Divine King of Honour Chapter 1917: What Makes You Qualified?
Previously on Divine King of Honour...
The Netherworld Lord’s grand sermon, an event occurring merely once every three centuries within the hallowed Netherworld God Temple, commenced.
This singular occasion marked the sole time the Netherworld God Temple’s peak would be accessible to those outside its inner circle.
"Junior Brother Xu Fenn, shall we ascend together? I presume you’ve never visited the summit before," Ye Shumin inquired, arriving at Xu Fenn’s dwelling with a warm smile.
"Indeed, I have not," Xu Nian replied with a smile.
The Netherworld God Temple maintained exceptionally stringent regulations, ordinarily forbidding disciples like them from venturing onto the summit.
Access was exclusively granted on the day the Netherworld Lord delivered teachings, opening the path for ordinary disciples.
Guided by Ye Shumin, Xu Nian ascended towards the peak.
The summit revealed itself to be a spectacle even grander than his anticipations.
Numerous cave residences dotted the landscape, each exuding an aura of power far surpassing those he had encountered before.
These abodes, he surmised, were likely the sanctuaries of experts at the God Level and beyond.
Upon entering the summit's perimeter, Xu Nian immediately detected no less than a dozen probes of Soul Power.
The caliber of these Soul Powers registered at a minimum of the God Level, with several exhibiting even greater might.
Among them, two or three emanated extraordinarily potent Soul Powers, indicative of the Late Stage of the God Level.
"It appears the security for this sermon is unusually stringent. These God-level Experts will likely scrutinize every attendee with great care," Xu Nian mused internally.
While aware of the Netherworld God Temple’s formidable array of experts, the sensation of so many potent Soul Powers converging upon him caused Xu Nian considerable internal astonishment.
"Whoosh!"
Swiftly, they touched down upon the summit.
At that juncture, hundreds of individuals had already congregated on the peak.
The assembly comprised individuals predominantly of Divine level and higher cultivation, with a significant number of God-level Experts present.
"So this is the Netherworld's zenith of power? Should the constraints of cosmic laws not exist, these experts alone would suffice to level the Immortal, Demon, and Devil Worlds," Xu Nian pondered.
Naturally, not all of the Netherworld God Temple's most powerful were in attendance; it was rumored that beings at the Daluo God Level existed within its ranks, though Xu Nian did not observe them at that moment.
From the prevailing atmosphere, it seemed they preferred to remain elusive.
"Let us take a seat here," Ye Shumin indicated a position within the central expanse of the plaza.
This locale offered a balance, neither too forward nor too secluded.
The seating arrangement, implicitly understood, corresponded to the cultivators' relative strength.
Lesser experts hesitated to occupy prime spots, fearing displacement by more powerful individuals arriving later, an act that would bring considerable shame.
Consequently, those seated in this area were, for the most part, cultivators at the Peak of the Divine level.
"Very well," Xu Nian readily agreed.
Considering his current prowess, individuals at the Peak of the Divine level posed no challenge whatsoever.
Even against an expert in the Early Stage of God, he felt confident in his ability to contend.
However, he wished to avoid drawing undue attention for the time being, as his publicly displayed cultivation remained at Nether Emperor Perfection.
A sense of anticipation for the forthcoming sermon filled Xu Nian.
He harbored a hope that these teachings might provide the key to transcending the Heavenly Dao.
"To what level has the Netherworld Lord truly ascended?" Xu Nian inquired, his curiosity piqued.
"The Netherworld Lord, my esteemed lady? As far back as one hundred thousand years ago, she attained the zenith of the Luo God Heavenly Dao. By now, it is probable she has advanced into the Ten Thousand Dao Level," Ye Shumin responded, a tone of awe coloring his voice.
The Ten Thousand Dao Level?
Xu Nian was profoundly taken aback.
The hierarchy of Insight Cultivation was structured into seven distinct tiers: Great Tao, Heavenly Dao, Luo God Heavenly Dao, Ten Thousand Dao, Order, Heavenly Destiny Order, and finally, Chaos Order.
Based on his present level of comprehension, Xu Nian was merely at the cusp of the Great Tao.
A vast six realms of progression lay before him.
In essence, with his current Cultivation, he occupied the lowest echelons of the Divine World.
It was no wonder the Netherworld Lord commanded dominion over an entire realm; he had not anticipated her mastery of the Ten Thousand Dao Level.
This was a state of existence Xu Nian scarcely dared to even conceptualize.
Regarding his own Master, Emperor Ye Tian, Xu Nian had once sought clarification on her attained level.
Emperor Ye Tian had not explicitly stated it, but Xu Nian had gathered a strong impression that she had once reached the Heavenly Destiny Order.
Regrettably, her soul had sustained damage, necessitating a complete re-cultivation of much of her insight.
"For this sermon, will the Netherworld Lord's avatar truly manifest?" Xu Nian questioned.
"It is expected. However, the method of manifestation varies with each occasion. At times it is an Illusory God Dharma, other times a direct descent of a Soul Avatar. The specifics for this time remain unknown," Ye Shumin explained.
Xu Nian lapsed into contemplation.
If it was an Illusory God Dharma descending, then it wasn’t truly the Netherworld Lord herself, only a phantom condensed from Soul Power. In that case, it would be even harder for Xu Nian to speak with the Netherworld Lord. If a Soul Avatar descended, then he might still have a sliver of chance.
"Brat, get lost."
Just as Xu Nian was deep in thought, a burly man walked over. This burly man was extremely robust, clad in black Battle Armor, his aura full and fierce. Clearly, he had already reached the Peak of Divine level.
His words immediately drew a lot of attention. For a moment, everyone watched Xu Nian with the attitude of watching a show.
Xu Nian frowned and looked around, discovering that there were still many seats available in this central area. Yet this big man just had to pick his spot. It was obvious he was here to cause trouble.
"Li Kunn, there are plenty of seats around. Don’t make trouble," Ye Shumin spoke out immediately. Others might not know Xu Nian’s strength, but she had some understanding. Since she’d dared to bring Xu Nian to this spot, it naturally meant he had the strength for it.
"Hmph, Ye Shumin, I’m teaching the newbie the rules. What are you sticking your nose in for?" Li Kunn sneered. "Brat, first time here, right? Hasn’t anyone told you the rules here?" Li Kunn turned and looked at Xu Nian.
"What rules?" Xu Nian asked with a faint smile.
"Don’t you know the seats here are arranged according to strength? This isn’t a place you can sit," Li Kunn sneered.
"Then what strength is required to sit here?" Xu Nian still asked with a smile.
Li Kunn narrowed his eyes. What a clueless brat. This guy was clearly picking a fight with him.
"Very simple. Unless you have the strength to beat me, you can obediently roll to the back," Li Kunn said with a cold smile.
"Li Kunn, you’ve gone too far," Ye Shumin said angrily.
"Ye Shumin, you’re protecting this pretty boy so much. Don’t tell me he’s your little lover?" Li Kunn said with a light chuckle.
"You..." Ye Shumin was just about to refute him. But was pulled back by Xu Nian. "Ye, can we fight here?" Xu Nian asked.
"We can, as long as you don’t kill anyone!" Ye Shumin said. Hearing this, Xu Nian immediately smiled.
"As long as we can fight. You just said that as long as I beat you, I’m qualified to sit here. Then let’s do it." Xu Nian looked at Li Kunn calmly. Li Kunn’s eyes turned cold at his words. This brat actually dared to fight him.
Many people around also revealed looks of surprise. A Nether Emperor dared to challenge the Peak of Divine level? For a time, even those God-level Experts looked over at Xu Nian with curiosity.
