Demonic Po*nstar System Chapter 1072: Girls’ Chatter

The carriage was crossing the chasm when Kaiden thought of inviting his mother to supper.
Beyond the window, one of his new batteries turned above a distant ledge. He had been enjoying the view with Aria against his shoulder and Yunohana’s hand in his when he remembered Vespera waiting for him to ask for a little more tea.
"I’m going to invite Mom to dinner."
The shrine maiden turned toward him, visibly pleased.
"I would be delighted. I did promise to return her hospitality."
"She’ll probably have meetings," Alexandra said. "Although... perhaps she could have breakfast with us?"
Luna looked away from the mountains.
"Breakfast?"
"It’s morning there."
"...This clusterfuck is messing with my head."
"I’m always happy to have Shadow Mommy with us~" Nyx smiled, then considered the invitation. "Though we should think about where we eat. Someone could recognize her in Japan."
Bastet sat forward across from them.
"That’s right. She’s in America this morning, then someone spots her in Japan... They’ll start asking questions."
"No reason to reveal our cards," Calypso nodded.
Kaiden looked toward the mountains passing beyond the glass. He had been imagining his mother at their table, enjoying a meal with them. Bringing her through a harbor full of people gave that pleasant idea a rather expensive consequence.
"Then we’ll eat at the palace."
"The yacht has a kitchen," Yunohana offered. "We could collect our meal and bring it back here. I’m certain the chef can prepare enough for everyone."
"I’ll help," Alexandra said. "We have everything we need to set the table at home."
Kaiden squeezed Yunohana’s hand, pleased with the arrangement.
"Perfect. I’ll go get Mom while you do that."
With no cellular reception inside the dungeon, Kaiden would have to pass through a gate to contact his mother anyway.
At the Japanese end of the line, Yunohana and the girls left the carriage to cross the conquered cavern toward the island gate. Kaiden watched them go before setting the carriage’s destination back to the palace.
From there, he took the older route through the Twilight Sink, the Corridor, and the Abyssal Cavern to the American entrance. The guards beneath headquarters greeted him as he emerged, and he made his way upstairs to his mother’s office.
Vespera looked up from her desk.
"Did you forget something?"
"You."
Her pen stopped above the page.
"Would you come eat with us?"
"Now?"
"Yeah."
"You saw me earlier."
"And?"
His mother regarded him for a moment, then set down her pen.
"I can move the first appointment."
Kaiden grinned as she reached for her phone to make the arrangements.
...
On the island, Yunohana led the women down to the waiting yacht. After checking with the protectors overseeing the captured gunmen, she went aboard to speak to the captain about supper.
The chef began preparing the meal while the crew found insulated containers to carry it. Alexandra went below to check the portions with him, while Yunohana joined the five lovers and Alice around the table on the upper deck.
Nyx waited until their hostess had taken her seat.
"Well? Did you enjoy having Kai to yourself?"
"Very much." Yunohana rested her folded fan beside her cup. "He was wonderful company."
"Even before you bought each other a dungeon?" Luna asked.
"He was quite charming before that, yes."
"What did you do before finding the island?" Aria asked, leaning closer.
Yunohana glanced toward the water beyond the rail. Remembering how readily Kaiden had accepted her invitations made her smile.
"We had lunch here. Then I took him out in the tender. He was very enthusiastic about the speed."
"Oh, I bet he was," Calypso laughed.
"He also proved very useful when I wished to go ashore without ruining my shoes."
Luna grinned across the table.
"You made him carry you?"
"He offered. I thought it would be terribly ungracious to refuse."
"You can just jump to the shore..." Alice muttered. But then she added, "But I get it."
"Yes," Aria nodded along sagely.
Any sane woman understood the appeal of being princess carried by Kaiden, even if it wasn’t strictly required.
Alexandra appeared at the deck doorway to ask Alice for help with the containers. Kaiden’s sister went below with her, leaving Yunohana with his five lovers.
With the women settled around her and Kaiden safely elsewhere, Yunohana found she rather enjoyed being asked about her afternoon.
"He was still carrying you when we arrived," Nyx pointed out.
"Yes. He appeared quite comfortable with the arrangement."
"And did he kiss you?" Aria asked.
Yunohana lifted her cup with a composure that took a little more work this time.
"He did."
"Was that after you called his mother Mother?" Luna asked.
"I would prefer we concentrated on the pleasant parts."
"That’s a yes, then."
The shrine maiden took a sip while Nyx’s laughter made defending herself increasingly unnecessary. She had kissed him in front of Vespera and wanted to keep kissing him. There was very little dignity to recover from the details.
"You look happy," Bastet said warmly.
Yunohana lowered her cup.
"I am. Today has been a dream come true..." Smiling softly, the Japanese beauty looked over the women. "Thank you for granting this foolish woman’s request."
Aria’s smile softened in return, and for a moment Yunohana was content to let them see how much the day had meant to her.
Then Luna leaned forward.
"So you didn’t go down on him?"
Yunohana’s cup stopped halfway to its saucer.
"Excuse me?"
"You had him to yourself all day. For a milf, you’re far too timid. Gotta use those mature charms of yours."
Nyx covered her mouth, her shoulders shaking while Yunohana carefully finished setting down the cup.
"I assure you, he seemed quite pleased with me."
"He could’ve been even more pleased." Seeing the shrine maiden’s narrowed gaze, the Storm Valkyrie clarified, "I’m giving you friendly advice."
"So I gathered."
Yunohana smoothed her skirt over her knees, recovering enough to meet Luna’s gaze with a composed smile.
"I am rather enjoying being courted, Miss Luna. I would like a little time to appreciate it."
"I’d say you’re doing very well," Aria announced.
"Master also enjoys being admired," Bastet observed, her ears tipping forward with amusement. "She was very attentive while he bought his monsters."
"Of course she was. The bastard bought a whole fucking army. I’d have been flabbergasted even if I wasn’t already sleeping with him."
Yunohana exhaled at that before she could hide it, and Luna pointed at her.
"See? You agree with me."
"About the army, not about ending the first date in the sheets."
"A virgin milf," Luna shook her head disappointedly. "What a world we live in."
Nyx lost the last of her composure. As she folded against Aria, laughing, Yunohana picked up her cup again and allowed herself another peaceful sip.
"I have no regrets. I like to think today was my reward for waiting."
"Ugh." Luna stopped shaking her head, realizing the truth in those words.
A knock at the upper-deck door brought their attention around. One of the crew had come to tell them the first containers were packed, and Yunohana rose to thank him before accompanying the women below.
...
On their walk back through the Abyssal Cavern, Vespera stopped to examine the reinforced monster line.
