Elizabeth confesses the torment she suffered from her family and Dexter due to her relationship with Fisher. She reveals that her father and brother blamed her, and Dexter mocked her. After Fisher expresses his remorse, Elizabeth calmly states that her father, his concubine, and Dexter are dead, and she is now the Empress of Nali, ready to be with Fisher.

Fisher had a dream.

He dreamt that many years ago, within a few years after he and Elizabeth parted ways, and before she led the army to battle Schwali, he finally overcame his hesitation and delivered the letter he had been holding back to the Golden Palace.

He dreamt of Elizabeth arriving at his rented room in a golden carriage from the Golden Palace, throwing herself into his arms with joy, as if the years of estrangement could be dissolved by a simple letter.

He dreamt of her bringing him back to the Golden Palace to face her father and brothers, and after many years, the young man in the ivory tower could finally stand on his own and prove to Gedelin that he was the one suited for Elizabeth.

At that time, Elizabeth, standing beside him, would gaze at Fisher with sparkling eyes, and then, in times of uncertainty, use her determination to change their minds.

He dreamt that they naturally got married, with Gedelin’s consent, under the watchful eyes of the Nali people, the elder princess and the disciple of the Great Mage became an enviable pair.

He dreamt of Elizabeth wearing a very beautiful wedding dress, witnessed by the loving gaze of the Mother Goddess, as she bowed her head and Fisher lifted the snow-white veil behind her, he saw her elaborately crafted makeup, the slightly curling pink lips, and behind her radiant and emotive eyes was Fisher’s reflection.

Beside them, the Archbishop of Saint Nali was honored to witness the ceremony, holding the Creation Scripture, solemnly asking the new couple,

"Elizabeth Gedling, do you willingly become the lawful wife of the man before you, to accompany, love, and respect him through poverty, riches, health, or sickness, until death separates you?"

"I do."

He dreamt that Elizabeth would say this without hesitation, tightly holding his hand.

And the Archbishop nodded, then turned to the other newlywed,

"Fisher Benavides, do you willingly become the lawful husband of the woman before you, to stand by her side through good times and bad, wealth and poverty, health and sickness, youth and old age, facing storms and hardships together, sharing life’s joys and sorrows, becoming lifelong partners?"

"I do."

He dreamt he also answered without hesitation, speaking a promise as sweet as honey.

He dreamt that they underwent a lengthy ceremony, busy throughout the day with a grand nationwide broadcast, until at night, the bustling atmosphere gradually faded, leaving them a tranquil moment alone.

He dreamt of Elizabeth drinking a lot of wine, weakly leaning against him, sharing the emotions she hadn’t had the chance to express over the years.

And when it was just the two of them, he dreamt of Elizabeth gently reaching out her hand, cradling his cheeks, her eyes full of love gazing at him, she said,

"Fisher, I give you my everything, you must always be with me... you must become my husband, father to my children, my sole family, my most loved one, okay?"

He dreamt she sought tender love from him, and when he bowed his head to promise, she offered her warm lips, longing to become one with him.

He couldn’t remember the specific process, or perhaps he never intended to dream of that primal aspect of reproduction?

He only dreamt, felt the burning love she conveyed, he dreamt of Elizabeth whispering repeatedly beside his cheek, murmuring, moaning to Fisher,

"I love you..."

"I love you..."

"I love you..."

"I love you to the point of completely possessing you, even death cannot separate us, Fisher..."

In that dreamy haze, Fisher’s awareness, as if drowning in a dirty, oily muck, couldn’t fully comprehend the words within the dream. He suddenly felt his chest a bit constricted, and as the discomfort reached its peak, his consciousness became more lucid.

So the next second, he opened his eyes, and what he saw was the bed canopy swaying gently with the morning breeze.

It was still before dawn, leaving only the faint light from the gray sky through the window that Fisher could see. This time of day wasn’t Fisher’s favorite, always feeling it was too bleak before the sun rose, but typically, whenever he woke at this hour, there was always a bit of fragrance as solace.

This time was no exception.

Currently, strands of golden hair lay scattered across Fisher’s body, and above the golden hair, was the lotus arm excessively draped over Fisher, who else would it be but Queen Elizabeth.

Even in sleep, Queen Elizabeth’s posture could be called graceful. Although her arm, along with her face, rested on Fisher’s chest and shoulders, the gesture resembled an embrace, rather than an octopus-like lack of demeanor.

Beside them, the empty plate, blanket haphazardly stacked, the sheets folded like rippling waves, and silk balls evidently used, all spoke of the events of last night.
