Demi-human Girls Completion Manual Chapter 1819 - 168: Outshining the Beauties (Part 2)

To Moli, Elizabeth was nothing less than a nightmare.
She was the very first shadow of this world the ignorant, childish Moli encountered when she first came ashore, a terror that surpassed even that moment on the South Continent when she was besieged by Barbatos and Agares and driven into absolute despair.
But it wasn’t just fear—there was anger, there was resentment, all tangled together now, leaving Moli far from calm.
"Oww..."
"It hurts..."
She healed the wounded one by one; her face had gone a little pale, but when she looked ahead at Valentina still carving a path open, and the corpses still climbing up all around them, she forced herself steady again, no longer the helpless girl from five years ago,
"Isa, you break out with everyone. Leave the rest to us."
"...All right."
Isabella nodded, raised her dagger, and darted forward with agile steps. On the other side, Elizabeth’s calm, Death God–like voice of command rang out once more,
"Loose."
"Stand down!!"
Valentina, who was clearing the way in front, also noticed the army positioned on their flank, and saw the blond woman standing before the line of cannons and Magic Knights.
Her long hair was bound at the back of her head, tied into a severe knot that perfectly matched the deathly cold expression on her face, as if her gaze alone could freeze a person to death.
This time there was no phantom of Pandora at her side—perhaps this was a chance!
Valentina’s figure in midair faltered for an instant, then abruptly turned to face Elizabeth. The Moon Princess Sword in her hand spun and whirled, releasing a sharp sonic boom as she dove down like a raptor, a cutting gale screaming around her as she charged Elizabeth.
"Protect Your Majesty!"
"Protect Your Majesty!"
The guards all around surged forward, trying to form a ring around Elizabeth, but her hollow Gold eyes flickered as she realized that Valentina’s Rank far exceeded that of the soldiers beside her. If they collided, even if they managed to block the attack, the casualties would be horrific.
She made her decision in an instant. Gedelin’s Sword flashed abruptly into her hand, and just as the front guard was about to close around her, she lashed out with a kick that toppled several soldiers in front of her, forcing them to sprawl face-down on the ground, their Magic Armor clacking noisily,
"Oww!"
"Your Majesty?!"
"Out of the way, you’re in my way!"
Elizabeth leapt with sword raised, not retreating but instead hurling herself straight toward the diving Valentina, making Valentina pause for a heartbeat.
Has Elizabeth gone mad?
Even if her Rank was far above that of ordinary Humans, already around the Tenth Rank, before Valentina’s Fourteenth Rank she was still utterly outmatched.
And since that was the case...
Countless rays of Moonlight erupted around Valentina, sharpening into slashing blades as they hurtled toward Elizabeth.
"Swish, swish, swish..."
Elizabeth pushed off from the ground, expressionless as she left the earth, her body spinning to slip past one blade after another, as graceful as the finest ballerina in the world—yet because she lingered in midair she was completely within Valentina’s attack range.
"Catch the king to catch the thieves!"
Wreathed in cold wind, Valentina thrust out her hand toward Elizabeth, intending to seize her. But in the eyes of this High Rank fighter, she suddenly saw Gold flames bursting from Elizabeth’s body—or more precisely, blazing out from Gedelin’s Sword in her hand.
She’s glowing?
No... no, that’s wrong—it’s the ground!
In that split second, Valentina’s wings, which had been beating up and down, snapped upright, serving as a physical brake to change her forward momentum. The very next instant, a pillar of Gold Flames erupted from the ground below, roaring up toward the heavens, and she stopped just short of that inferno.
What in the Sky are these Flames, to burn with such terrifying power?
Good thing—one step farther and she would have turned into roast Phoenix...
But before she could catch her breath, that wall of Fire was suddenly torn apart, revealing Elizabeth behind it, her face lit blood-bright by the Flames. Her Gold eyes shone; like a Demon she raised the sword in her hand and brought it cleaving down toward Valentina’s head.
Valentina hastily lifted the Moon Princess Sword to block. The moment the two blades met, an ear-splitting metallic roar rang out, the kind of impact that seemed capable of shattering the entire Saint Nali. Valentina was blown bodily backward by the force and slammed hard into the ground.
"Rumble!"
She had barely landed before beating her wings to steady herself. Her grip trembled at the hilt of the Moon Princess Sword; as she raised it, she saw a web-like crack spreading relentlessly along the curved blade.
No way—the Moon Princess Sword isn’t even strong enough?
What in the world is that sword...
But when she lifted her head again, Elizabeth’s Human figure—impassive, immovable as a mountain—was already raising her blade for another downward chop toward Valentina’s skull. One glance up showed Elizabeth wrapped in that same terrifying shroud of Gold Flames. They meant nothing to her, as if they didn’t exist, but to Valentina they were pure horror.
It was both armor and weapon; the scorching heat made it impossible for Valentina to draw near, and every avenue of retreat had already been swallowed by that Gold Fire...
"Clang!"
Elizabeth’s sword came crashing down. Valentina had no choice but to block again with the Moon Princess Sword. Another violent detonation rang out, but Elizabeth didn’t even blink before hacking down with a third brutal strike.
"Clang!"
The other Human soldiers behind them all clapped their hands over their ears, while Valentina kept her eyes locked desperately on Elizabeth before her.
