Max and Revona clash in a devastating battle, each pushing their powers to the limit. Max unleashes his full Draconic Essence and Dragon Scales Transformation, overwhelming Revona's defenses. However, a hidden clone manipulates time, creating a brief opening for Max to strike. Just as Max's attack lands, Revona activates her ultimate ability, the Void Origin Realm, unleashing a Null Origin Tide.

Boom!

A pale-gray wave erupted from Revona's body in every direction. It was not like Return To Nothing. Return To Nothing was a condensed point, a terrifying origin of emptiness that gathered all nullified power into one core and returned everything before it to nothingness.

This attack was different. It was larger, wider, and far more reckless. Instead of gathering power into a single point, it released the Void Origin Realm outward as a massive domain-like tide of nullifying energy that spread in all directions at once.

The black flames were the first to touch it. They did not devour it, though they tried. The Devouring Flames Domain roared like a starving beast, sending countless black-flame currents toward the pale-gray tide.

Under ordinary circumstances, Max's black flames would eat power, burn authority, and consume even the structure of techniques.

But the Null Origin Tide was not a normal technique. It carried the same foundation as Revona's fully awakened Void Origin Eyes, and because it spread in every direction at once, there was no single core for the flames to swallow cleanly.

The black flames touched the tide. Then they vanished. Not burned out, and not weakened. Simply vanished.

Max's eyes widened slightly. The seven-colored lightning of Divine King Punishment descended from above, trying to pierce the tide with heavenly judgment, but the moment the lightning entered the pale-gray wave, its destructive authority dulled, flickered, and disappeared as if it had never been released.

The black flames around Max's body dimmed, the draconic pressure covering his scales cracked, and the roaring force of the 5000 Draconic Essences inside him suddenly dropped like a collapsing tide.

Then the four Divine Veins were struck. The Vein of Opening dimmed. The Vein of Vitality stopped surging. The Vein of Speed lost its brilliance, and the Vein of Strength fell silent.

Max felt it all vanish from his body in a single breath. His terrifying physical pressure disappeared, and the full power of the 5000 Draconic Essences was suppressed.

The Dragon Scales Transformation covering his body began fading layer by layer, the Devouring Flames Domain lost its devouring authority, and even the storm world of Divine King Punishment trembled above him before breaking apart into scattered seven-colored sparks.

For the first time in the entire Cosmic Ascension Conference, Max felt his body become empty. Not injured, and not exhausted in the normal sense.

Just empty. It felt as though someone had dried every source of power inside his body and left only the shape of a person behind.

The divine veins that had thundered a moment ago became silent, and the draconic essences that had roared like thousands of dragons became still.

The dragon scales that had made his body stronger than ever before faded from his skin, the black flames around him no longer answered his command properly, and even the seven-colored lightning above the domain collapsed into darkness.

Only Dragonheart remained in his hand, and only the Emotion Severing Path around the sword still existed. But even that was beginning to dull.

The cold severing aura on Dragonheart flickered faintly as the Null Origin Tide pressed against it, and for a moment, even Max felt the edge of his forbidden path being worn down by that dreadful wave of nullification.

The clone's Time Concept also collapsed. Max's pupils contracted as the temporal ripple that should have delayed Revona shattered the instant the Null Origin Tide touched it. The slowed moment vanished, and the accelerated flow around Max disappeared.

The difference in timing that he had created was erased so completely that even the memory of the advantage felt fragile.

'Even time concept was useless? Do I have to use my time Pseudo Cosmic Path?'

For the first time, genuine shock crossed Max's eyes. He had expected Revona to resist, and he had expected her to nullify part of the time distortion after noticing the clone. He had not expected her to release a domain-scale nullifying wave that destroyed every layer of his preparation at once.

The black flames thinned, and the hidden clone was forced back into the darkness, its Time Concept fully severed from the battle rhythm.

Revona stood in the center of the pale-gray tide, blood still at the corner of her lips from using Return To Nothing earlier, her face paler than before, and her aura clearly strained.

This new attack had a cost, a heavy one. Her Void Origin Realm trembled around her, and even her eyes showed faint cracks of exhaustion.

But she was still standing, while Max stood before her with nearly all of his power-ups stripped away.

The black-flame domain still enclosed them from the outside world, but inside, its authority had been hollowed until it looked like a dying night sky.

Revona looked at him quietly.

"Your speed is gone."

Max did not answer.

"Your strength is gone."

The pale-gray tide continued pressing forward.

"Your dragon transformation is gone."

Dragonheart trembled slightly in his hand.

"Your flames cannot devour this."

The remaining Emotion Severing Path flickered faintly.

"Even your time concept has been nullified."

Revona lifted her hand, and the remnants of Return To Nothing formed again beside the spreading Null Origin Tide. It was weaker than before, but with Max's power stripped away, even a weakened Return To Nothing was terrifying enough.

"Accept your defeat, Max Morgan."

The words echoed inside the fading black flames. Outside the Devouring Flames Domain, the entire Divine Realm still could not see what was happening.

They could only watch the black-fire barrier tremble violently, then dim as if something inside had erased its power from within. The spectators grew restless, and the top geniuses on the pillars narrowed their eyes, sensing that the flow of the battle had changed drastically.

Inside the domain, Max looked at Revona in silence. His body felt dry. His divine veins were silent, and the draconic essences no longer answered.

The Dragon Scales Transformation had fully faded, Divine King Punishment had collapsed, and the Devouring Flames Domain was dying. His clone's Time Concept had failed. Only Dragonheart remained, along with the dulling Emotion Severing Path.

For any other genius, this would have been despair. But Max slowly smiled. It was not a wide smile. It was light, calm, and almost appreciative.

"You are the strongest genius I have ever faced and the only one to push me this far."

Revona's eyes flickered slightly. Max meant it. Not Damian. Not Ervin. Not Orion. Not Kaiden. Not Rakan. Not Aurelian.

At this moment, with all of his layered powers stripped away by her fully awakened Void Origin Eyes, with his Devouring Flames Domain weakened, with his time strategy broken, and with his body nearly emptied of strength, Max truly acknowledged her.

Revona was the most difficult opponent he had faced so far.

But that didn't mean he would accept his defeat.
