Devouring Evolution: I Reborn as an Arctic Wolf Chapter 1766: 991: Extinction Arrow, Tenth Heaven Mark!

The power struggle within the Star Nebula Great Clan intensifies as Demon Star Lord and the Emperor’s Son of Demons mobilize their vast internal networks and vassal forces. Amidst a brewing public opinion war, Su Lin continues to strengthen his followers, rewarding the Twelve-winged Dream Butterfly for her loyalty while his subordinates acquire advanced technological blueprints and military resources. Having secured a cache of lethal Extinction Arrows and high-realm longbows through the Emperor's Son, Su Lin prepares for the next phase of the conflict as his influence over the system’s national policy grows.

While the fundamental circumstances may not yet rival those of the Demon Star Lord, the momentum has begun to shift in a favorable direction.

The Demon Prince contemplated that by the time the actual vote occurred, he might achieve a landslide victory without even requiring further provocations from the Black Sun Tribe. Consequently, the Demon Prince had truly begun to view Su Lin as his ultimate savior.

“I possess my own miraculous methods. How many Extinction Arrows do you think you can endure?”

“The Extinction Arrow is crafted by fusing various destruction-type extreme heaven realm rules into its fletching. It carries dimensional truth capable of rapidly eroding heavenly boundary marks, the annihilating will of a black hole, and the corrosive essence of the Absolute Domain’s waters. Such a weapon can grievously wound a peak Heavenly Venerate. Since I hail from the Purple Flame Bull clan, my physical constitution is significantly more robust than other experts of my rank; I can endure one or two arrows without injury, but three would surely wound me, and five would damage my very origin.”

The Demon Prince gave a straightforward response.

The Extinction Arrow sits an entire tier above the Shattering Star Arrow. It no longer limits its destruction to celestial bodies but is designed to eliminate individual targets.

The piercing power of an Extinction Arrow is immense, surpassing even single-target foil-level lethal devices.

Only the Demon Prince, who has tempered his physical body to the late stages of a peak Heavenly Venerate, could survive such projectiles. Other peak Heavenly Venerates would likely be incapacitated by a single strike, and three arrows would surely shatter their heavenly boundary marks.

Even those possessing half-step taboo level bodies would be forced to retreat before an Extinction Arrow. After all, a half-step taboo physique—aside from its dimensional truth—is not qualitatively superior to the peak of the Ten Heavens.

“Very well. Relinquish your purchased Extinction Arrows and your pinnacle heavenly boundary crossbow heavy weaponry to me. Consider this a necessary expenditure for your bid for power, rather than part of my personal compensation.”

A profound strategy was already forming in Su Lin’s mind.

Once this plan was set in motion, it would undoubtedly facilitate the Demon Prince’s total ascension. His reputation might soar to unprecedented heights, perhaps even rivaling the prestige of his father.

This would not only bolster the Ten Thousand Demon System but also secure a steadfast ally for the future struggle over the starry sky.

As Su Lin ventured further into the Blazing Nebula, he recognized a labyrinthine network of over two hundred major clans, none of which were weak. If the Wolf Pack Civilization continued its isolationist path, it risked facing the future without any external support.

Currently, the Wolf Pack Civilization lacked the sheer power required to ignore the collective hostility of all major clans, a feat only the Black Sun Tribe could manage.

“Agreed! Furthermore, Brother Mo Peng, take these two Ten Heavenly Marks. Brother Tian Gui has already stated that once our objective is met, aside from the authority of the Ten Thousand Demon System’s ancestor, all resources shall be yours. You may also select any four treasures from our system. Simply name them when you see something you desire.”

The Demon Prince placed his absolute trust in Su Lin. Though the promised rewards would make even a pinnacle half-step taboo expert feel greed, they were manageable given the vast treasury of a star nebula clan.

“Ten single-target forbidden-level foil killing devices!”

Su Lin did not hesitate to demand another significant asset.

Ten such devices contained immense dimensional truth and lethal power, enough to force even pinnacle half-step taboos or forbidden entities to retreat if they lacked a Fate Altar.

