Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf Chapter 1788 - 1003: Return to the Sky Wolf System!

Previously on Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf...
The invaders from the Sea of Star Sand unleashed brutal devastation upon the Heavenly Horse Stellar System, shattering its defenses with eight Extinction Arrows and over thirty advanced killing devices. The Phantom Army, hastily expanded and led by Charm Fox, Shadow of Plague, and allies like the Musk Ox King, collapsed in chaos despite fierce resistance, with the Musk Ox King dismembered and the Blue-eyed Fox slain. Survivors, including Charm Fox and the American Murderous Scorpion, fell into captivity, subjected to nightmarish torture by the Fallen Angel and the frenzied Ninth Son of the Radiant Sun, who sought to harvest negative emotions as Sinners to fuel their power and ambitions.

"Very well, I thank you, Forefather. Once I restore the Haori Star System, I shall undoubtedly allocate eighty percent of its resources to both you and the Star Sand Master!"

The ninth son of Radiant Sun seemed wild and deranged, his formerly attractive features mirroring his elder brother's, now contorted into the visage of a savage specter.

Even though vengeance's inferno had utterly consumed him, leaving his sanity in ruins, he remained conscious of the dread instilled by the Forefather and the Star Sand Master standing before him.

He realized too that he served only as a tool in their hands, deployed against the Wolf Pack Civilization.

Yet, what did it matter to be a mere tool?

As a tool charging forward to his doom, the ninth son of Radiant Sun yearned to pull the Wolf Lord—who had slain his father and many elder brothers—along with the entire Wolf Pack Civilization into the depths of the Nine Serenities Yellow Springs!

The Fallen Black Angel gazed upon this ninth son of Radiant Sun and felt a surge of approval deep inside.

Amid the frenzied ruin sweeping through the whole Heavenly Horse Stellar System, with war's blaze now reaching the remote stars under the Phantom Army's control, moments slipped away unnoticed.

.....

Time raced ahead, with months vanishing in an instant.

In that span, the assorted bandits from the Sea of Star Sand didn't truly block the surviving forces of the Phantom Army from heading back to deliver word.

This stemmed from the fact that they had set up a deadly ambush en route, targeted at the mighty forces of the Wolf Pack Civilization.

One could say they merely awaited the Wolf Pack Civilization to step right into their snare of its own accord.

Regrettably, to this day, none of the Phantom Army's spies had made it back.

The reason lay in Charm Fox, who, upon being subdued and captured, had utilized the budding luck of the Variants in the Phantom Army to send her initial—and ultimate—warning from the Phantom Star System.

The directive was plain: for every Exotic Beast in the Phantom Army, fleeing was an option, but requesting help from the Sky Wolf System was strictly forbidden!

Charm Fox understood well that given the Wolf Lord's power and the prowess of the Wolf Pack's diverse forces, they would surely uncover the truth of this conflict.

Should they learn of it and find the timing right, assistance would come without question!

Should they remain unaware, it signaled that the sudden bandits from the Sea of Star Sand had already swept the route clear,

so calling for help then would merely drag their own people into peril.

Charm Fox truly was the outer subordinate selected by the Wolf Lord from myriad elite exotic beasts long ago.

She not only boasted a unique allure all her own, but also displayed unwavering devotion to the Wolf Lord and the Wolf Pack Civilization!

Unlike Little Lone Wolf, Charm Fox harbored her minor personal drives, such as opposing the Wolf Lord on behalf of Red-tailed before!

Yet the Lonely Wolf Emperor never wavered!

Any who dared oppose the Wolf Lord would face death at the Lonely Wolf Emperor's hands, be it Charm Fox, Red-tailed, or fellow ancient comrades—the rule held firm!

Still, Charm Fox had trailed the Wolf Lord through countless bloody clashes across realms from her very beginnings, forging a legendary name.

Thus, her faithfulness hardly fell short of the Lonely Wolf Emperor's own.

Even so, in spite of Charm Fox's last transmission, driven by intense pressure and pursuit from certain formidable bandits in the Sea of Star Sand, a few bands of exotic beasts ultimately escaped toward the Wolf Pack Civilization.

Was this a taunt?

Indeed!

Among these cosmic bandits, which of them lacked hands drenched in vast piles of corpses and rivers of blood?

At minimum, half had clashed with the mighty families of the Star Nebula in the past, so what concern was there in challenging a Wolf Pack Civilization fresh into existence for barely over ten millennia?

They cared little; in fact, they readied themselves to lure the Sky Wolf System—this emerging colossus—out from its stronghold for a clash amid the stars.

That way alone could they taste the most lavish essence from this rising power in the Star Nebula!

Concerning an assault on their core?

They were simply cosmic raiders, not foolish savages devoid of sense!

Lacking any real backing, how could they hurl themselves against the fortress of a Star Nebula powerhouse?

Not even a formidable Star Nebula lineage would rashly deploy troops to strike a robust stellar domain, particularly one fused under three suns as a single realm!

.....

Right when numerous survivors from the Phantom Army were set free by the Sea of Star Sand, compelled to hurry back for reinforcements across the immense cosmos,

the Wolf Lord had long since made his way back to the Sky Wolf System!

In that instant, word of the Wolf Lord's arrival spread through the whole Wolf Pack Civilization, and as he settled in, his decree resounded across the Sky Wolf System.

The order called for assembling every leader above War King Level in the Sky Wolf System at the Southern Territory Mountains to debrief!

War King!

Within the current, enormously expansive Wolf Pack Civilization, hundreds of such War King Level leaders existed!

A complete assembly like this clearly signaled vital matters and deliberations ahead for the Wolf Pack Civilization.

This spurred planets and allied settlements to rush toward the central hub without delay.

Within mere days, every top-tier War King Level figure in the Wolf Pack Civilization had assembled completely.

Now, the Wolf Lord's initial priority involved listening to updates on multiple fronts about Red-tailed.

"To the Wolf Lord, this reflects the progress and growth of our Wolf Pack Civilization across the last seven thousand years, steadfastly adhering to the plans and designs you once set forth!"

Red-tailed, serving as the Wolf Queen, stood second only to the Wolf in the Wolf Pack Civilization, surpassing myriad other races.

Nevertheless, as the Wolf Pack Civilization expanded through relentless conflicts, culminating in the conquest of the full Sky Wolf System,

Red-tailed's role as Wolf Queen actually faded into insignificance and obscurity.
