Dragon Monarch System Chapter 1015:- The Truth Behind the Exile

"Son, would you believe me if I said that for the past 7 years, my actions were beyond my control?" Alen's sudden words caused Aditya to stiffen in shock.
"What do you mean by that?" For a brief moment, Aditya's calm facade shattered.
Alen gazed upon his son, then turned his eyes toward the Dragon Palace. His facial expression betrayed his own uncertainty.
Drawing in a deep breath, Aditya regained his composure and quietly took a seat next to his father, patiently awaiting his explanation.
Silence hung between them for nearly 10 minutes. That period felt agonizingly slow and burdensome, particularly for the former Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire.
Aditya refrained from urging him onward. He simply waited patiently for his father to continue. He sought answers he could fully trust.
The chill between them shattered as Alen released a weary, fatigued sigh.
"Looking back now, the deeds I performed during my final years as Emperor appear utterly bizarre. These were actions I would never have taken."
Aditya turned to his father upon hearing those words. He hadn't yet resolved to fully trust the man's claims. Still, he permitted him to proceed, craving further details.
Deep within his heart, he perhaps desired an explanation capable of granting him complete closure to progress or dissolving the deep anger and resentment he harbored against his parents.
"Upon your birth, the whole Celestial Dragon Empire celebrated with a grand banquet spanning forty days. Over ninety-nine days, I personally distributed gold bars to the empire's needy and impoverished. The sheer volume of gold I gave caused prices within the empire to plummet sharply, even rippling through the main continent's gold markets."
"Our love for you was immense, so prior to your arrival, your mother and I had already arranged your betrothal to all seven goddesses as their future husband. This wasn't for political gains or alliances. We arranged it because, even lacking talent, our child backed by the seven goddesses would rise extraordinary—surpassing even the Celestial Dragon Empire's previous Emperors."
None of this had reached Aditya's ears. Yet, in his youth, Alfred had mentioned how inexpensive gold was in the Celestial Dragon Empire.
’That must explain the cheap gold prices.’
"My son, our love for you defies description. The most baffling aspect is our abrupt cessation of affection and shift to cruelty toward you." He avoided meeting Aditya's eyes. His stare fixed on the Dragon Palace drifting steadily closer.
Aditya glanced at his father, as though silently prompting him.
"Whenever I question why we treated you this way, no logical answer emerges. Even with thousands of flaws, you remain our son. Casting you onto the streets is unthinkable, even for treason."
Only Alen and his wife understood the ordeals they endured to conceive. They hadn't sought an heir for the throne or to perpetuate their lineage. They craved a child symbolizing their profound love and bond.
Numerous obstacles rendered conception extraordinarily challenging. Primarily, the mightier the cultivator, the tougher procreation became. Even achieving pregnancy carried lethal perils during birth, dangers his wife braved delivering Aditya.
Additionally, dragons faced immense difficulties in pregnancy. Dragon males boasted extraordinarily high sex drives, second only to incubi. Nonetheless, dragon pairs commonly required 100 to 500 years on average for a child. Their struggle proved even fiercer.
Alen and his wife possessed immense power, complemented by potent dragon bloodlines. These elements prolonged their childlessness despite 2000 years of efforts. At last, Heaven smiled upon them, granting Aditya.
What rationale justified abandoning a child conceived after 2000 years? It made no sense whatsoever.
"I insist my actions weren't mine because years before your exile, circumstances differed vastly. Yet, it seemed some insidious force gradually corroded our love, fostering escalating cruelty and disdain toward you." Years earlier, their demeanor toward him flipped entirely within mere months—a shift Aditya initially deemed peculiar.
"The strangest element is that post-exile, we turned utterly devoid of emotion."
"As though our feelings vanished completely. Even in solitude, no emotions surfaced—no love, no happiness. We functioned like marionettes, mechanically adhering to routines behind fabricated smiles."
"Then abruptly one day, inexplicably, I chose retirement, yielding the emperor's throne to your cousin. Post-handover, I aided his adaptation for several days, after which my recollection fades entirely."
Absorbing it all, Aditya grew quiet. His father's compelling, logical points left no room for skepticism.
’Could someone have subtly manipulated their minds and behaviors?’ In this world, nearly everything proved feasible. Mind control proliferated commonly. It struck him as a highly credible theory.
He had recently observed a formidable ancient black dragon dominated by Leo, the organization's leader.
The culprit was his cousin.
Deeper contemplation solidified his conviction: should mind control have ensnared his parents, his organization-linked cousin bore responsibility.
’Everything aligns perfectly now.’ Hatred for his cousin ought to blaze, yet Aditya sensed emotional numbness—or rather, suppression amid the overwhelming surge.
"Rin, I wish to see Mom." Aditya remained not fully convinced his parents fell victim to his cousin and the organization's brainwashing. Hidden onlookers overhearing the exchange discerned his softened posture toward his parents following the revelations.
Alen observed mutely as a stunning woman with raven hair flowing nearly to her calves materialized before her son and husband.
Standing 5’4" tall, the elegant woman featured fair skin and a delicate brown horn emerging from her left forehead near the hairline. Rather than marring her beauty, the horn amplified her grace and allure.
A deep purple gown adorned her, enhancing her captivating presence.
This was Aditya’s mother.
.
Elena's eyes locked onto Aditya the instant she appeared. Unlike her husband, who sat to compose himself and recollect, she required no such pause.
Spotting Aditya, every memory resurfaced immediately. She recalled each atrocious act inflicted upon her precious child.
Rushing forward without delay, she enveloped Aditya in a fierce embrace.
She collapsed into wrenching sobs.
A mother's devotion to her offspring remains uniquely profound. Irrespective of elapsed time, recognition took but an instant. No matter his transformations, she'd identify him instantly.
"Aditya.......!!!" Shuddering violently, she wept profusely in his arms. Aditya eyed his silently weeping father, then his mother.
He noticed Rin, Athena, and Alfred offering approving nods. Rin's power rendered them invisible to Alen.
Gently, he wrapped his arms around her.
"Mom.....!!!" A tightness gripped the Monarch's throat. Voicing that word alone drained his very essence.
