Fisher learns about Gui's sacrifice to repair the Mother Goddess's authority and how Gui's power resonates with the Mother Goddess's new form. Helair explains that Gui never returned from the Spirit Realm, but her actions allowed the plan to proceed undetected. Fisher deduces that Gui's power may have influenced Renie's appearance and avatar. Fisher then asks about Rafael's unborn child, and Helair reveals the solution: retrieving a pure soul from the Spirit Realm's Sea of Souls, though the journey is perilous.

"The Spirit Realm, huh..."

Fisher repeated the term under his breath. All at once he realized that many of the clues he’d gathered were like trickling streams, slowly converging over a long span of time into rivers, and in the end all of them flowed eastward into the sea. The "Spirit Realm" was that sea, the place where countless questions could finally be answered.

But just as Helair had said, the requirements to enter the Spirit Realm were harsh. The most basic prerequisite was the Nineteenth Rank.

He had drawn on the Chaos of the Soul Completion Manual, but because of the Sealing, that chaotic power was extremely hard to fully unleash beyond Fisher’s current Rank. So for now, the strength he relied on still came from the Life Rank bestowed by the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual.

He was now at the Sixteenth Rank, and in light of the rule in the Demi-human Girls Completion Manual that "one Completion Manual corresponds to one Rank," to enter the Spirit Realm he would need to read at least three more Completion Manuals.

The Life Completion Manual, the Death Completion Manual, and the one whose whereabouts were known... the Destiny Complement Manual.

Thinking this far, Fisher lifted his gaze toward Helair again and asked, puzzled,

"Then what are the methods to enter the Spirit Realm?"

"Mm, there are two methods, plus one shortcut."

Helair flicked her hand again, and the hot tea in the cup slowly welled up like a spring with no source. At the same time, she raised three fingers, lowering one with each method she named,

"First, you need to obtain Dalasgon’s Blessing. Its Blessing can grant you the ability to freely enter and leave the Spirit Realm and the Gap. Fermat Baha did just that, coming and going at will between the Spirit Realm and the Gap. Second, you can use Demigod power to force your way into the Spirit Realm at a weak point in the Gap. The two weak points are in the Northern Realm and in the South Continent above our heads... Actually, there used to be a third method. At the boundary of the extracosmic material there was an even weaker entry point—earlier Angels used that path to enter the Spirit Realm. But because of the Mother Goddess, that passage has disappeared."

As he listened, Fisher furrowed his brows. It came down to fulfilling two very different conditions.

If he chose the first method, he’d need Dalasgon’s Blessing. If he chose the second, he’d have to read one more Completion Manual and reach the Twentieth Rank.

With that in mind, Fisher curiously asked what that extra "shortcut" was.

Helair took a sip of hot tea, smiling with narrowed eyes as she said,

"The shortcut is: you can just wait until the Flames that burn souls completely destroy the Gap. At that point the Spirit Realm will be in full contact with reality, and you won’t need to go through all this trouble."

"...By then, the Doomsday Prophecy will have run its course, and the world will be completely destroyed, right?"

Helair kept smiling, cupping her cheeks as she said,

"Precisely. So, think it over between the first two."

"I understand. Thank you, Helair, I’ll think about it carefully."

Fisher committed everything Helair had told him to memory. After pondering for a moment, he chose to speak up like this.

Helair was a little surprised. She tilted her head and asked,

"You’re not suspicious?"

"Suspicious? Suspicious of what?"

"Of whether what I said is true or false."

"..."

Helair’s blue-gold eyes were brimming with mischief. It was impossible to tell whether everything she had just said was heartfelt honesty or a Siren’s song luring him into yet another trap. Fisher met her gaze for a moment, then finally asked,

"Were you lying?"

"I was telling the truth~"

"Then I’ll treat it as the truth."

Helair looked at Fisher with satisfaction. Then, as if moved, her eyes even turned slightly red. She gently reached up to wipe the corner of her eye and said, deeply touched,

"If that sentence was graded out of ten, it would get nine points, dear. The missing one point is for saying it without hugging me. Next time, remember to keep up the good work."

"..."

Fisher sighed and glanced at Helair before him. In the end, he couldn’t help but stand up, ready to turn and leave. As he was about to go, he said,

"Then I’ll set out now."

Helair behind him didn’t really try to stop him. She merely tucked a strand of golden hair by her cheek with wifely grace and answered him gently,

"All right, have a safe journey."

"..."

Fisher nodded and started to turn away, but when he faced the doorway and saw the camel staring at him with that vacant, dazed look, he couldn’t help hesitating again.

Looking at the camel, Fisher once more thought of the time he’d spent with her back in the Holy Land. It was his feelings for her that reminded him that, deep down, there were still some things he hadn’t finished saying to Helair, hadn’t fully laid bare.

Just like everything she had done before—if you really wanted to talk about motives—she wanted to kill Rafael and cut off the key to the Doomsday Prophecy, all to pull him out of the Doomsday Prophecy.

Just as she had said, she had no obligation to protect Rafael, but she did have feelings that compelled her to protect Fisher.

From Fisher’s perspective, he couldn’t give up on either of them. But from a bystander’s viewpoint, it looked more like some wealthy Nali Gentleman’s lawfully wedded wife beating up the mistress—what talk was there of right or wrong?

And now, he was like someone sulking with Helair, just as he had ten years ago with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth had made a mistake back then, and in his youth and immaturity he chose to run away, chose to distance himself from Elizabeth as if that would settle everything once and for all. Yet in the end, after year upon year of hesitation and waiting, what he迎来了 was day after day of regret.
