Fisher learns about the potentially dangerous power of souls from Caleb Wuz, who used this knowledge to try and reach his family. Upon concluding his conversation, Fisher is struck by a new inspiration regarding the Soul Completion Manual. He is then interrupted by Rafael, who is having a disturbing nightmare.

In her sleep, Rafael’s consciousness seemed to be sinking continuously, falling into an endless darkness.

She didn’t know where she was going, only feeling that everything around her was receding. What gradually presented itself before her eyes and ears was boundless darkness mixed with a certain fishy stench.

Rafael seemed to have witnessed this scene many times, but each time she woke up, she would forget. Only in this moment of slumber could she find traces of her memory.

"Transferee..."

In front of her stood architecture a hundred, a thousand times more magnificent than the Red Dragon Court. Among them were far more Dragon-man species than today, wailing and rushing about, chased relentlessly by a twisted, tsunami-like black swamp.

The black swamp had no fixed shape, yet took on grotesque faces as it roared forward. Those faces bore the grimaces of Dragon-man species and other demi-human species... They maintained the hideous expressions of those moments before their demise, mouths gaping, biting each other, collectively uttering pained cries,

"No... my wife... my daughter..."

"Where are you going..."

"Come back... come back quickly..."

"It was all a lie... why... why... oh Master of the Soul, why are you so cruel... why do you torment me so..."

"Why... we can never return... why..."

Upon hearing that voice, Rafael could not distinguish what it was saying, yet within herself released an extremely angry dragon roar. From "herself," an unmatched, terrifying force rapidly spread, turning the skies and earth into forces of savagery and fire, poised for an all-out battle with the shapeless black mud.

Then, behind Rafael, an unknown, serene whisper, belonging to no known creature, gender, or entity, suddenly sounded:

"Stay away from him..."

The slumbering Rafael froze for a moment, then detached from that enormous and strong dragon body, turning to see within the darkness, an eye of enormous size filling the space between barely parted lips, quietly gazing at her.

And the calm warning came from its mouth, repeating,

"Stay away from him."

"... From whom? And who are you?"

"..."

The large eye did not answer Rafael’s question. Instead, it burst like a balloon, releasing colorful mist that quickly filled Rafael’s entire field of vision.

Afterward, she seemed to see Fisher’s silhouette.

His shadow, standing there, immediately captured Rafael’s gaze, as if granting her a sense of support and security amidst the darkness.

Her face brightened with joy, subconsciously ready to call out to her husband,

"Fish..."

But as the words left her mouth halfway, beside her, a Whale-man species with long blue hair and a wide, soft, and elastic bosom plunged into Fisher’s embrace before her, tightly hugging him as if reenacting a classic scene, stunning Rafael on the spot.

"Boom!"

Rafael suddenly opened her eyes, jolted from her sleep. Her body was drenched in cold sweat, as if she had just endured a torment,

"Ha... Ha..."

Then, her eyes met the dimly lit room and Fisher, looking at her with deep concern from close by.

"Rafael, thank goodness you’re awake..."

Fisher’s worried expression relaxed a bit, but at that moment, lying in bed, Rafael felt a surge of anger. She froze for a moment, then puffed her cheeks and moved forward a bit, cautiously sniffing his scent. Confirming it was entirely hers without any fragrance of the Ocean, she retracted her head.

Now, Rafael only remembered the latter part of the dream, as if that’s the real dream she was supposed to have, with the previous scenes being illusions of no consequence...

Yet halfway through her thoughts, she recalled the dream where Moli embraced him, and her anger flared up again. With an "Aowu," she bit into Fisher’s collarbone, leaving him utterly perplexed.

"... What are you doing?"

"..."

She didn’t answer, merely releasing her grip on the part she’d bitten, then gently licked the spot with her tongue.

"Nightmare?"

"... Mm."

"What did you dream about?"

"Dreamt of you and Moli in front of me..."

"..."

Fisher chuckled and patted her head, tactfully changing the subject,

"You’ve only slept for three hours, do you want to rest a little more?"

"No."

"... Want to go check at the barracks again?"

Rafael gently embraced Fisher’s shoulders, then shook her head, breathing warmly and speaking softly,

"No..."

"Then what do you want to do?"

"Want you..."

"..."

No, didn’t you just before sleeping...

Fisher raised an eyebrow, moving back a bit as he looked at Rafael, who was hugging him without letting go, somewhat at a loss for words.

He wondered if it was because she discovered that her own stamina seemed endless, but each time it was she who would tire first, so every time she eagerly sought to exhaust her energy.
