Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100 Chapter 1530 Max's Confusion!

Max approached with his eyes fixing right on Lucia, his face growing a bit grave. He skipped any pointless chatter right away.
"What are you doing here?" he questioned straight out, his voice steady yet laced with obvious annoyance over the surprise.
Lucia reacted in a flash.
"What am I doing here? Are you kidding me?!" she fired back, her tone sharpening as shock crossed her features. She advanced a step, obviously annoyed while glancing from Max to Isabella.
"You two, the Saint and the Saintess of the Black Dragon Clan, are on the verge of departing the Black Dragon Palace for one of the deadliest planets across the whole Divine Realm, and you're really asking what I'm doing here?"
Her remarks burst forth quick and biting, yet after letting out her anger, she halted abruptly and drew in a steadying breath.
"You should consider yourselves fortunate that Aunt Virelia trusts your judgment," she stated. "But in my opinion, she trusts you a little too much. If it were any other elder, this would have been reported to the clan immediately, and both of you would have been stopped from leaving."
Then she crossed her arms, her stare firm as she landed the key remark. "In any case, she asked me to come along. My job is to make sure the two of you do not end up dead on Orion."
Max stayed silent through it all, and at Lady Virelia's name, he nodded faintly like pieces clicked together. "So Master sent you," he remarked evenly, verifying his hunch. He'd figured Lucia's showing up wasn't coincidence, and with confirmation, he let it drop.
Yet Lucia kept going.
"Now that I am coming with you," she declared solidly, "I need to know something. Why exactly are you going to Orion?" Her gaze tightened a touch as she eyed him. "What is the reason behind this trip?"
Max held off replying at once. He pivoted instead and headed for the Star Shuttle, his pace relaxed like the query lacked press. "It is a secret mission," he replied coolly over his shoulder. "And that mission will remain a secret until we arrive at Orion."
With that, he boarded the Star Shuttle.
Lucia eyed his retreating figure briefly before her look soured. She trailed him in without delay, refusing to drop it.
"What secret mission?" she pressed upon entering. "Max, you better explain what you are talking about."
Isabella sighed softly from the rear as she observed them. A touch of helpless acceptance showed on her face while she moved ahead too. "It seems this will be a long journey," she whispered low before boarding the Star Shuttle.
The shuttle's inside proved much roomier than its outer size suggested. It resembled a grand house in scale, divided into zones for epic interstellar trips.
Max ventured deeper in, giving the layout a quick once-over. All stood ready for the star-spanning voyage.
"Max, did you hear what I said?!" Lucia's shout echoed through the Star Shuttle, shattering the quiet post-launch hush.
Max shot her a leisurely look, then plopped into a chair like her ire meant nothing. He reclined a bit, arm draped over the edge, before replying in a relaxed, mildly playful voice.
"Before that, tell me something," he began. "How exactly should I address you? Senior Lucia, Senior Sister Lucia, or since you are the niece of my master, should I call you Master's Niece Lucia?"
Lucia's face clouded over at once, a spark of fury coloring her cheeks. "Just call me Lucia, you moron!" she barked, her tolerance fraying fast.
Max chuckled softly, obviously entertained. "Alright, Lucia it is," he agreed breezily, unshaken.
He shifted ahead a tad, his voice steadying to earnest calm as he went on, "As for the secret mission, I will tell you when we reach Orion. You have my word."
Lucia fixed him with a piercing stare for seconds, probing his motives. "You better," she warned icily. "Otherwise, I would not mind letting you get lost somewhere on Orion."
Right then, the Star Shuttle hummed with vibration. Formation arrays whirred to life, and soon it rose fluidly skyward. The land fell away fast as it rocketed through the heavens at breakneck pace.
Isabella manned the controls with sure, exact motions, steering clear of Black Dragon Clan lands into the endless void.
Max looked Lucia's way once more, her prior talk sparking a query. "Have you been to Orion before?" he inquired. "The way you spoke just now, it sounds like you are familiar with that place."
Lucia drew herself up, pride flickering across her. "Of course I have," she affirmed. "Do you think Aunt Virelia would send me with you if I had no experience with Orion? That place is not something you can deal with just by being strong. You need knowledge of the terrain, the dangers, and the unpredictable nature of that world."
Arms crossed anew, she pressed on with assured poise. "I am a true disciple of the Black Dragon Clan. Because of that, I have been to several planets beyond our home world. Orion is just one of them."
Max nodded deliberately while absorbing it, grasping disciple rank gaps better. True disciples enjoyed perks worlds apart from regular or direct ones.
Resources, tasks, and outer realm exposure all forged their power uniquely.
After a short lull, Max posed again. "What is your current cultivation realm?"
Lucia replied promptly. "Second level of the Law Manifestation Realm," she disclosed evenly.
Max's brow creased faintly at the news. "Second level of the Law Manifestation Realm?" he echoed, face turning pensive. "Then does that not mean you cannot participate in the Cosmic Ascension Conference?"
Lady Virelia had informed him that geniuses needed Law Refinement Realm for the Cosmic Ascension Conference. Lucia's power sat at Law Manifestation Realm's 2nd level, surpassing that and barring entry.
And Max recalled true disciples got massive clan backing for this event.
But with true disciples at Law Manifestation Realm, how could they qualify if Law Refinement Realm was the cutoff?
