Divine King of Honour Chapter 1797: Xu Yu’s Origins
Previously on Divine King of Honour...
"Big brother, why are you here?" Xu Yu gazed excitedly at Xu Nian and inquired.
He never imagined Xu Nian would show up in this place.
"Naturally, I came looking for you!" Xu Nian replied with a grin.
Right now, Xu Yu had turned into a strikingly handsome youth.
His cultivation base had soared to the early Demon Emperor stage.
This caught Xu Nian somewhat off guard.
After all, he had seized many chances himself to hit the late Demon Emperor stage.
For Xu Yu to achieve this in so little time, it appeared he had encountered plenty of fortunes too.
"Big brother, you came searching for me? Do you realize what this location is?" Xu Yu asked in shock.
He was astonished that Xu Nian had ventured here just to locate him.
"I know full well. Word reached me in the Immortal Realm about your captivity in the Heavenly Dragon Divine Mountain, so I journeyed to the Demon Clan, and at last, I've tracked you down." Xu Nian smiled.
Seeing Xu Yu safe brought him relief.
Had anything gone wrong, he might have lost his mind.
"Big brother, thank you so much. I never dreamed you'd travel all the way from the Immortal Realm to rescue me." Xu Yu expressed with deep emotion.
Gratitude overflowed in his heart for Xu Nian.
"We're brothers; no need for those words. Incidentally, during your time here, did they cause you any issues?" Xu Nian pressed on.
"Issues? None at all—Uncle Li treated me exceptionally well." Xu Yu quickly responded.
"Uncle Li? You refer to the Red Fire Divine Eagle?" Xu Nian questioned.
"Exactly, big brother. Do you know? My parents dwell in the Divine World, and my father leads the Divine Eagle Clan. A massive conflict erupted later, prompting him to rip through space and hurl me into the Mortal World." Xu Yu shared joyfully.
"Uncle Li revealed all that to you?" Xu Nian asked, taken aback.
He hadn't foreseen Xu Yu's origins lying in the Divine World.
"Correct, it was Uncle Li. He originated in the Divine World too, and due to that clash, a Demon God from the Demon God Palace flung him here." Xu Yu explained.
Xu Nian got the picture.
That clarified Xu Yu's heritage.
Offspring of the Divine Eagle Clan's leader.
Yet Xu Nian felt no shock, for Xu Yu had always been remarkably special.
Thus, his lineage was bound to be extraordinary.
"Big brother, Uncle Li cared for me greatly. When I first got confined here, my power was merely at early Demon Sovereign. He aided my awakening and evolution, shared his cultivation resources to boost my strength, and instructed me in comprehending the Dao, letting me advance so rapidly." Xu Yu stated.
Xu Nian gave a nod.
Xu Yu's swift growth was truly fortunate.
"Do you wish to depart with me? I can escort you out!" Xu Nian offered.
"Depart? Is escape truly possible?" Xu Yu exclaimed in surprise.
He'd never learned of anyone exiting the Heavenly Dragon Divine Mountain after entering.
Hence, he'd abandoned all hopes.
Hearing Xu Nian's assurance now filled him with wild excitement.
He trusted Xu Nian wouldn't mislead him.
"Big brother, could we bring Uncle Li along?" Xu Yu requested.
"If that's your desire, we'll bring him too." Xu Nian agreed.
Xu Nian would never deny Xu Yu's wishes.
Xu Yu beamed instantly. "I'll fetch Uncle Li at once!"
Xu Nian smiled warmly.
Abruptly, his face shifted.
"No need anymore; your Uncle Li is already here." Xu Nian announced.
Xu Yu froze in astonishment.
Moments later, over a dozen silhouettes soared from the grand hall.
They materialized instantly in front of Xu Nian and the rest.
At the forefront stood four imposing middle-aged warriors radiating intense pressure.
The combined aura from these four could force even a peak Demon Emperor to shudder.
Xu Nian was convinced these four rivaled his master, the Taichu Immortal Emperor, at minimum.
The foremost man projected an overwhelmingly suppressive presence.
Now, every one of them locked eyes on Xu Nian, scrutinizing him closely.
The lead middle-aged man's gaze burned like flames, intent on piercing through Xu Nian.
Xu Nian's stare was equally piercing as he sized up the man.
He detected the thick malice pouring from him.
"You're Xu Nian?" the leader demanded.
"Indeed, that's me." Xu Nian confirmed.
"Are you aware Sikong Wushang commanded me to slay you?" the leader sneered.
"I suspected as much, but what does Senior Ao Tian intend to do?" Xu Nian shot back with a smirk.
"Sikong Wushang has no power to order me around, yet you truly intrigue me. The Supreme Bloodline flowing in your veins, the Supreme Dragon Robe draped over you, and that Divine Talisman you hold for escape—all of it tempts me greatly," Ao Tian declared.
A trace of scorn flickered in his stare toward Xu Nian.
"Does that mean Senior Ao Tian plans to keep me here?" Xu Nian replied with a bitter smile.
"What do you believe?" Ao Tian responded with fresh disdain.
In a flash, Xu Nian’s gaze sharpened like a blade, surging with fierce battle intent.
Noticing this shift, Xu Yu sensed trouble brewing.
He rushed ahead and demanded, "Uncle Li, what’s happening? Why go after my big brother Xu Nian?"
The red-robed middle-aged man nearby answered Xu Yu, "Yu’er, stay out of this. Move away. This human has to perish!"
"Big brother Xu Nian risked everything to rescue me. How could I ignore that? Whoever tries to hurt my big brother today becomes my foe—Xu Yu’s sworn enemy." Xu Yu shot back icily.
"Yu’er, are you aware of your words? Dare you meddle in Lord Ao Tian’s matters? Have you forgotten Lord Ao Tian vowed to me that slaying this Xu Nian and escaping the Heavenly Dragon Divine Prison means he’ll escort us to the Divine World?" Uncle Li, the middle-aged man, scolded sharply.
"I don’t require his help; I, Xu Yu, will reach the Divine World on my own. Without big brother, I’d be dead already. Thus, today, no one touching my big brother will get past me first." Xu Yu affirmed resolutely.
These words touched Xu Nian deeply.
Uncle Li’s face twisted in rage.
Meanwhile, Ao Tian kept sneering mockingly.
"If death is what you seek, then both of you shall fall." Ao Tian uttered chillingly.
He regarded Xu Yu with utter contempt.
Just a pathetic insect, fancying it could halt a mighty war machine?
"It’s fine, Little Yu. Fall back. No need to get tangled in this. I’ll deal with it alone." Xu Nian clapped Xu Yu’s shoulder reassuringly.
"Big brother, this Ao Tian..." Xu Yu started to protest.
Yet Xu Nian cut him off.
To him, Ao Tian’s strength felt overwhelmingly dreadful.
Even a typical Great Perfection Demon Emperor would crumble before such might.
Big brother lingered only at the late Demon Emperor stage. Regardless of his prowess, matching Ao Tian seemed impossible.
Still, the unyielding resolve in Xu Nian’s eyes forced Xu Yu to hold his tongue.
He trusted his big brother never acted rashly.
If confidence was claimed, it had to be real.
"Got it, big brother. Stay cautious!" Xu Yu urged.
Xu Nian gave a nod.
His eyes then fixed on Ao Tian.
