken a few things regardless of whether you wanted me to or not."

Harrington couldn’t argue with that. His love for his grandson was so great that even if Aditya decided to take everything from the treasury, he wouldn’t have the slightest complaint. In fact, he would gladly help his grandson take every last treasure without a moment’s hesitation.

To Harrington, his grandson’s happiness mattered far more than any wealth or treasure he possessed.

Malakor Harrington just smiled and said, "You are the future of this empire and also the future of this generation. I won’t stop you even if you want to take the whole treasury from here. Because this treasury serves little to no purpose to me at all."

"Before this, this treasury and some things within it, which I had inherited from my father and forefathers, were seen as the lifeline of the Harrington family. But this is not the case anymore. So I just hope that you will put everything here to good use so that we can further increase our chances of winning this war."

Under his rule and Leadership, the Harrington Family and overall, the entire Harrington faction’s wealth have continued to multiply. Before, the Harrington Family was nothing without this treasury, but now this wasn’t the case at all.

Aditya curiously picked up a platinum coin from the mountain of coins that was piled up all over the room and looked at his grandfather. "If I empty this entire room, then the foundation of the Harrington family will crumble."

But Malakor Harrington shook his head and replied, "If you take every single thing in this room, the foundation of our family will not crumble or fall."

"Instead, we will have a few more tough centuries, but things will slowly stabilise. You remember the other treasury room that I talked about, right? That room has nothing but platinum coins in it. So wealth is the last thing that the Harrington family lacks."

Malakor Harrington sounded very proud of himself because all of this was achieved and gained while he was the Duke of the Harrington family and also the leader of the Harrington faction.

He made sure that not only did his family prosper, but his allies prospered as well. This was also one of the reasons why the bond between the Harrington family and the other families within the Harrington faction was so strong.

There was no selfishness. There was only a mutual desire to help each other and move forward as a unit, not as individuals. There was no competition to overtake each other or anything like that.

Aditya was just testing Malakor Harrington with his question. He seriously had no intention of taking everything from his grandfather’s treasury. He himself had more than enough wealth than he could ever spend.

From the beginning, Aditya wasn’t a greedy man who only wanted wealth. As a dragon, he loved having his own treasury, but not something that was taken from or given to him by his own grandfather. "I will take a few things that have caught my attention. As for the rest, you can keep them here until I need them. As for these platinum coins, they are almost useless to me."

Hearing this, Makalor Harrington did not say anything. He nodded with a smile and silently observed as his grandson curiously walked around the room.
