Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1145:- The Rules of the Dragon Monarch - I
Previously on Dragon Monarch System...
Shinzo’s prediction turned out to be correct. The Fujiwara Household was far from the only noble family that understood how valuable the opportunity to become a Dragonian was.
By the time Aditya finished transforming around one thousand soldiers from the various noble houses of the Harrington Faction, another three thousand two hundred soldiers had already gathered outside Axel City. They came from different noble households supporting Aditya, with each group standing beneath the banner of the family they served.
Shin and Mai had moved quickly, yet several other Dukes and Duchesses had reacted just as fast. None of them wanted to watch the military strength of the Harrington Faction rise while their own households remained unchanged.
Even more soldiers continued arriving through the Teleportation Arrays.
What had started as Aditya strengthening the Harrington Faction had unexpectedly turned into a fierce competition among the noble houses supporting him. Everyone wanted a share of this rare opportunity, and no one wanted their household to be left behind.
"What a mess!" Aditya muttered as he stood in front of the mansion and stared at the ever-growing number of soldiers gathered outside. What had started as a simple plan to strengthen the Harrington Faction had somehow turned into thousands of soldiers from different noble households arriving at his doorstep.
Originally, Aditya had planned to quickly finish transforming around one thousand carefully selected soldiers from the various noble houses belonging to the Harrington Faction before returning to the mansion.
He had never expected the news to spread so quickly or for the other noble houses supporting him to react almost immediately. Now, judging from the different banners visible among the gathered troops, it was clear that many Dukes and Duchesses had sent their own soldiers here after learning what Aditya had done for the Harrington Faction.
This completely ruined the schedule Aditya had prepared for himself. After being separated from his women for nearly half a month, he had finally reunited with them. Naturally, he wanted to spend some proper time with them.
Aditya had deeply missed their presence during their separation, and judging from how they had behaved since arriving, he was certain that they had missed him even more.
However, spending time with his women was not the only thing on his schedule.
Aditya still needed to continue developing the new technique he had been working on. The idea of using runes to reduce its preparation time was still only a theory, and turning that theory into something practical would require hours of research and experimentation. There were also several other things he wanted to test and improve before the civil war officially began.
Most importantly, regardless of how busy his life became, Aditya had no intention of breaking the rule he had set for himself.
Every day, he would dedicate a certain number of hours entirely to training. Unless there was an emergency that genuinely prevented him from doing so, he refused to compromise on that routine. His strength had not appeared out of nowhere, and he had no intention of becoming careless simply because he was already powerful.
His original plan for the day had been fairly simple. After transforming the Harrington Faction’s soldiers, Aditya intended to spend a few hours relaxing with his women before heading to the library. Once there, he would quietly continue working on the runes required for his new technique before eventually moving on to his daily training.
Now, however, that entire plan had been thrown into disorder.
Aditya could not simply ignore the thousands of soldiers standing outside the mansion. Every group represented a noble household that had chosen to support him in the upcoming civil war, and how he handled this situation could easily have political consequences.
If he transformed the soldiers of some noble houses while refusing others without a proper reason, it could create unnecessary dissatisfaction among his own supporters. At the same time, blindly accepting every soldier who arrived was not something he intended to do either.
What should have taken him a relatively short amount of time had suddenly turned into a matter that required considerably more thought and attention than Aditya had initially expected.
What annoyed Aditya even more was that he perfectly understood why so many noble houses had suddenly sent their soldiers to Axel City. The moment they learned that the soldiers of the Harrington Faction were being transformed into Dragonians, every Duke, Duchess, and many of the vassal nobles serving beneath them wanted a piece of the same opportunity.
On the surface, their reasoning was perfectly reasonable. Strengthening their armies before the civil war would increase their chances of defeating Ren’s faction while also reducing the number of soldiers they would lose on the battlefield.
However, Aditya was not foolish enough to believe that this was their only reason.
The opportunity to become a Dragonian was simply far too valuable. These nobles had seen the Harrington Faction receive something that could greatly strengthen their military forces for decades or even centuries to come, and naturally, none of them wanted to be left behind.
