After an intense fight, Kaiden proposes a wild stream idea to his viewers while attempting to rank up. Scarlet teases Vespera about Kaiden's plans, leading to a brief, playful confrontation. Nyx invites Scarlet to join them, an offer that gains surprising acceptance from the other women, including Vespera's silent departure.

Kaiden pulled up his system window while they walked, keeping it behind his vision where the stream couldn’t pick it up.

He’d gotten more open about his powers since the Ashborn reveal, and gradually even before that as he felt more and more comfortable, but the Demonic Pornstar System was something he preferred keeping between himself and the girls.

Growth. The back catalog was still doing work while he’d been busy fighting for his life, the algorithm pushing his old videos, and the orgy footage from a few days ago still racking up replays in unbelievable numbers. But the gap between where he was and where he needed to be was measured in billions, and organic growth would close it in weeks at best, not minutes.

He had forty.

’Would’ve preferred to do this the organic way.’

He was always a big believer in slow, organic growth, that’s why he and the girls weren’t spamming porn all the time, treating it like a rare occurrence that made the fans rile up instead of the boring norm.

’Beggars can’t be choosers, though... Doing it once won’t ruin anything,’ he decided.

The Kaiju was waiting on the other side of his gate with an army and a cocky wink, and the fourth Sin Stance could be the difference between winning this duel and dying in it.

Definitely not the time to play things safe.

He dismissed the window.

The halo above his head pulsed.

Alice dropped out of Conduit form in a flash of gold and landed square in his arms, both of hers already locked around his neck before her weight had fully settled, the princess carry so perfectly timed that he knew she’d been calculating her descent trajectory for the last few seconds.

"I was very helpful, right?" she announced, her actual voice ringing off the stone. "The best Conduit in the world?"

"The very best."

"That’s right!" she beamed, pushing her chest out.

He set her down when the corridor widened past the kitchen, and Alice fell into step beside him with a grip on his arm that would’ve required surgical intervention to remove.

The kitchen was warm, and Alexandra stood at the counter with flour on her forearms and a cloth over one shoulder, halfway through assembling enough food to supply a small army. She looked up when the group filed past, and surprise crossed her face.

"You’re back already?"

"Intermission of sorts," Kaiden said. "But it’s not the time to relax."

The blonde maid’s gaze tracked from him to the five women behind him in varying states of flushed composure, then to Scarlet, who was being led by the hand by a pink-haired beauty whose smile could have sold anything to anyone.

"Indeed~" Nyx giggled, fingers laced through Scarlet’s. "This is going to be hard work."

Alexandra blinked. The surprise lasted about a second before her composure returned. Months in this household had cured her of follow-up questions.

Her friends were going to fuck. Clear as day.

"Alright, I’ll make some refreshments..." she went to work. But then Scarlet leaned over the counter. "Yo, please get me a bottle of your hardest wine, sweetheart. Please. Or any alcohol, really. I’m begging."

"Kaiden and the girls aren’t big drinkers but I did bring hard liquor with me for cooking monster meat..."

"I’ll take it!" Scarlet latched onto the offering.

Alexandra produced one from the rack behind her with a grin. "Thanks for helping keep my friends and home safe, Lady Scarlet!" she beamed.

"...Sure," Scarlet sighed, accepting the bottle. She straightened up and murmured to herself, "How did I get here... My mouth. My big, loud, stupid mouth. Wait, was this Vespera’s plan all along...? That woman... You can never know with her..."

Nyx patted her hand. "You’re going to love it~"

"I have my doubts," Scarlet sighed again.

They continued toward the bedroom wing, and the procession had barely cleared the kitchen when an eighth set of footsteps joined the formation.

Alice, no longer latched onto Kaiden, walked at the back of the group with the quiet conviction of someone on a stealth mission and the subtlety of a marching band, tucked behind Bastet’s taller frame as if the cat-eared beauty could shield her from detection.

Scarlet noticed first.

"Sweetheart... What are you doing?" She looked at Alice with the beginning of genuine alarm.

"Helping my big brother!!"

"I know girls your age have a lot of urges, but... You don’t mean to follow into the bedroom, are you?"

"I am!"

"You already said it... That’s your brother."

"Yes?"

"Like... full-blooded." She gestured between Alice and Kaiden with the bottle. "Same mother. Same father. Same blood."

"We don’t know that!!" Alice’s chin lifted, indignant. "There’s no definitive proof, because the DNA results still didn’t arrive!!! After becoming his Conduit, our bond has transcended conventional familial categorization entirely-"

"I can’t do this." Scarlet bit the cork off the wine bottle with her teeth.

"—the system itself acknowledged a spiritual connection that exists beyond bloodline limitations—"

She tilted the bottle back and drank the way soldiers drink before charging enemy lines.

"—and furthermore, from a metaphysical standpoint, the Conduit integration has fundamentally restructured—"

A shadow materialized from the floor.

Vespera assembled from the stone without sound or warning, one arm of darkness coiling around her daughter’s waist.

"M-mom, wait!!"

Vespera did not respond. Aside from the almighty pull of her unhinged daughter.

"KAI!!" Alice twisted toward her brother, both hands reaching. "KAIIII!!"

The shadow pulled unrelentingly. Alice sank through the floor one flailing inch at a time, her fingers grasping at air, her thesis abandoned in favor of survival.

"Noooo"

Gone.

Scarlet lowered the bottle. A third of it was missing already. She looked at the spot where Alice had vanished, then at Kaiden, then at the five women. Not one of them looked even slightly surprised.

"These Ashborns," she said, "are the weirdest fucking family I’ve ever encountered in my life."
