Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1157:- First Scolding Then Praise
Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
Alen and Elena once again found themselves sitting inside the familiar living room of the Dragon Palace. For a few moments, neither of them said anything. They simply looked at each other before turning their attention toward their surroundings, quickly realizing where they had been brought.
"It seems we are back." Alen said while looking around the living room.
Elena nodded before a worried expression appeared on her face. "I wonder how much time has passed since our last meeting with Aditya."
Neither Alen nor Elena had any way of knowing the answer. Ever since Ren and the mysterious Organization placed them under mind control, their true consciousness had remained trapped deep within their own minds.
They had no proper perception of time or their surroundings while they were under Ren’s control. Their bodies continued to move, speak, and follow Ren’s commands, but their real selves remained completely unaware of what was happening in the outside world.
To them, it almost felt as though no time had passed between their previous meeting and this one. Yet they knew that days or even weeks could have passed outside without either of them realizing it.
"Did the civil war begin?" Alen wondered with a worried expression.
That was naturally one of his greatest concerns. During their previous meeting with Aditya, their son had already found Boris alive, and everyone had gathered within this spiritual world to allow Alen and Elena to meet him.
At that time, the conflict between Aditya and Ren had already reached a dangerous point. Neither of them knew what had happened after they were returned to their controlled bodies.
"We have to ask Rin." Elena said. Since Rin was the one who had once again pulled their consciousness into this spiritual world, she was the only person who could immediately explain what had happened outside.
Elena looked around the living room before raising her voice.
"Rin!"
"Mother!" Rin appeared inside the living room almost immediately after Elena called for her.
"How are you, my child?" Elena asked warmly as she pulled Rin into a tight, motherly hug. Rin happily returned the embrace without any hesitation.
Although she had only met Elena twice before, she had already grown very fond of her, making this their third meeting. Elena had always been extremely affectionate toward all of Aditya’s women, treating each of them as though they were her own daughters rather than merely the women who would one day marry her son.
Alen was much the same, although he was nowhere near as open with his affection as his wife. He rarely expressed his feelings directly, but his actions and the way he treated Aditya’s women made his feelings obvious enough. He already considered them members of his family.
"I have been doing well." Rin replied while slowly pulling away from Elena’s embrace. However, the smile on her face weakened as she continued.
"But the same cannot be said for Aditya." The change in her expression was enough to immediately worry both parents. Elena’s smile disappeared, while Alen leaned forward with a serious look on his face.
"What happened to him?" Alen immediately asked.
"Is he alright now?" Elena quickly followed, her voice filled with concern.
"He is alright now." Rin first assured them, knowing that this was the most important thing they needed to hear.
"But when he left the Harrington Mansion, one of his legs was missing and both of his arms had been reattached only a few hours before he woke up. Despite being in that condition, he disappeared without telling anyone and went after the Night Rider Sect to take revenge for what they had done."
Even now, thinking about Aditya’s actions made Rin feel frustrated. In her eyes, what he had done had been far too reckless. He had gone after an enemy while his body was still recovering from severe injuries, relying on a plan where several things needed to go exactly as expected.
Fortunately, everything had worked out in the end and Aditya had returned alive. But Rin could not ignore what could have happened if even one part of his plan had failed.
Aditya could have lost far more than another limb or worse he could have lost his life.
’Attacked by the Night Rider Sect?’
’A missing leg and two reattached arms?’
Alen and Elena stared at Rin in disbelief. They had expected that some things might have changed while their consciousness was trapped, but they never imagined that so much could have happened within that period.
"What the hell happened while we were gone?" Alen asked in an urgent tone.
"Tell us everything."
Rin nodded before explaining everything from the beginning. She told them how Ren had worked together with the mysterious Organization to arrange an attack on Aditya on the very night he was supposed to sign the Charter of Noble Reinstatement.
The timing had been carefully chosen because nobles from all the supporting households were preparing to gather in Axel City, yet the attack began before most of them could arrive and reinforce the Harrington Household.
That night, Axel City had been completely isolated from the outside world. All forms of long-distance communication had been blocked, while the city’s Teleportation Arrays were rendered useless. No one inside could call for outside reinforcements, and those outside had no easy way of entering the city to help them.
