Orion unleashes his full power, combining nine stars into a devastating close-combat assault. Max initially blocks barehanded but soon draws his sword, Dragonheart. As Orion presses his relentless star-infused attacks, Max reveals his "Emotion Severing Path," an aura that disrupts the rhythm and intent behind Orion's power, creating a dangerous clash.

The more they clashed, the more Orion could feel that Max's sword was not only attacking his body but also trying to cut apart the battle intent, momentum, and converged star rhythm that allowed him to chain one brutal attack into another.

Still, Orion refused to yield. His injuries from earlier battles, the strain of Full Star Convergence, and the pressure of the Emotion Severing Path all gathered together, but instead of weakening his spirit, they seemed to force him into an even more desperate brilliance.

He leapt back once and raised both hands.

"Nine Star Sovereign Body, Starfall Extinction!"

The ancient star palace behind him trembled, and all nine stars within his body burned to their peak. A massive stellar force gathered around his right arm, layer after layer and star after star, until his whole arm looked as though it carried the collapse of a miniature cosmos.

The crowd was stunned. He was using that technique again, and from the beginning state of Full Star Convergence.

Orion appeared before Max like a falling comet. "Take this, Max!"

The fist came down. Max looked at the incoming attack calmly, and then his eyes grew colder. The Emotion Severing Path around Dragonheart deepened. He gripped the sword with both hands and brought it down in a single decisive slash.

"Sever."

The two attacks collided. For one breath, the arena went white with star light and dark-gray severing force. Then a crack appeared. It was not in the stage, and it was not in the barrier. It was in the star force itself.

Max's Emotion Severing Path had cut into the converged will behind Orion's Starfall Extinction, severing the furious upward battle spirit that held its star layers together. The moment that invisible support cracked, the immense stellar force began collapsing unevenly.

Orion's eyes widened. Max's slash continued. The star fist broke apart, the star layers shattered, and the stellar pressure split in two. Then Max's figure passed through the broken light and appeared before Orion. Dragonheart stopped before his throat.

The entire arena fell silent. Orion stood frozen. The glow of Full Star Convergence around his body flickered once, then again, and then finally dimmed. He tried to steady himself, but the overuse of his Pseudo Cosmic Path and the destruction of Starfall Extinction had already drained too much of his strength.

For a few breaths, he simply stared at the sword before his throat. Then he laughed. It was not a bitter laugh. It was bright, honest, and filled with excitement even in defeat.

"You really are ridiculous," Orion said, breathing heavily. "I used my Full Star Convergence from the beginning, and you still cut through everything."

Max lowered Dragonheart slightly. "You forced me to take out my sword and use the Emotion Severing Path seriously from the start," Max replied. "That is enough to show your strength."

Orion shook his head and smiled helplessly. "That sounds like comfort."

"It is not."

Orion looked at him for a moment, then laughed again and finally raised both hands in surrender. "I surrender."

Angelina Valerius announced the result calmly.

[Winner: Max Morgan.]

[Orion Starfall Defeated.]

The great screen above the arena changed immediately.

[Max Morgan]

The Divine Realm erupted once more. At the Black Dragon Clan, disciples shouted with excitement, some in pure joy, some in disbelief, and some with a pride that had long since surpassed their earlier expectations. Lady Virelia looked at the screen with bright eyes and a faint smile, while several elders exchanged astonished glances. Across the seven great families tied to the Black Dragon Clan, many leaders who had once only hoped Max would perform well in the Cosmic Ascension Conference now had no choice but to admit that he had become one of the most terrifying young geniuses in the entire Divine Realm.

At the Nine Star Court, the disciples were disappointed but not ashamed. Orion had gone all out from the beginning, and no one who watched that battle could say he had performed poorly. He had attacked with the courage and brilliance worthy of the strongest genius of the Nine Star Court.

On the stage, Orion let out a long breath. "I lost," he said simply, though his smile never faded. "But that was fun."

Max sheathed Dragonheart. "You are one of the best opponents here."

Orion grinned. "Good. Then next time, I will force even more from you."

Max smiled faintly. "I will wait."

The transfer light descended and returned both of them to their pillars. The battle had ended. Max Morgan remained undefeated, and with each battle, the final competitive stage moved closer to its true deciding point.

After Max defeated Orion, the atmosphere inside the Eternal Hourglass remained heated for a long time. Orion returned to his pillar with a tired but satisfied smile, his star armor cracked, his aura unstable, and his body still trembling from the backlash of using Full Star Convergence and Starfall Extinction against Max.

Yet no one looked down on him. He had known from the beginning that anything below his Pseudo Cosmic Path would be useless, so he had burned everything from the first breath. He had forced Max to draw Dragonheart and use the Emotion Severing Path seriously, and for someone who had already suffered through battles against Revona, Ervin, and Aurelian, that result alone was enough to make the Nine Star Court proud.

Max returned to his own pillar calmly. His record now stood at twenty-four battles and twenty-four victories, the same as Damian Voss. But the final competitive stage had not truly ended.

The battle count and record projection above the arena began shifting, and several names continued rotating through the final remaining matchups. Some participants had already finished all their battles, while a few important names still had several pairings left. The Eternal Hourglass gave no one special treatment.

Those who had not yet crossed paths would still be matched, and only after every necessary result had been recorded would the final ranking become complete.

Angelina Valerius raised her hand again.

"The final competitive stage will continue."

The next few battles came quickly.

[Revona vs Fin Arclight]

Fin Arclight stepped into the arena with a grim expression. He knew Revona was one of the worst possible opponents for him, but surrendering without trying would be too shameful for someone who had already reached this stage.

The moment the battle began, he opened Pale Eclipse Burial and tried to cover the entire stage in moonless darkness. Pale eclipse light spread outward, suppressing sight, sound, rhythm, and direction, while the Moonless Descent blade formed silently above Revona's head.

Revona looked up once. The Void Origin Eyes opened fully, and the Moonless Descent blade faded before it could fall. Fin immediately shifted positions and used "Pale Eclipse Burial, Eclipse Shadow Division," creating several pale afterimages that attacked from different angles, but Revona's gaze followed the true source of each strike.

One by one, the pale shadows vanished. When Fin tried to compress the eclipse field and launch one final attack, Revona opened a small portion of the Void Origin Realm and hollowed the center of the field before it could collapse around her.

Fin lowered his blade and surrendered.

[Winner: Revona.]

[Fin Arclight Defeated.]

[Battle Record Updated.]

[Revona]

[Total Wins: 21]

The result caused little surprise. Revona's strength had already been proven repeatedly, and after defeating Orion, Rakan, and Kaiden, no one expected Fin to be the one to break her undefeated record.

The next important match came after several faster results among the lower-ranked participants.

[Ervin vs Morgana Starveil]

Morgana entered the stage with a faint smile, but her eyes were extremely serious. Her Star-Curse Labyrinth was one of the most troublesome Pseudo Cosmic Paths among the top twenty-five, yet Ervin's Abyssal Origin Descent had already swallowed too many different types of authority. She did not waste time with small curses.

The moment the battle began, the Star-Curse Labyrinth opened, and violet-black mirrors filled the stage, each one carrying a different misfortune, binding, or distortion curse.
