Demi-human Girls Completion Manual Chapter 1601 - 98: Love
Previously on Demi-human Girls Completion Manual...
Early the next morning, having received reports about the situation in the rear of the Dragon Court, Rafael prepared to return immediately to inspect the situation, particularly after hearing that her mother had fainted while covering the children of the Flower Garden.
Fisher also prepared to return to the Dragon Court with Emhardt. During this time, aside from pondering how to contact Xuan Can and Hooked Kiss to resolve the big issue in Rafael’s belly, he was studying the newly acquired Death Completion Manual.
However, because Rafael had only finished organizing the battlefield and troops late into the night and now was setting off again, Fisher was quite worried.
Hmm, although he knew after entering the Mythical Rank, this level of physical exertion was nothing, given that she was pregnant, Fisher still instinctively worried due to his human notions. He brought up the matter in the carriage before leaving the frontline, leaving Rafael and Lar, who was driving the carriage, quite puzzled.
"Don’t worry, this little thing is nothing at all. Even a regular Dragon-man wouldn’t become so weak just because of pregnancy."
"Lord Rafael is right..." Lar comforted Fisher while providing an example to illustrate, "When Mier was pregnant, she was running around the Praying Tower every day, and she gave birth on the way to the Flower Garden. She just went into the bushes by herself to have the baby, then rushed to the Flower Garden with him, startling Lady Yaril upon arrival."
"...She was alone?"
Fisher raised an eyebrow, unexpectedly realizing how staunch Dragon-men were, though according to his research on the Dragon-man Species, it didn’t seem right.
Wouldn’t such resilience be more fitting for Trolls?
"She’s just teasing you, Fisher."
Rafael smiled, extended her hand to give Lar a playful flick, making her yelp softly, and explained,
"Mier actually gave birth at the Flower Garden, and my mother assisted her. But you really don’t have to worry about me; we truly aren’t so fragile, and I can take care of myself."
Fisher glanced speechlessly at Lar who cheekily stuck her tongue out at him while holding her head.
Emhardt stood atop Fisher’s head, while Moli hadn’t returned from the seaside. Previously, when leaving, Rafael sent a message using the Dragon Court’s servant demon magic informing her of their return from the frontline.
The journey was slightly bumpy; Lar got off the carriage upon reaching the frontline to continue organizing the situation, so of course, the driver’s seat was left to Fisher.
As he approached the carriage holding the reins with Emhardt, a nostalgic feeling suddenly came over him.
In the past, during his time in the South Continent, he drove a carriage just like this, carrying Rafael through the South Continent.
Unfortunately, Emhardt, unlike Fisher, didn’t seem to have any corresponding sentiment; he merely stood atop Fisher’s head, treating him like a horse, and in his comical voice shouted "Go, go, go," urging him to set off quickly, only to be grabbed and placed aside by Fisher.
Just like before, the small door connecting to the carriage subtly opened, revealing a pair of smiling emerald green eyes fixed on Fisher,
"Feeling a bit familiar?"
"Ah, indeed, though you’re no longer the little dragon you once were."
"Thunk, thunk..."
This was seemingly the sound of her dragon tail hitting the floor inside the carriage.
"I wasn’t a little dragon then either."
Rafael argued with a hint of nostalgia as she hesitated briefly watching Fisher’s back, regretfully she continued,
"Earlier... I had always kept the carriage you gave me. But during the war more than two and a half years ago, when the Pseudo Dragon Court bombarded the rear with cannons, it was destroyed, so..."
Fisher turned back to look at Rafael hidden within the carriage, then smiled and moved forward to gently kiss her lips through the small door, causing Emhardt to silently glare with lifeless eyes before flying to the rooftop, unwilling to watch any longer.
Soon after, steam began to subtly seep out from the carriage, forcing Emhardt to fly up while shouting below,
"You two are so dawdling, are we heading off or not!"
Below, neither of them responded, merely letting the steam linger, which almost drove Emhardt to crash his head into a tree in frustration.
After a brief kiss, Rafael retreated somewhat dazedly, first glancing at Fisher, then sneakily surveying the woodland surrounding the carriage, before returning her gaze to Fisher...
As her tail-matching partner, Fisher immediately understood her request.
He raised an eyebrow, then looked down at her belly, whispering a cautious reminder,
"Rafael, you’re pregnant..."
"..."
"This might not be good for the baby."
"..."
Rafael simply stared at him, her tail wagging slightly behind, seemingly unmoved, maintaining her hopeful posture.
Seeing this, Fisher resigned himself to a tactical delay, promising with a gentle persuasion,
"We’ll wait till we return to Dragon Court; I promise."
"..."
After contemplating for several seconds, Rafael finally nodded reluctantly, giving Fisher’s shoulder a gentle push and shyly saying,