"A Spatial Seal capable of blocking Axel City’s Teleportation Arrays." Alen murmured with a grave expression after hearing Rin’s explanation. He immediately understood why the situation had become so dangerous.
With teleportation unavailable and communication cut off, Axel City had essentially been turned into an isolated battlefield where the attackers could carry out their plan without worrying about immediate reinforcements.
"We all nearly lost our lives that night." Rin continued.
She did not hide anything from them. Rin explained the entire attack from beginning to end, including how Elena’s cousin had stepped forward and taken an attack that was originally meant to kill Aditya. That single decision had saved Aditya’s life, but the price had been extremely heavy.
By the end of the battle, Wahid had been left on the verge of death. His cultivation had been destroyed, while Aditya himself had suffered horrifying injuries. He had lost one of his legs, and both of his arms had been severed before eventually being reattached.
Elena’s expression became increasingly pale as she listened, while Alen remained completely silent. Neither interrupted Rin because they wanted to know everything that had happened.
Unfortunately, Aditya’s actions after regaining consciousness did little to ease their worries.
"The first thing he thought about after waking up was revenge." Rin said with clear frustration in her voice. "Instead of properly resting for a few days and allowing his body to recover, he disappeared from his room without telling anyone."
His sudden disappearance had caused even more panic. Given everything that had just happened, Rin and the others initially believed that someone had somehow infiltrated the Harrington Mansion and kidnapped Aditya while he was still recovering. They had no idea that Aditya had left entirely on his own.
"It turned out that he went to the Dragon Mountain Range." Rin continued. "He wanted to recruit the powerful prisoners trapped there and bring them under his command."
Only after gathering those people did Aditya move forward with his plan for revenge.
Even now, Rin found his decision incredibly reckless. His body had barely recovered enough for him to move normally, yet instead of remaining somewhere safe, Aditya had immediately begun gathering the strength he needed to strike back at those responsible for nearly killing him and his family.
Revenge had consumed him.
After Rin finished explaining everything that had happened, both Alen and Elena were left stunned. For several moments, neither of them knew what to say. They had only been unaware of the outside world for a relatively short period, yet during that time their son had nearly been killed, suffered terrible injuries, entered the Dragon Mountain Range, recruited powerful prisoners, and then carried out his revenge against the Night Rider Sect.
"That was far too reckless." Elena said as her shock quickly turned into anger. "If he had made even one mistake during any part of that plan, he could have lost his life. What was he thinking?"
As Aditya’s mother, Elena could hardly bring herself to care about how successful the plan had been. All she could think about was the condition Aditya had been in when he decided to carry it out.
His arms had only recently been reattached, one of his legs was still missing, and his body had barely recovered from injuries that could have killed him. Yet instead of resting somewhere safe, he had secretly left without informing anyone and placed himself in danger once again.
Alen, however, remained much calmer than his wife. Of course, he was also angry about how recklessly Aditya had treated his own life, but as someone who had ruled the Celestial Dragon Empire for many years, he could not stop himself from looking at the situation from another perspective.
The more Alen thought about Aditya’s actions, the more impressed he became.
From beginning to end, Aditya had carefully planned every important step. He had not simply rushed toward the Night Rider Sect while blinded by anger. He first entered the Dragon Mountain Range and recruited powerful cultivators who could compensate for his weakened condition.
He gathered the strength necessary to carry out his revenge and only then moved against his enemies. There had certainly been risks, but those risks had been calculated rather than taken blindly.
’My son is a genius.’ A deep sense of pride filled Alen’s heart.
He was beginning to see just how capable Aditya had become without either of his parents being there to guide him. His son had taken an extremely dangerous situation and somehow turned it around in his favor.
However, Alen was wise enough to keep those thoughts entirely to himself.
He briefly glanced at Elena and immediately decided that praising Aditya’s plan right now would be a terrible idea. His wife was already furious with their son’s reckless behavior. If Alen said anything even remotely resembling praise, there was a very good chance that some of that anger would immediately be redirected toward him.
So Alen remained completely silent.
He decided to wait until Elena had properly scolded their son. After that, when Aditya was alone with him, Alen could tell his son just how impressed and proud he truly was. But first the scolding must come.
