Kaiden and Aria embrace intimately in a bath, culminating in passionate lovemaking after Aria expresses her desire to continue being a content creator for herself and her fans. Afterwards, they move to bed, and a message arrives from Grace, signaling the start of new endeavors.

Kaiden woke to warmth on all sides and the certainty that his left arm had died sometime before dawn.

Nyx was the culprit.

She’d wrapped both arms around his bicep and pressed her face into his shoulder, pink hair fanning across his chest in a wild tangle, her breasts and thighs flush against his side.

Every few seconds her body lifted gently off the mattress, hovering an inch above the sheets before settling back down, spatial powers pulsing in rhythmic cycles like she was still doing the reps Calypso had put her through yesterday.

"No more..." she murmured, brow pinching. "Cal... I can’t... Mercy..."

A shimmer rippled beneath the sheets and Kaiden’s entire body slid two inches closer to hers, her thighs clamping over his, because the Space Babe’s unconscious mind had decided that arguing with dream-Calypso was far less important than hugging his body close.

Bastet had claimed his right side with feline precision, curled against his ribs, bronze skin snug against his, tail wound tight around his ankle.

Her cat ears twitched once, twice, and her fingers twitched harder, thumbs working invisible buttons with competitive intensity while her lips moved in a barely audible mumble. "Gremlin... this time you’re going down..."

She was still gaming with Luna in her dreams.

The gamer girl herself was face-down at the foot of the bed with her perky little butt still raised in the air, exactly the way Kaiden had left her after thoroughly ravaging it, purple hair splayed everywhere, snoring into the mattress with her arms limp at her sides like a puppet whose strings had been cut.

She hadn’t moved an inch.

Calypso fell off the bed after he did a number on her, and when Kaiden reached down to pull her back up she’d swatted his hand away, mumbled that the perfect place for her is beneath him, and passed out on the floor with her cheek pressed to the obsidian. Her tail still reached up over the edge to clutch his ankle because even gravity couldn’t make a demoness stop touching her Darling.

Aria was on top of him, her whole body draped across his chest with silver hair pooling over his collarbone, arms locked around his neck, face buried in his throat. She breathed slow against his skin.

Five women, bare skin, tangled limbs, warmth and softness from every angle.

Kaiden let the scene exist for a long moment and thought, not for the first time, that his life was profoundly unfair to every other man alive.

The girls had shown up at the bath about an hour after he and Aria began their ’ritual’. What followed was several hours of activities that no children should witness.

He stretched carefully, trying to reclaim blood flow to his left arm. Nyx’s powers pulsed in response, pulled him right back, and her grip tightened around his bicep like she’d mistaken him for a body pillow and was prepared to die on that hill.

He sighed through his nose and accepted his fate.

He could have stayed like that all morning, pinned and comfortable and buried under more beautiful women than any man deserved, but the sound of the door creaking open put an end to that.

Alexandra poked her head through the gap with a breakfast tray balanced in one hand and a pitcher of cold juice in the other, her face already the exact shade of Calypso’s skin. She didn’t step inside, hovering at the threshold like the doorframe was a protective barrier between her and the scene within.

"Miss Vespera asked me to deliver a message," she managed, voice pitched an octave higher than normal, eyes aimed firmly at the ceiling. "And breakfast. Alice and I made you guys breakfast."

"Come in, Alex."

"I’m fine right here!" Too fast. Her eyes slipped from the ceiling to the bed and snapped back up.

A beat passed. Then she took a breath, squared her shoulders, and muttered something under her breath that sounded a lot like "I am a professional, I am a professional, I am a grown woman and I am a professional."

She stepped inside.

Her composure lasted about two seconds, which was roughly how long it took her eyes to land on Luna.

The Storm Valkyrie was still face-down with her butt in the air, and the skin across both cheeks was a shade of pink that came entirely from what had been done to them a couple hours ago.

Purple hair everywhere. Arms limp. Snoring like nothing in the world was wrong.

Alexandra’s pep talk evaporated.

"W-what happened to her?! How does a person fall asleep like that?!"

Kaiden looked at Luna, then back at Alexandra, and shrugged with the one shoulder Aria wasn’t sleeping on. "She likes sleeping like that."

Alexandra’s eyes narrowed. She looked at Luna’s reddened backside, then at Kaiden’s innocent expression, then back at Luna, and her lips pressed into a thin line that said she knew exactly who was responsible and exactly how much she believed his explanation.

"...Right." She did not sound convinced. "Do you mind if I-?"

"Please, go ahead."

Alexandra set the tray and pitcher down on the nearest flat surface, straightened her apron, and went into dutiful maid mode with the kind of brisk efficiency that suggested she needed something to do with her hands before her face caught fire.

She started with Bastet, gently shaking her shoulder. "Bastet, breakfast is ready." Bastet’s ears twitched, her tail tightened around Kaiden’s ankle, and she mumbled something about five more minutes before curling tighter against his ribs.

Nyx required three attempts. Her spatial powers kept pulling the blanket back over her head every time Alexandra removed it, and eventually the maid just stood there with her hands on her hips, waiting for the Space Babe to run out of unconscious resistance.

Then she reached Luna.

She touched her shoulder carefully, the way someone might poke a sleeping animal they weren’t entirely sure was domesticated.

Luna’s butt wiggled. Her fists clenched into the sheets. A low growl rumbled through the mattress.

"I’ll beat you up, you motherfucker..."

Alexandra yanked her hand back. "Wha-?!"

Kaiden, still pinned beneath Aria with his dead arm trapped under Nyx, glanced over dryly. "That was for me. Remnants from last night."

Alexandra went from pink to beet red so fast she might have set a record.

She turned away, stared very hard at the wall, and delivered the message to the stonework.

"Ahem! Everyone, wake up! Lady Vespera received word from the Association this morning. The government has accepted Kaiden’s terms, and they want you to begin the tests as soon as possible."

"..."

The girls surfaced in stages.

Bastet’s ears flicked upright. Nyx blinked awake, spatial shimmer dying as her body settled onto the mattress for good. Calypso hauled herself up from the floor with a grunt, horns cresting the edge of the bed first. Luna didn’t move, but the snoring stopped.

Aria lifted her head from Kaiden’s chest, silver hair curtaining her face, and pressed her lips to his collarbone once, soft and automatic, before the words registered.

Kaiden lay still through it all. One arm dead, the other on Aria’s back, five women climbing out of unconsciousness around him. Then, quietly, a grin started at one side of his mouth.

Time to go to work.

...

Breakfast vanished in minutes, Alice’s cooking destroyed by six people who’d burned a lifetime’s worth of aggressive cardio in just a couple hours.

Getting dressed was a production.

They knew where they were going and who’d be watching. Namely, the whole world.

The women who were about to walk into a wall of cameras did not take that lightly.

Aria and Bastet took the longest, which surprised absolutely no one.

Aria cycled through three outfits before settling on something that made her look like moonlight had learned how to wear clothes, and Bastet spent fifteen minutes adjusting the drape of a single veil across her hip while her tail flicked with dissatisfaction.

Alexandra ran between all five of them like a woman putting out fires, fetching accessories, holding mirrors, lacing corsets, and answering multiple simultaneous requests with great composure.

Luna threw on the first thing she grabbed and was done in forty seconds.

Nyx took a bit longer, picking something that hugged her curves in a way that was going to cause traffic accidents.

Calypso chose an outfit that somehow made "demoness in human territory" look elegant, and when she caught Bastet eyeing it, she grinned and said nothing.

Then the six of them turned and looked at Kaiden.
