Devil Slave (Satan system) Chapter 1378: All On A single decision
Previously on Devil Slave (Satan system)...
Seraphina angrily took a step forward.
The void around Lucifer reacted instantly, light bending, and even those fallen halos of the dead angels trembled —as if reality itself expected slaughter.
But Lucifer raised a single lazy finger.
She stopped.
Her brows knit together, a rare frown creasing her perfect features. Restraint was not something saraphina enjoyed. Not when one of his servants had just been erased so publicly.
And yet,
Lucifer did not look at the battlefield. He did not even look at Earth.
It was as if his attention was somewhere else, or rather, waiting for someone else.
And then as if enlightened by an idea, he simply spoke. "Not yet, my dear."
His wings shifted slightly, all six pairs unfurling just enough to blot out stars.
"The first kill on the chessboard does not guarantee the win." he advised.
As if to imply that he was sitting across a worthy opponent.
Kanada, in the command center suddenly looked behind her eyes seemed like she had knowledge of something she shouldn’t.
"Shit! So I’m also a piece."
Meanwhile, Seraphina’s lips tightened.
"But my lord... it is a stain upon your grace."
Lucifer turned his head slowly.
"A stain?"
The single word carried weight enough to fracture lesser minds.
Seraphina’s eyes widened. She dropped instantly to one knee, her forehead pressing into nothingness.
"Forgive me."
Lucifer waved a hand, dismissive, bored.
"Send someone else."
His gaze flicked briefly—almost lazily—toward the distant battlefield.
"Deal with that ant."
He pointed.
At Sharra Void-Tongue.
Seraphina rose, her expression now cold, obedient. She lifted her hand, and her voice carried—echoing not just through space, but through all realms tethered to power.
"By decree of Lord Lucifer Morningstar—"
"The first victory shall be given to the earthlings."
On Earth—
Father Black’s jaw tightened. "...You mean we earned it."
Seraphina’s eyes narrowed as her voice answered him, calm and merciless.
"My lord has decided, as per old traditions..." Her gaze looked around, ensuring the silent battlefield could hear her.
"A champion shall be sent from every realm the Demons recognize as a Realm of Power."
"From Lesser Demon..."
"...to Archaic."
A ripple of dread spread across the planet.
Gods on earth stiffened, they underwhat was going on. They knew what lucifer wanted.
Many Elites from the kalu family that understood this also clenched their fists.
Mortals did not know what he meant, and even them felt it in their bones.
Father Black’s voice rose—no longer localized, but resonating from Earth itself, carried by his Comic energy, leyline, and will.
"And what if we disagree?"
Seraphina frowned.
"Then we release my lord’s Forbidden Holy Tool. Even if many of you are strong eneough to resist, i doubt the Eighth earth will not suffer massive... casualties."
The reaction was instant.
Panic.
Some fell silent in pure terror.
Even ancient beings paled. Who by now did not know of Lucifer’s holy tool. It was a forbidden treasure of mass destruction.
When lenny used it, it had already been frightening. Right now, it was chaos waiting to happen.
In fact, it was a wonder that lucifer did not just whip it out in the first place.
But Father Black did not move. He did not even shout.
His voice came again—steady, composed.
"And what stops you from releasing it anyway?"
"Even if we win?"
This was a good question. After all, lucifer was once the king of demons, and those were not known to be good.
How were they sure that this so called agreement for one person to fight for the earth was going to be held?
Father Black understood that people that had power only respected other people that had power.
If not, I’ll they had to do was take from the people that they did not acknowledge.
This was the rule of the world and how it operated.
It was not just survival of the fittest. It was strength rules the weak, and the weak should please the strong.
One coukd say that it was a kind of birth right.
It was how the world operated.
There was a brief Silence.
And Then—
Lucifer chuckled.
A sound like collapsing galaxies.
He waved his hand.
A contract formed in the void—etched in laws older than the creation of man. Lucifer willed and his thumb drew a line of golden glowing blood across the contract.
The universe recognized the signature.
He flicked the parchment away.
It vanished. And reappeared—
—in front of Father Black.
Seraphina spoke, her voice carrying finality.
"My lord has signed the contract. It is law binding every cell of his being. If you win..."
"We shall leave. And never return for the Eighth Earth."
Inside the control center—
Kanada’s breath caught.
Athena’s eyes sharpened.
Crusher leaned forward.
Alexander stopped smiling.
Every gaze locked onto the floating contract.
The war had just changed shape.
And for the first time—
Lucifer was chosing to play by rules.
If these people had not seen it for themselves, they would have not believed it.
What was going on? No, what motive was behind this?
Was this no longer a war for the survival of the human race?
Was it no longer a war for the eighth earth?
Many were confused on what to do. After all, Lucifer, the one that was supposed to be the strongest party in the war had proposed a wager.
This naturally offsetted a lot plans that father Black had made.
But then again, that was the terrible thing with war, things did not always go according to plan.
It was the Commander’s burden to switch and adjust to the times and needs of the battle.
But this, this was entirely new. They might as well not made any battle preparations.
The contract was there, floating before Father Black.
All eyes were on him, as if to peel through him.
The decision, anything that would happen next was in his hands.
Even worse, this moment was being broadcast to the entire earth, and in turn to the rest of the universe.
Father Black at the time had thought it a good idea to improve morale. But now, the lives of millions of people weighed on a shoulders.
No, on a single decision.