If one noble household received twenty Dragonians, the others wanted twenty as well. If another received fifty, their political rivals would immediately begin wondering why they had received fewer.
What Aditya had intended as a way to reward and strengthen trusted soldiers was slowly turning into something that the noble houses were beginning to treat as a benefit they should also receive.
That was exactly what irritated him.
Things had never worked this way in the Istarin Empire. There were countless nobles there who would gladly have sent thousands of their soldiers to Aditya if he announced that he was willing to transform them into Dragonians.
Yet Aditya had always been extremely selective about who received his Divine Blood. Becoming a Dragonian was not some reward that could be obtained simply because someone belonged to an influential noble household.
He chose those who had proven themselves through their loyalty, hard work, talent, achievements, and character. Most importantly, Aditya needed to trust the person receiving his blood.
He had never allowed the nobles of the Istarin Empire to pressure him into changing that principle. In fact, the political structure he had built there made it very clear that noble status did not give anyone the right to demand special treatment from the Emperor.
If Aditya believed that an ordinary soldier deserved the opportunity more than the son of a Duke, then the ordinary soldier would receive his Divine Blood. His decision was final, and the nobles understood that very well. None of them would dare gather thousands of soldiers outside the Dragon Palace simply because another household had received something valuable from him
.
Yet the situation within the Celestial Dragon Empire was completely different. Aditya had not officially become Emperor yet, and with the civil war about to begin, every noble house supporting him possessed political and military importance.
The nobles understood this as well. They could easily justify their actions by claiming that stronger soldiers would benefit Aditya’s side during the war, and technically, they were not wrong. More Dragonians would indeed strengthen their faction and improve their chances of victory.
However, Aditya could see the political motive hiding behind that reasonable excuse. Everyone wanted to make sure that when the war ended, the Harrington Faction would not be the only group walking away with a much stronger military. None of the noble houses wanted their rivals gaining an advantage that they themselves did not possess.
That was what truly pissed Aditya off. It was not the fact that they wanted stronger soldiers. Wanting to strengthen one’s household was completely understandable. What bothered him was that they were indirectly using the current political situation to place pressure on him.
With thousands of soldiers arriving from the noble houses supporting his claim to the throne, refusing all of them could create dissatisfaction at the worst possible time, while accepting everyone would mean allowing the nobles to influence how he distributed his own Divine Blood.
Aditya hated being placed in such a position.
His Divine Dragon Blood belonged to him, and becoming a Dragonian was a privilege that he alone decided who deserved. He had no intention of allowing political pressure, noble status, or the approaching civil war to turn that privilege into something the noble houses could simply line up and collect.
’I cannot give them an excuse either. If I back down now, it will only make me look weak and give them the impression that I can be pressured into changing my decisions.’
The more Aditya thought about it, the colder his expression became. He understood that many of these nobles probably did not have any malicious intentions. From their perspective, they were simply trying to secure the same opportunity that the Harrington Faction had received. However, their intentions did not change the position their actions had placed him in. Thousands of soldiers had suddenly appeared before his doorstep, and now everyone was waiting to see whether the future Emperor would give them the same treatment.
’Fuck anyone who thinks they can pressure me.’ A thick killing intent slowly began leaking from Aditya’s body as his cold gaze swept across the thousands gathered before him.
He had absolutely no intention of establishing a precedent where noble houses could gather together and indirectly pressure him whenever they wanted something. If he gave in today simply because he needed their support in the civil war, then what would happen after he became Emperor?
The moment several powerful noble houses disagreed with one of his decisions, they might believe that gathering together and placing enough political pressure on him would force him to compromise again.
That was not the kind of Emperor Aditya intended to become.
’Fuck you all. Even without your stupid support, this Dragon Monarch has ways of winning this war.’ At the same time, Aditya’s subordinates started walking out of the Mansion. The first one to walk out was Lou Han carrying a heavy greatsword.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
