While Death Lord and Moli struggle to break Paimon's barrier, Holan offers to help Moli, allowing Elliog to leave. Sidi departs to find his husband. Meanwhile, Solomon emerges from an ink pool within Elliog's castle, having used a Holy Object to infiltrate. He retrieves a glowing stone Seal from a pillow, the last piece he needed, and confronts Fisher's broken lock sign.

Solomon’s joy was cut off all of a sudden; hearing that smiling feminine voice from behind him, his whole body shuddered, and his body, faster than his thoughts, dropped heavily to its knees on the ground. He knocked his head against the earth and, facing the still indistinct presence behind him, spoke in a trembling voice,

"Lo... Lord Paimon, I... I have already, according to your commands, over these thousands of years, entered all the other nine Gates besides yours and retrieved the Seals of the First Pillars from within... I truly tried, tried so very hard, and... and this is the last one. Please look it over... please... please look it over..."

"Oh, oh, I know. You must have died over ten thousand times for this. Although the palaces of the other Demon Gods did not set up Prohibitions against entry the way Elliog’s did, the mechanisms, traps, and Magic inside them are beyond counting..."

Prostrate on the ground, Solomon felt the figure before him drawing ever closer. He did not dare raise his head, only lifted in both hands the Seal that radiated Red light, and said with a faint smile,

"Don’t... don’t tease me... You should know, for an Undying such as I... so long as I can die... whatever you command me to do, I will do it..."

"Indeed, because you have forgotten why you should live, because everything that once kept you alive has already vanished into smoke. Because Undying is a curse; it can return you countless times to the bodily state you were in when it was bestowed, and it fixes your heart forever in that instant, never again able to accept any new purpose, new feeling, new existence..."

Solomon’s body began to tremble involuntarily, as though he were silently weeping, yet even the motion of weeping seemed to have been forgotten; he could only let his body shake with that inner despair and unending pain...

He said nothing more, only raised the Seal in his cupped hands even higher, and then, in a tone almost pleading, spoke humbly to the figure before him,

"Lord Paimon... I have completed the task you set... please... please grant me death..."

"No hurry, Solomon..."

"...Do you... do you still need me to do something? Speak, and I will do it, I will surely do it, anything at all! So long as... so long as I can..."

Solomon dazedly lifted his head, and what entered his sight was that pure white being, bare-footed yet lightly floating, never touching the ground.

She wore a robe of sacred purity, her face was of peerless beauty, and the crown upon her head also shed a light like the Gospel of heaven guiding the world.

Her smile was kindly and gentle, as though she were the only hope in this world, the only light...

Yet she raised her index finger, smilingly stopping Solomon from uttering the final word "death," as though that word were too inauspicious, as though it were too merciless, too cruel.

"Shh..."

"Y... yes, please command me..."

Solomon once more knocked his head against the ground, but the hands in which he held aloft the Seal of Elliog’s Competitive Gate First Pillar were still raised high and had never been lowered.

"I do indeed still need you to do one last thing, but I swear by the name ’Paimon’ that this truly will be the last thing. And it is very simple."

"Y... yes, please command me..."

Paimon not only did not take back the Seal he was offering up, but instead, like an Angel, lightly drew from his hands another Seal that radiated the same golden light and gently placed it in Solomon’s palm.

Feeling that cool Seal fall into his hand, Solomon’s body could not help but tremble once more, and Paimon’s voice sounded again,

"With these Seals in hand, you can open the ten great Gates they correspond to. This is a secret known only to the four Kings and the six First Pillars behind the Gates. And your task is very simple: I want you to open these Gates one by one, and then you will obtain what you desire... Can you do it, Solomon?"

The hands with which Solomon cradled the Seals slowly clenched tighter. He drew in a deep breath, as though to bury his face in the dirt, and after several seconds, he spoke, word by word,

"I... swear to fulfill your command, Lord Paimon!"
