Master Tao battles a usurper avatar resembling herself, which projects subconscious fears and emotions. She uses her "past" authority to reverse time and capture the avatar, blaming it for her mother's death and the fall of the World Tree. The usurper reveals it exploits Master Tao's emotional vulnerabilities, mimicking her loved ones' voices to weaken her will. As Master Tao retaliates, the avatar uses horrifying illusions of her deceased relatives and their severed limbs to try and consume her.

The Avatar of Transformation was momentarily stunned, but immediately afterward, a mouthful of blood sprouted cherry blossoms like soil, growing one into two, two into three, until they formed an endless stream of cherry blossoms.

The cherry blossoms suddenly drilled into the Transformation’s body, causing it to twist and struggle, constantly changing towards the "past."

The arms that just grew out all forcibly bent back, yet its body continued to move forward, moving forward while retreating, the movements from future and past pulling Transformation painfully, its whole body emitting loud cracking sounds.

However, just as its gaze lifted slightly, the child-like Master Tao, full of ferocity, arrived with a gust of wind, slamming a bloodied fist onto its body, directly penetrating the entire body and bursting out countless blood plasma.

"Die!!"

"Boom!!"

...

...

Compared to the life-and-death struggle on Master Tao’s side, Ashley’s scene seemed exceptionally calm, mainly because the Avatar before her was... just too lax.

Ashley initially thought it was rushing towards the Sky like Transformation to assassinate Dalasgon, and came to intercept, but unexpectedly this guy, once out of He Weng’s sight, seemed like a slacking employee, running slowly with incorrect direction, like seeking a good place to fish.

"..."

What’s wrong with this [Chaos Oriented]? Not fighting anymore?

The ball of golden thread in front flew erratically while Ashley followed from behind, constantly using fate’s power to bombard it, but it barely dodged, even as the threads on its body got singed it didn’t retaliate, maybe waiting off for clock out time.

The frantic chase was met with countless bubbles from the Gap, causing both sides to pant heavily.

Ashley gritted her teeth, glancing at the franticly fleeing golden thread ball ahead, then looking down at Fisher who was battling Pandora’s Illusion and He Weng, even considering turning back to help Fisher.

His pressure was the greatest, facing a two-on-one battle, but he’s the only one capable of wielding Dalasgon’s Authority, and with Asuka’s Magic, surprisingly managed to keep He Weng and Pandora’s Illusion from fighting back. Plus, if she turned back, and the Chaos Oriented in front directly goes for Dalasgon, that would be a disaster...

"Damn..."

Ashley could only keep chasing the Chaos Oriented in front, but couldn’t help cursing in frustration,

"The Avatars of other Divines are already done for, and you’re still running, how long are you going to run?"

Under Ashley’s provocation, the Chaos Oriented front became furious... got irate for a moment, only to shiver and then dashed away even faster.

The running direction was completely erratic, further staying away from Dalasgon, seems still not time for clocking out.

"You mother!"

Ashley was so angry that her face turned pale, feeling like she was the one provoked, only able to keep pursuing it.

Meanwhile, within Saint Nali, under Elizabeth’s strategy to relocate the battlefield, the street battles between Saint Nali Army and Wutong Tree plunged into a tug-of-war of maneuvering, but overall, the pressure was not too severe on Valentina’s side.

Firstly, receiving Elizabeth’s command to avoid fighting in residential areas to prevent harming Nali people, Valentina and her group made sure not to engage deeply, hitting and leaving without going full out.

Secondly, the flagship Cardinal of the Holy Land researched by Alagina was indeed too strong, not only with overwhelming firepower but also able to command the skies. Although Valentina at High Rank might find it challenging, but dealing with human armies was incredibly simple, even able to suppress an army with a single Cardinal, alleviating much pressure.

Valentina led hundreds swiftly moving along the open streets, constantly alert for potential attacks, but due to the presence of Cardinal above the skies, Nali’s forces maintained some distance from them.

At this moment, they had completely exited the residential area, entering the church district, a few miles ahead to the outskirts of the Golden Palace.

"Everyone, count personnel while moving, if I’m not mistaken, Nali people surely want to fight us to the death around the Golden Palace outskirts."

"Yes!"

"Alagina, how’s the Cardinal’s energy, is it sufficient?"

Alagina checked the instruments in hand, gaze flickering as she replied,

"In rotation, the lowest is only forty percent, the highest is seventy."

There was nothing to be done, the flagship Cardinal requires a massive amount of energy, the earlier suppression of the Nali Army wasn’t using ammunition but the Cardinal’s particle weapons, according to David, his parents modified them, though reducing energy consumption, it’s still greater than typical operational demands.

"...Should be enough, since they stopped pursuing us, seems we’ve scared them."

Alagina glanced at the silent streets around, her gaze slightly sinking with an inexplicable sense of foreboding,

"We discovered these particle beam weapons with Black Chief during Storm Sea, Nali should also have them, but I haven’t seen any, that is very odd."

"Is that odd?"

"It’s normal, the flagship can equip these level of particle beam weapons due to structures newly designed by Angels, but if Nali had similar technology, they would definitely use them, and they need a larger carrier to equip such weapons."
