Damian unleashes his ultimate sword art, Throne Of The Only Sword, against Max. Max counters with his Emotion Severing Sword, guided by the Saint Origin Sword Art. Their clash shatters the arena, but Max's technique finds and severs the source of Damian's power, leading to his defeat. Max is declared the winner.

The victory screen from Max Morgan's battle against Damian Voss slowly faded from the sky above the Eternal Hourglass.

The arena remained heavy with the lingering aura of that single sword clash. Even though the stage had already begun restoring itself under the golden laws of the Eternal Hourglass, countless spectators across the Divine Realm were still trapped in the memory of what they had just seen.

Damian had used the strongest sword attack of Sword Sovereign Heaven, pushing Throne Of The Only Sword to its absolute limit, while Max had answered with the Emotion Severing Path fused with the Saint Order Sword Art and severed the invisible connection that made Damian's final edict absolute.

Damian had lost, but no one could call that defeat humiliating. He had stood as one of the greatest swordsmen of the younger generation and had lost only after using the very peak of his sword path against an even stranger and more terrifying sword.

Angelina Valerius waited until the golden laws repaired the central stage completely before she raised her hand again.

"The second last battle of the Cosmic Ascension Conference will now begin."

The moment those words spread across the Eternal Hourglass, the Divine Realm immediately became tense again. There were only two battles left now. Damian Voss against Revona, then, at last, Max Morgan against Ervin. The champion would be decided after those final results.

The great screen above the arena shifted, and two names appeared.

[Damian Voss] [Revona]

For a moment, the audience fell into a strange silence. Then the entire Divine Realm erupted again.

Sword Sovereign Heaven stood against Void Origin Realm.

The sword that had almost defeated Ervin and had just pushed Max into revealing the Saint Order Sword Art now faced the woman whose Void Origin Eyes had erased Orion's stars, hollowed Kaiden's Grand Void Labyrinth, stripped Ervin's abyss bare, and forced Max to reveal the Dimensional Keeper legacy before she finally fell.

This battle no longer involved undefeated records.

Both had lost.

But that did not reduce the weight of the match at all. If anything, it made it more important in a different way, because this battle would decide who stood higher among the two fallen monsters of the top four.

It would also show whether Damian's sword, which had nearly reached the peak of singular sword authority, could cut through the terrible Null Origin Tide that had stripped even Ervin of all ability to resist.

On his pillar, Damian slowly stood. His face was still pale from his battle with Max, and the Eternal Hourglass had not fully erased the spiritual exhaustion left behind by forcing Throne Of The Only Sword to its limit.

Even so, his posture remained straight, and his eyes carried no frustration, no hesitation, and no fear. A swordsman could lose, but a true swordsman did not let defeat make his blade dull.

Revona also opened her eyes. Her battle with Ervin had clearly consumed her as well. Her Void Origin Eyes looked calmer now, but beneath that calmness was a deep exhaustion.

She had used Return To Nothing, Null Origin Tide, and several deeper applications of Void Origin Realm in consecutive battles against Max and Ervin. Even someone like her could not continue using such powers without paying a price.

Angelina Valerius looked toward both of them.

"Damian Voss."

"Revona."

"Enter the stage."

Two beams of light descended. Damian appeared on one side of the arena with his sword in hand. Revona appeared opposite him, her pale eyes already open and watching.

For a few breaths, neither of them moved. Damian looked at her calmly and said, "I saw your battle with Max and Ervin, and honestly I don't know if I could defeat you."

Revona replied quietly, "Your attack against Max was powerful too but I want to see."

Damian's sword intent rose slowly. "Then we both understand there is no point in delaying."

Revona's eyes deepened. "Yes."

Angelina raised her hand.

[Battle Begins.]

The moment the battle started, both of them used their strongest power without hesitation.

Damian's sword rose.

"Sword Sovereign Heaven."

A vast sword world appeared behind him. Sword-edge mountains pierced upward, rivers of sword light flowed across the sky, and the ancient sword altar stood at the center of that world.

Above it, the palace and the empty throne appeared once again, with the single sword hanging before the throne. Even after his previous defeats, even after exhausting himself against Max, the Sword Sovereign Heaven still descended with terrifying majesty.

Revona's eyes shone.

"Void Origin Realm."

The world behind her became hollow, without sky, ground, sound, or warmth. Only pale-gray emptiness spread behind her, quiet and absolute.

The Void Origin Eyes looked through Damian's sword world, not merely at the sword lights but at the structure behind them, the edict behind the sword path, the connection between Damian and his Pseudo Cosmic Path, and the foundation that allowed his sword heaven to pressure the battlefield.

The two Pseudo Cosmic Paths clashed immediately. Sword light descended, and void emptiness rose.

The first impact split the stage into silver-white sword scars and pale-gray hollow cracks. Golden laws of the Eternal Hourglass poured down at once, strengthening the barrier because this was not a normal collision.

Damian's sword did not merely cut, and Revona's void did not merely defend. Each side was trying to deny the other at the most fundamental level.

Damian attacked first.

"Sword Sovereign Heaven, First Edict, All Blades Refuse Submission."

Countless sword lights descended from above, each one carrying the command of sword sovereignty. They did not scatter loosely across the battlefield. They converged from every angle, each blade-like light aiming for the gaps in Revona's Void Origin Realm.

Revona lifted one hand.

"Void Origin Eyes."

Half of the sword lights vanished before they touched her, and the other half dimmed, losing their killing intent and falling apart in pale-gray ripples. Yet Damian had already expected that. He stepped forward and raised his sword again.

"Sword Sovereign Heaven, Second Edict, One Sword Divides Heaven."

A single enormous sword line descended from above, splitting through the hollow ripples that had swallowed the first edict. It reached Revona faster than the previous attacks, and because it was condensed into one line, her Void Origin Eyes had to focus more sharply to erase it.
