Demonic Po*nstar System Chapter 1038: Miss Milf

Darkness pinned his broken arms to the desk. Vespera passed the ruined office without looking inside.
At the end of the aisle, the vampire tore open every bag in the refrigerated case. The stolen blood gathered into a lance between his hands.
"Die already!"
He drove it at Vespera. Her shadow coils caught the shaft and bent it sideways, gouging the wall above the protected beds before crushing the weapon and drenching him in stolen blood.
"What the fuck are you...?"
The vampire tried to leap past her. One coil trapped his ankle while another snapped his knee inward, dropping him into his own blood.
"FUCK! MY LEG!"
Vespera’s shadows twisted his arms behind his back and pinned him facedown between the beds.
Behind Vespera, the armored woman forced herself off the wrecked trolley with her remaining arm. She launched herself at Vespera’s back, mouth open and fangs reaching for the exposed side of her neck.
A tendril snapped around the vampire’s throat.
Her bite closed on nothing. The shadow hoisted her into the air and swung her around Vespera’s side, leaving her boots kicking above the pinned male vampire while her hiss sprayed spittle across Vespera’s shoulder.
"HSSSSSS!"
Vespera looked up at her.
"Still hungry? And they dare label my child a glutton..."
Two thinner shadows crawled across the vampire’s face. "M-mercy..."
One shadow banded over her brow and pulled her skull backward against the tendril around her throat. The other hooked beneath her lower fangs, forced her mouth open, and pulled.
Both hinges tore loose with wet pops. The corners of her mouth split toward her cheeks before her lower jaw ripped free in a tangle of flesh, spilling blood down her neck and over the front of her armor.
Her hiss collapsed into a bubbling scream. Her tongue flopped against the ruin beneath her upper teeth while she kicked hard enough to shake her entire body in the tendril’s grip.
Vespera watched her choke with cold, sadistic pleasure.
Another shadow curled around the vampire’s exposed tongue and tore it out by the root.
Blood sprayed the broken lamps. It pattered across the aisle and ran down the vampire’s chest while her scream dissolved into a hideous gurgle.
The tendril holding her severed mandible turned it in the air. Then it drove her own fangs through the roof of her mouth and buried them in her brain.
Her body convulsed once before sagging.
Vespera dropped the corpse in front of the surviving vampire. The torn tongue landed across his broken leg, and he began fighting the shadows around his arms hard enough to strip the skin from his wrists.
She looked down at him, her fury undiminished.
Across the ward, the worker who had been packing blood backed into a cabinet with his hands raised.
"I’m not armed! I’m not-"
Vespera caught the worker with a shadow cable and secured him beside the office. She sent Rook the address and called her.
"My lady?"
"I need medical teams and restraints for awakened."
She put the phone away and withdrew the shadow roofs. At the first bed, she cut the woman’s straps with a blade of shadow.
When Rook’s people arrived, the freed woman was still too weak to sit up. A medic hurried to her bedside while Irena approached the surviving vampire with restraints.
"Please..."
Irena looked toward Vespera.
"I want to know everything," Vespera said.
...
By the time Kaiden Grey returned to the Moon-Thread estate in Tokyo, he wanted to sit down badly enough that the walk to his room felt insulting.
Luna had her arm through his. Aria walked on his other side, still holding the cloth she’d used to clean his face, while Alexandra went ahead to open the door.
"I’m going to ruin another chair," he murmured, looking down at his bloodied clothes.
"Who cares?" Luna said. "Fuck the chair. I’ll buy the plump JP milf a new one."
"Speak with more respect of our hostess..." He smiled at her and reached for the doorframe.
His hand missed.
For a moment, the wood seemed farther away than it should have been. Kaiden blinked, trying to bring it back into focus, and felt Luna’s arm tighten around his waist.
"Kai?"
"I’m fine. Just..."
His knees gave enough for Aria to catch his other side.
"Lexi!"
Alexandra turned from the low table. Golden light filled her hands. Nyx pulled a chair behind Kaiden with spatial force while the others helped him sit.
"Big Brother?" Alice’s voice chimed above him. Her halo dipped into his view. "Your half transformation taxed your system greatly... We told you last time that you can’t do this! You’re risking your life; your body isn’t ready for the strain!"
"Give me a second."
Kaiden pressed his palms against his thighs. His fingers were trembling.
He stared at them, annoyed at first, then frightened when he couldn’t make them stop. He’d walked out of the garden. He’d talked to his mother. Now his own hands felt difficult to operate.
Luna crouched in front of him.
"Where does it hurt?"
"I don’t know. Everywhere a little."
"That’s a shit answer, Kai."
Her voice shook around his name. He looked up and saw how hard she was trying to keep him looking at her.
"It’s okay," he said. "I’m not going anywhere."
"Then stop doing that with your eyes."
He hadn’t realized he’d closed them.
Alexandra laid her hands against his ribs, moving her restoration light over the injuries she’d treated in the garden. Kaiden breathed through the warmth while Aria wiped fresh sweat from his forehead.
"Is that helping?" Alexandra asked.
"Already feeling better."
The answer failed to reassure her. She glanced at his shaking fingers, then back at his face.
"The wounds have closed. I don’t know how to heal... this."
"It feels like I spent hours trying to push out of my own body," he admitted. "I stopped changing, but... everything’s still hurting from it."
Aria’s cloth stopped against his forehead.
"You could have told us."
"It wasn’t this bad until I got here."
He hated how frightened they looked. They had only just stopped worrying that someone would take him, and now he was scaring them by failing to sit in a chair properly.
Nyx knelt beside Luna, setting a glass on the table within his reach.
"Could you leave the thinking to us for a little while, Kai? You look very busy trying to stay upright."
"It’s harder than it looks."
"We noticed."
He managed a small smile. Luna kept both hands around his until the next tremor passed.
At the open doorway, Sonoda stepped aside for Yunohana.
The High Shrine Maiden had changed into a pale robe, her damp black hair hanging loose around her shoulders. Sonoda followed her inside with a basin and clean cloths, setting them beside Aria.
Yunohana took in Alexandra’s glowing hands and Kaiden sitting between his girls with his ruined kimono stuck to his skin.
"Lord Grey?"
"Your chair survived."
Yunohana looked at the armrest beneath his bloodied sleeve.
"How disappointing. This plump JP milf was hoping to replace it. I heard it’d be free of charge, too."
"Oh. You heard me..." Luna gave a startled little laugh, then rubbed her face against Kaiden’s hand. The Storm Gremlin didn’t seem to be very apologetic.
"He’s being a fucking idiot about how bad he feels. Help put some sense into him, miss milf. He seems to respect your opinion. I think it’s because of your mature motherly vibes. Reminds him of home."
"..." Yunohana came to his side. "May I?"
