Demonic Po*nstar System Chapter 791: Rapidly Growing Numbers
Previously on Demonic Po*nstar System...
Kaiden let out a breath.
’System.’
The interface shimmered at the edge of his consciousness.
’Could you not have given me a heads-up about this?’
[Every Dungeon Master confrontation unfolds uniquely. No two dimensional seals are identical.]
Kaiden absorbed the words for a moment.
’...Fantastic.’
Around him, his companions were slowly regaining their senses. Aria’s usually calm eyes were wide with shock, fixed on the imposing gate. Nyx turned in a slow circle, her gaze sweeping across the unnatural sky.
Her voice was barely a whisper, directed mostly at herself.
"This is just fucked up."
Calypso, true to form, was much louder as the tension finally broke.
"Did you all see that?!"
The demoness’s axe lightly struck the stone floor, a percussive beat to her excited words.
"He literally ripped the ground from beneath your mother’s feet! And took those massive chunks with him!"
"Muscle-brained demon," Bastet interjected from nearby, her ears twitching dismissively. "Cease celebrating the enemy’s overwhelming power."
"...Mmn. Fair point. But I can’t help it!"
Alice’s halo reappeared above Kaiden’s head, its golden radiance returning to a steady rhythm. His dual vision simultaneously overlaid the cathedral’s interior view.
<Big brother, quit listening to the ladies and move! We can’t linger at the entrance.>
"..."
As he took his first step, four Skyfiends descended from the cavern’s hazy ceiling. Their broad wings beat the air, carrying them down as their hooves clattered on the stone platform, forming a neat formation before kneeling and tucking their wings.
The women mounted without needing instructions. Aria took her usual spot behind him, already settled on his mount. Luna, never one to be left behind, effortlessly leaped onto her own steed. Nyx clung tightly to Luna’s back, grumbling as two substantial weights landed on her shoulders. Bastet perched herself on Calypso’s saddle at the demoness's insistent shout.
Vespera and Scarlet moved off in their own direction. The two Monarchs had detached, proceeding along the cavern wall towards the initial defensive bottleneck. This strategic point, located deeper within, was where the dungeon’s first line of monsters was positioned to hold the line. From this vantage point, the gate remained clearly visible across the cavern’s expanse.
The Skyfiends took to the air.
...
The livestream was going absolutely wild.
The feed displayed in the lower periphery of his vision, muted to a discreet ticker, reported its status without demanding attention.
The viewer count at the top was displaying unbelievable numbers.
Every other camera feed at the location was now focused on the sealed gate, with no other activity surrounding it. A few awakened individuals were peeking from behind the small barrier, searching for the mountain-sized enemy.
It was nowhere to be seen.
The streamers who had been broadcasting the defense from the perimeter, the news crews who had established their equipment along the treeline, the commentators who had been providing live narration of the impending events in countless languages – all of them were now trapped on the wrong side of the seal, gazing at the same inactive threshold as the rest of the world. Only Kaiden’s feed remained operational from within. The global audience was rapidly shifting to his stream with every refresh.

The chat had completely broken. The scrolling text had dissolved into a colorful, indistinguishable blur, which the interface had long since abandoned attempting to render at a readable speed. Every tenth line was in all caps. Every fifth line featured a donation notification with significant figures. Every other line consisted of the same emote repeating endlessly.
Only the moderator messages remained consistently visible.
— PrincelessPrincess (mod): What the fuck was that?
— PrincelessPrincess (mod): No seriously. What the fuck. Was that?!
— Kaiden’s Wife (mod): Kaiden please be okay please please please!!!
— Kaiden’s Wife (mod): You must come back!! Don’t leave your loyal internet wife an internet widow!
— Lady Leia (mod): Guys! If he survives this, do you realize what’s about to happen to the world?
— Lady Leia (mod): Look at those numbers.
— Lady Leia (mod): God damn.

Kaiden couldn’t spare the time to check the numbers as his Skyfiend soared through the air.
In unison with them, Vespera and Scarlet had reached the chokehold.
The two Monarchs positioned themselves alongside the dungeon’s initial monster contingent, where the cavern’s topography narrowed into the deeper dungeon sections, and the defensive preparations had been made prior to the sealing. Vespera’s shadows began to unfurl across the bottleneck, creating a dark, intricate web woven into the natural narrowing of the terrain. This defensive structure mirrored the pattern she had employed at the treeline outside, designed to tear apart anything that dared to cross it.
Beside her, Scarlet raised her palms once.
The Flame Monarch’s heat coalesced into twin banked rings around her wrists, forged into a pair of red-gold lances, and took up overwatch positions across the Cavern’s wide expanse, directly in front of the gate. Two sentries, held in reserve, were poised to strike at whoever dared to enter through it.
The two Monarchs observed the gate from their chokehold, silent and unmoving.
In the white expanse beyond the sealed threshold, the Kaiju’s immense mass had made its landing.
[Dungeon Master Battle: Begin.]
Kaiden registered the notification.
His will directed itself to the Master’s Domain tab even before the second line of text finished rendering. Two brief, extravagant expenditures from his pool were immediately answered.
Hours prior, within the grand cathedral where he and his women had gathered around the floating catalog, two paired configurations situated three levels deep within the Master’s Domain hierarchy had silenced them all. The second configuration was locked, requiring the first to be activated before it could be accessed.
"How much will it cost?" Luna had inquired.
The number stung twice.
"A substantial amount. However, I do appreciate their aesthetic, let us acquire them."
The others concurred in unison.
He had purchased them.
Now, with the duel’s notification still shimmering above the sealed gate, the ability responded.
[Sin Fusion: Active.]
[For the duration of a Dungeon Master Duel, compatible champions under the Abyssal Master receive a fusion of Sin. The specific expression is determined at the moment of activation. Incompatible champions will receive no benefit.]
The description vanished.
Aria was the first to illuminate.
A soft, silvery light bloomed beneath her skin, concentrating intensely at her fingertips and her irises, leaving the rest of her untouched. A solitary violet thread traced its way through a lock of silver at her temple, and an identical violet hue edged the silver of her eyes. A corresponding line of faint script materialized in Kaiden’s peripheral vision the instant the glow subsided.
[Aria Levander. Moon and Pride.]
[Lunar Sovereignty.]