However, standing upon a Fate Altar was equivalent to receiving the blessing of the starry sky’s will and the collective power of billions of lives. With a single thought, such a being could channel the three thousand origin rules and the vast energy of the cosmos, rendering them immune to standard foil-level threats.

If the gap between a peak Heavenly Venerate and a half-step taboo was a world, then the gap between a half-step taboo and a true forbidden existence on a Fate Altar was an entire universe.

They simply no longer existed on the same plane of reality.

A forbidden existence on a Fate Altar could shatter the eight wildernesses with a mere thought. Wielding the three thousand origin rules, they could tear through space-time barriers and even reach into the river of time.

Thus, forbidden-level foil killing devices were mostly useful for aggravating the wounds of such beings during their most vulnerable moments.

Su Lin’s request for ten such weapons was not intended to challenge a forbidden existence in its prime. Instead, he sought to bolster his origin space’s reserves and perhaps, in the future, glean more dimensional truth from their construction.

“Very well! I shall have them delivered shortly!”

The Demon Prince agreed without a second thought.

After handing over the Extinction Arrows, six pieces of pinnacle heavenly boundary crossbow heavy weaponry, and the two Ten Heavenly Marks, the Demon Prince took his leave from the Star Emperor Hall.

Once he was gone, Su Lin summoned the Twelve-winged Dream Butterfly. He intended to begin merging the six pinnacle crossbows into the Falling Star Bow.

Even if the Falling Star Bow did not fully evolve into an extreme heaven realm weapon, its lethality would soon approach that level, far surpassing its current power.

Su Lin mused on the chaos that would ensue if a Black Sun Tribe expert appeared to wield a near-extreme heaven realm bow to pin the Demon Prince to his own base with Extinction Arrows. The Ten Thousand Demon System would surely descend into madness.

He looked forward to seeing what kind of outrage and retaliation such a public humiliation would spark from the Demon Star Lord’s veteran armies, who had already spent eons at war with the Black Sun Tribe.

....

Sander and Tiffany were caught off guard, their hearts swelling with appreciation for the White Wolf. They hadn't anticipated that combat would yield such a bountiful harvest of food.

Sander reflected on his time at the Human Fortress. Back then, he was merely a low-ranking novice, constantly subjected to mockery. Resources were so scarce that precious Variant Species Flesh was hoarded by the elite or high-ranking New Humans; someone of his status could never hope to taste it. Comparing his past to his present, he felt his loyalty to the wolf pack solidify.

To the leadership of the Human Fortress, Tiffany had been nothing more than a functional tool. Like many of her peers, she was considered expendable cannon fodder. During their long isolation in the Arctic, the Fortress had made no attempt to save them, leaving her heart cold. Now, seeing that they could earn fresh Variant Species Flesh through merit alone, both she and Sander reached a silent, firm resolution.

Su Lin watched them closely, reading the genuine shift in their demeanor. This was exactly what he had planned. He surmised that human civilization had crumbled during the Great Ice Age, and for these two, a small show of favor would buy lifelong fealty. For Su Lin, this was a highly profitable exchange. His gaze shimmered with a mysterious light.

The predators in the area watched in awe as the creature that had slain the mighty Mad Thunder Skyhawk paraded its kill toward the Land of Adventure.

Before their stunned eyes, the even more powerful White Wolf appeared, moving with such velocity that he was a mere phantom to the naked eye. A white blur streaked past like a spirit, leaving no trail behind. Within an instant, the White Wolf stood atop a distant ridge, letting out a sky-piercing howl that led the White Wolf Pack deeper into the Arctic wastes.

This image burned itself into the memories of the gathered predators. They would likely never forget the sight of that silver-white wolf for as long as they lived.

To them, this White Wolf was the most terrifying entity they had ever witnessed; his power was incomprehensible, and the authority in his eyes sparked an instinctive, paralyzing dread.

In the Land of Opportunity, the sky of the perpetual day was shrouded in heavy clouds. A suffocating pressure hung in the air, signaling an imminent storm. Freezing gusts swept through every crevice of the Land of Adventure. All beasts retreated to their dens, hiding from the biting winds while preparing to hunt for blood and flesh in the frozen wasteland, all under the gaze of a thousand hidden eyes.
