Wu Ningzhu, desperate for news of Jiang Chen, learns of his potential whereabouts after years of searching but worries that he may have perished during a dangerous mission to a Great Emperor’s tomb. Unbeknownst to her, Jiang Chen has arrived in Jile City to refine a powerful pill intended to help him rescue Dragon Shisan and seek vengeance against the Profound Connection Divine Palace. As he retreats to a remote location to focus on his work, he remains unaware that the vengeful Soul-Leaving Sect has tracked him down to settle an old blood feud.

Although the Nine Supreme Saint Bone Pill falls just short of a Divine Grade ranking, its efficacy is nearly identical. Crafting this pill proved a formidable challenge for Jiang Chen. Throughout the synthesis, he maintained an iron-clad focus, treating every motion with utmost gravity. He was acutely aware that even the most trivial misstep could ruin the final result.

For any Hierarch expert, this pill functions similarly to a Clone Technique, yet with far superior results. It allows for the creation of nine identical replicas, each possessing power and combat prowess equal to the original. This capability is arguably its most terrifying feature.

Jiang Chen’s expression remained stoic as he embraced the task. Despite having gone a long time without performing alchemy, he retained complete control over the process. He carefully introduced all the ingredients, including the Purple Devil Taro, the Flower of Spirit, the essence harvested from the Great Emperor’s skeleton, and several other rare herbs, into the Myriad Qi Cauldron. Entranced by his own craft, he focused exclusively on merging the essences. He had avoided this endeavor previously because he feared wasting the rare components. Gathering these precious materials was a monumental undertaking; should he fail, he had no idea how long it would take to secure the ingredients again. Only after achieving his breakthrough to the Hierarch Realm did he finally feel prepared to act.

“Truly, crafting the Nine Supreme Saint Bone Pill is a daunting trial,” Jiang Chen mused. The complexity of the process matched the incredible potency of the finished pill. Nonetheless, Jiang Chen felt a newfound confidence in his abilities, or he would never have risked such an attempt. With the situation spiraling into crisis, time was of the essence.

Once the volatile essence of the nine herbs was extracted from the Myriad Qi Cauldron, he initiated the solidification phase. A surge of potent energy coalesced and erupted instantly. A brilliant golden radiance poured from the cauldron, bleaching the color from the surroundings with its blinding intensity. The sheer power radiating from the vessel caused the air to tremble violently. Even Xue Liang and the others were left stunned by the spectacle.

“I cannot discern exactly what pill Jiang Chen is refining, but it must be something truly extraordinary,” Bing Yun remarked.

“Whatever it is, it surely surpasses our wildest estimates. We must wait for him with patience,” Xue Liang replied.

Qian Renji stood by, visibly impressed and harboring a sense of wonder. Jiang Chen’s secrets remained impenetrable, and none of them had anticipated that an Early Hierarch expert could wield such immense power. He was no longer a mere youth; he was preparing to challenge the Profound Connection Divine Palace itself.

“Jiang Chen! Show yourself! Your life ends today!”

A thunderous roar echoed from the horizon. Xue Liang and his companions felt a sudden, chilling pressure. A colossal force was moving toward them at breakneck speed, causing the very atmosphere to turn ice-cold.

“Who goes there?!”

Xue Liang vaulted into the air, locking his eyes on the newcomer. Behind him, a massive army of millions stood in formation. Among their ranks, a wizened, gaunt old man emanated a presence so oppressive it made Xue Liang tremble. This man was terrifyingly strong.

“Who are you?” Xue Liang asked with a frost-bitten tone.

“My identity is of no consequence. You are not Jiang Chen. I have come to take his head, and I shall show no mercy to anyone who obstructs my path,” the skinny elder answered nonchalantly. His killing intent flooded the sky like a tidal wave.

“Is that not Hun Wanshan from the Soul-Leaving Sect?” Qian Renji’s expression darkened as she spoke in a low, grim voice. Recognition dawned the moment he moved within range.

“Sect Lord Hun, what brings you here? I am Qian Renji, a mentor from the Profound Connection Divine Palace. We met a million years ago at the Palace, if I recall correctly.”

“So, the Profound Connection Divine Palace is involved. Regardless, I am here to settle a blood feud. Do not interfere, or I will not hesitate to strike you down, regardless of your affiliation,” Hun Wanshan growled. Though he recognized her, he made it clear he would not spare her if she attempted to stand in the way of justice for his son. He would destroy Jiang Chen even if it meant declaring war on the entire Profound Connection Divine Palace.

Qian Renji was taken aback, realizing the depth of the enmity. “Sect Lord Hun, Jiang Chen is my pupil. I am unaware of the grievance between you, but surely a man of your stature has no need to torment a younger cultivator.”

Qian Renji understood that a conflict now would be disastrous. Furthermore, the presence of millions of Soul-Leaving Sect disciples suggested this was no spur-of-the-moment raid; he was fully prepared for a massive engagement. Had he mobilized his entire Sect just to hunt down one man? It seemed he intended to escalate this into a full-scale war.

“Haha! You have not heard? Jiang Chen slaughtered my only son. Do you truly wonder what I intend to do? It is said that failing to discipline the child brings ruin to the parent. You are responsible for your disciple’s arrogance. Today, I will kill you both, and if it offends the Profound Connection Divine Palace, so be it!” Hun Wanshan’s gaze turned predatory.

Qian Renji was shell-shocked. She had never imagined Jiang Chen had murdered Hun Shaoqian, a prodigy rivaling the Three Dragons of the Outer Palace. If he had done this while still a fledgling Divine King, he was clearly a catastrophe in human form.

“There is nothing left to say. Sect Lord Hun, are you prepared to go to war with the Profound Connection Divine Palace?”

She realized then that peace was off the table. With Jiang Chen currently absorbed in his alchemy, it was impossible for the three of them to fend off the entire Soul-Leaving Sect. Hun Wanshan alone was a nightmare, and the Soul-Leaving Sect’s strength in Jile City was absolute. No one could stand against them in open combat.

“Do not threaten me with your Palace. I am not a dimwitted child; they will not throw away their future for a single disciple. My son died at his hands, and I will have his life—and yours—for it. I will let the world know that the bloodline of Hun Wanshan cannot be spilled with impunity!” Hun Wanshan snorted, his eyes burning with unrelenting murderous intent as he glared at Qian Renji and her group.
