Xu Nian forged a top-grade divine artifact for Shi Shanshan, but a sudden thunderstorm struck, severely damaging her soul. With Emperor Ye Tian's guidance, Xu Nian transformed Shi Shanshan into an Artifact Spirit for the God Sword to preserve her soul origin. Shi Shanshan accepted her new form, vowing to be the sword in Xu Nian's hand.

Xu Nian found it quite surprising that Shi Shanshan so readily accepted her new reality as an Artifact Spirit. For many, such a transformation would be an unbearable truth. "Don't worry," Xu Nian reassured her, "Once I gain enough power, I will grant you your freedom."

"Thank you, Master!" Shi Shanshan responded immediately. Now an Artifact Spirit, and with the God Sword having acknowledged Xu Nian as its master, the title of 'Master' was indeed fitting. Xu Nian felt a touch of awkwardness but didn't object.

He then mused aloud, "Deep within this valley, something seems to be lurking. That powerful thunderstorm couldn't have just appeared out of nowhere." The sudden intensity of the storm had caught him and Shi Shanshan off guard, blasting them away before they could react. Such a potent thunderstorm surely indicated a massive energy release. It was akin to a placid sea suddenly churning with tidal waves; an underlying seismic energy eruption would be the only explanation, as such waves don't manifest from nothing.

"Is Master intending to explore the deepest reaches of this valley?" Shi Shanshan asked, a hint of disbelief in her voice. This Divine Thunder zone was already fraught with peril, and the very heart of it promised unfathomable dangers.

"Yes, since I am here, I must investigate," Xu Nian declared. He then summoned his true form. Shi Shanshan paused, a flicker of understanding crossing her features. "Master, this is your true self?"

"Indeed. Now that things have reached this point, I won't hide it from you. I hail from the Immortal Realm. I entered the Netherworld on a mission to deliver an item to the Netherworld Lord," Xu Nian confided. Since Shi Shanshan was now bound to him as an Artifact Spirit, sharing this secret felt permissible.

"Deliver something to the Netherworld Lord?" Shi Shanshan exclaimed in astonishment. She had never imagined Xu Nian's purpose in the Netherworld was to seek out its ruler. The Netherworld Lord was known to despise inhabitants of the Three Realms; any encounter could spell immediate obliteration for Xu Nian.

"I have never seen the Netherworld Lord myself. It is said he is unfathomable, and his residence is beyond the reach of even ordinary Divine-level experts," Shi Shanshan added, a note of concern in her voice. Xu Nian nodded, acknowledging the difficulty ahead. Her words, though cautionary, were understandable.

Without further discussion, Xu Nian began making his way towards the valley's deepest point. He soon found himself within the Divine Thunder zone, the crackling bolts striking his body with a numbing force. Yet, this intensity posed no significant threat to him. He pressed onward, advancing several hundred meters.

After approximately five hundred meters, he felt the Divine Thunder's power noticeably intensify, doubling its force. The bolts now struck his body like a whip, inflicting pain, though he could still endure the onslaught and continue his advance. It was only when he reached the thousand-meter mark that the thunder's terrifying power became almost unbearable.

"Such potent Divine Thunder! Its strikes can even crack my skin," Xu Nian marveled, surprised by the sheer force. At this point, the thunder's power was comparable to the third heavenly tribulation faced during Emperor Fuhua's ascension. Even with his robust physique, relying solely on his body to withstand such continuous barrage was impossible.

Consequently, Xu Nian promptly donned the Supreme Dragon Robe. Once clad in it, the Divine Thunders inflicted no harm. This Chaos Divine Artifact rendered him impervious, regardless of the thunder's strength.

"Oh, what manner of Divine Artifact is this?" Shi Shanshan inquired, her voice filled with awe. She marveled at Xu Nian possessing such a formidable artifact, seemingly of a caliber even surpassing the Divine Artifact classification. How many more secrets did he hold? Shi Shanshan found herself increasingly unable to fathom the depths of his being.

Without hesitation, Xu Nian, now protected by the Supreme Dragon Robe, hurried deeper into the valley. He soon arrived at its deepest section, only to be met with a sight that profoundly shocked him.

In the heart of the valley sat an elder, his hair and beard as white as snow. Terrifying Divine Thunders surrounded him, yet they struck harmlessly, merging into his body and vanishing. He sat there like a formidable deity, exuding an immense pressure that bore down on Xu Nian. It was the first time Xu Nian had ever experienced such overwhelming pressure.

"Divine-level!" Xu Nian instantly recognized the elder as a true Divine-level expert. While he had encountered the Beast God at a similar level before, those beings were constrained by the Heavenly Dao.

The resulting pressure wasn't terrifying.

But now, this Divine-level expert was genuinely at the Divine level.

Xu Nian could distinctly feel the palpable Dao oppression emanating from the elder.

At the elder’s feet lay a colossal Demonic Beast.

This Demonic Beast was none other than the previously injured Thunder Beast.

Xu Nian's brows drew together instantly.

A severely ominous feeling washed over him.

Perhaps the preceding thunderstorm had been orchestrated by this Divine-level expert.

"Hum!"

Just as Xu Nian was contemplating, the elder's eyes suddenly snapped open.

They blazed with an incredibly potent divine radiance.

Immediately, Xu Nian felt as though a primeval beast was fixing its gaze upon him, causing his entire frame to tremble involuntarily.

"Is this the pressure of a Divine-level expert? A mere glance can make my will falter?" Xu Nian wondered in astonishment.

He even felt his body utterly immobilized.

Before such a Divine-level expert, he was akin to a mere ant.

He could be effortlessly crushed by his opponent.

The disparity was immense, like an uncrossable chasm.

"Did you injure my pet?" the elder inquired, his voice resonating like an ancient bell from bygone eras, possessing an infinite penetrating power.

"Junior Xu Nian greets Senior. I was unaware it was your pet previously; please forgive my transgression," Xu Nian hastily apologized.

To face a Divine-level expert without showing deference was truly courting death.

At this moment, Shi Shanshan was also taken aback.

She had not anticipated that a Divine-level expert would be dwelling deep within the Heavenly Thunder Pool.

"Regardless of whether your actions were intentional, you injured my pet, and you must pay a price," the elder stated calmly.

He then propelled a palm strike forward.

In the ensuing moment, the surrounding Divine Thunder rapidly converged within his palm.

"Boom!"

A Divine Thunder Palm struck Xu Nian squarely in the chest.

"Pfft!"

Xu Nian's form was sent hurtling backward, a spurt of blood erupting from his mouth.

The speed of this palm strike afforded him no opportunity to react.

Even with the Supreme Dragon Robe shielding him, he could not withstand the thunder's might.

Had it not been for the Supreme Dragon Robe, he might have met his demise.

Xu Nian now regarded the elder with piercing eyes.
