Dimensional Keeper: All My Skills Are at Level 100 Chapter 1490 Defeating Empress Luna!

Max kept his expression composed.
This time, he elevated his sword a touch higher.
The intense essence of the fifth-level severing sword concept coursed powerfully along his blade while he unleashed the Void Severing Star Scripture sword art.
A soft radiance collected at the sword's edge.
This represented the opening strike of the technique.
Star Severing Sword.
Max moved ahead and brought his sword slicing down.
The sword beam exploded outward like a descending star ripping open the void. The fearsome edge of the strike smashed straight into the oncoming arrow.
For one brief instant, the two energies battled ferociously at the arena's heart.
Then the sword beam ripped the arrow apart entirely.
The formidable third arrow broke apart right away beneath the dominant slashing power. Its power burst out before dissolving into scattered bits of light that disappeared into the atmosphere.
The battlefield fell quiet again as the remnants of the strike faded away.
Empress Luna remained still in the arena. Her stunning visage had dropped the assured poise from before, and her eyes stretched wide in total shock. For a short while, she said nothing.
The pieces of the destroyed arrow lingered, fading in the air nearby, as the heavy quiet of the battlefield bore down on her.
She had faced defeat previously.
Within the broad Divine Realm, two other Combat Towers like the one in the Black Dragon Clan were present. Her soul fragment had met endless opponents in those towers, and numerous mighty disciples had succeeded in beating her through the years.
Still, none of those triumphs had happened quite like this one. In every earlier fight, her adversaries had fought hard against her three arrows. Even those who made it through had hardly held up against the last arrow, left hurt and worn out.
But the young man in front of her had sliced through all three arrows like they meant nothing.
Not only did he outlast them, he wiped them out with clear determination and no effort.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The noise of steps rang out across the arena as Max started heading toward her. His pace stayed even and relaxed, with subtle flashes of seven-hued lightning still sparking near his form. Every step closed the distance more until he came to a stop right in front of her.
"I told you before," Max said with a faint smile. "You are someone I can kill with a single strike."
Before Empress Luna could answer, Max's sword shimmered.
The motion was fast and exact. A line of light cut through the air, and in the next instant, her head came loose from her body. Her neck was sliced clean, and the look of surprise stayed fixed on her face as her head dropped to the ground.
For a moment, the arena stayed hushed.
Then her body started to break down slowly. Her shape split into endless specks of red light that floated lightly through the air before vanishing for good.
With her vanishing, the ninety-first floor of the Combat Tower was now cleared.
----
A great distance away from the Verdant Sky Star Realm, beyond vast stretches of stars and empty cosmos, sat a huge planet that overshadowed normal heavenly objects. Its face held wide continents, infinite waters, and massive mountain chains that reached toward the skies.
In the middle of one of its most splendid zones stood a palace that projected command and strength.
The palace appeared as a real kingly home. Its build was impressive and regal, with huge columns shaped from shining rock and broad rooms that shone with dim golden glow. Endless detailed markings were carved on the walls, each holding deep rules of force that hummed softly across the whole building.
The nearby areas featured gardens packed with uncommon spirit herbs, while currents of clear energy ran like streams around the palace.
In one of the peaceful rooms inside this palace, a woman rested.
She levitated in crossed legs just an inch from the floor, meditating in total quiet. Her long red hair drifted softly behind her while a peaceful energy wrapped her body. Her eyes stayed shut, and her breaths came regular as she sank into profound cultivation.
After a while, her eyelids rose gradually.
The instant her eyes opened, a keen and searching light burst from them. The serene power around her body shifted a little as a soft wave of strength rippled through the room.
"Finally someone from that third-rate clan managed to defeat my soul fragment," she muttered softly. Her voice mixed surprise and interest. "But he was far too strong for such a clan. His presence reminded me of the geniuses from those powerful forces."
Her look became reflective as she worked to remember the fight's details she had felt through the bond with her fragment.
"What was his name again?" she said to herself. "Max Morgan."
The second she said that name, her eyes narrowed sharply.
A risky idea started to take shape in her mind.
"Wait a minute," she whispered as understanding came over her bit by bit. "Could this be the same Max who has recently become famous all over the Divine Realm for being recognized by the sword of the Sword Sovereign?"
As she kept thinking, more connections started to link up.
The bold self-assurance he showed in the battle, the odd steadiness in his words, and the total ease in beating her soul fragment all suggested the same result. His power had been scary, even without showing all his skills. The last sword cut that finished it had been sharp and simple.
Only someone approved by the Sword Sovereign's sword could have such amazing skill.
"No wonder he said killing me would be as easy as moving his sword once," the woman said gently as she released a soft breath of insight.
For a moment, she kept quiet as her eyes moved to the far sky outside the palace.
"With so many geniuses like Max appearing all over the Divine Realm, this time's Cosmic Ascension Conference might become one of the greatest in history," she said slowly. "No wonder the Primordials have decided to host the conference this time."
