Demonic Po*nstar System Chapter 797: Probing Wave
Previously on Demonic Po*nstar System...
"Dual-wielding now, Kai?! I’m eager to witness the replay!"
Luna’s Stormblade etched a diagonal scar across a strider as she teleported past. Before the monstrosity even collapsed, she had already vanished again, lightning crackling two ranks deeper into the enemy swarm.
Calypso’s landing was perfectly timed, her bare feet springing on the balls as she moved, much like a cheerleader spotting her beloved in the stands. A happy curl of her demonic tail whipped behind her voluptuous form.
"Darling~❤️ You’re making it rather challenging to concentrate over here!"
Her crimson eyes blazed with pure adoration, her lips forming a perfect pout.
Then, her expression transformed into the terrifying Manifestation of Carnage.
"While I may not possess two axes like my magnificent husband, I still..."
The cheerful demeanor vanished in a blink. The entity that resurfaced within the same skin was the formidable demoness who had once commanded a Low Tier dungeon at Level 100, only to willingly submit to him.
She descended upon the nearest strider, her entire weight channeled into the haft of her weapon. The axe cleaved through the strider from collarbone to pelvis in a single, gruesome motion, bisecting the creature at her feet.
The Carnage Feast buff surged, blood splattering her arms and ribs. A delighted laugh escaped her lips, the sound of someone who had eagerly awaited this very moment.
She plunged past Kaiden into the densest cluster of monsters, her axe already raised for the next strike.
High above, Aria’s crescent blades painted a precise line along the horde’s flank. Her voice, laced with concern, carried down as she watched her man and her speedy imp companion engage the front lines.
"Kai, please be careful and avoid unnecessary risks! Leave those to Cali! Luna, absolutely no biting!"
"Hah?! I’m not some canine!" came a furious shriek from the heart of the enemy ranks.
Alice’s halo flared above his head. Telepathic communication arrived, stark and direct.
<Big brother, my affection for you is boundless, yet your off-hand technique is truly lamentable.>
<My thanks...> Kaiden offered a dry chuckle.
<Honesty is merely a manifestation of love!>
His right blade obliterated a strider’s chest on the subsequent exchange. His left, handled with more finesse this time, swept beneath a flier’s wing joint, splitting the creature from sternum to spine with an upward arc.
He, too, acknowledged his lack of expertise in dual-wielding. However, such skill was rendered irrelevant when confronting a direct assault from a charging horde of monstrous beings. His formidable stats and the power of his gauntlet compensated for his technical shortcomings.
His strength was sufficient to drive a wide arc through bone forged in the mountains. His agility allowed him to recover swiftly from his blade’s momentum and bring it around for the next target, amplifying the devastating force behind each strike.
Moreover, the blades themselves were no mere trinkets. The Blood Monarch’s Gauntlet was a Legendary-tier artifact, the cornerstone of an exceptional set.
The colossal swords it conjured from his spoils sliced through flesh and hide as superior-grade edges were meant to. Mountain-born hide yielded. Dense muscle parted. Armaments that should have easily halted a conventional greatsword proved ineffective against these.
Wrath fueled every impact, and each collision resulted in an explosion.

Surpassing three thousand.
A smile began to form at the corner of his lips, though it faded quickly as the grim reality of his calculations tempered his satisfaction.
He performed these calculations as he advanced into another cluster of striders, his blade initiating the opening strike.
The Kaiju had consumed twenty dungeons.
He lacked knowledge of the maximum number of monsters constituting a dungeon’s consumed mass, as access to the Claimant’s roster was restricted.
However, Calypso, who had once governed a Low Tier dungeon at Level 100, had fielded approximately a hundred Salamawyrm-grade monsters and Nightclaw swarms in combat, not to mention her unused reserves.
Twenty dungeons, even if half were mere disposable templates like the probe wave currently disintegrating before him, represented a formidable force numbering in the thousands. The more potent members of this contingent had yet to be deployed. He had not personally witnessed any of the true heavyweights, and he was already steeling himself for the inevitable moment one would emerge from the gate, possibly shrugging off a casual blow.
Thousands of powerful monsters, templates meticulously compiled by the Claimant from twenty diverse ecosystems, redesigned for invasion.
Against this overwhelming force, his current strategy involved: the defensive line he had established, the Verdant fallback point secured by Taigi, the magma channel actively managed by his Salamawyrms, and whatever forces he could summon while the intense battle raged on.
An entire army would be required.
The only way to amass such a force within the given timeframe was through the Dungeon Master Points (DMP) he was accumulating.
Each defeated foe was a building block. The points earned from the girls' kills were equally vital. Aria's aerial assaults, Luna's devastating detonations, Bastet's serpent constrictions, Nyx's compressed clusters, Alice's golden beams slicing through the sky, Calypso's axe cleaving through the densest enemy formations – every single one of these contributed to his tally. This counter was his sole defense against an empty dungeon when the true threats finally breached the gate.
This initial probe wave was a welcome opportunity.
The Claimant had compensated him with DMP for the chance to test his capabilities.
Kaiden seized this advantage wholeheartedly.
His blade swept out once more, cleaving a strider precisely in two. As the creature's body separated, its Wrath-charged blood exploded outward, spearing into the two subsequent Striders in the same lane. This anchored them for the crucial half-second needed for his follow-up strike.
Three enemies felled with a single swing.

The counter updated.

His next swing met only empty air where a strider should have been. In the same instant, he sensed another presence registering at the threshold.
The gate flickered.
It was the agitated shimmer that a doorway emits when something on the other side is forcefully attempting to pass.
The barrier separating the outside world from the Abyssal Cavern warped along its edges, mirroring the heat haze above a desert road. Then, it did something unprecedented during the entire probe wave.
It strained.
The threshold buckled inward by a finger's width, holding firm against immense pressure. The abyssal stone encircling the frame groaned under the strain. Whatever was endeavoring to cross was larger than the gate's intended capacity, yet it was determined to force its way through.
Across the cavern, the onslaught faltered.
Luna's crimson charge slowed, a first since the initial assault. Calypso's boisterous laugh ceased mid-utterance. The rest of the combatants froze with them.
The shift had been palpable to all.
Kaiden’s grin widened slightly as he observed the gate under duress.
“It’s starting now, isn’t it?”
