Pahetz confronts Captain Alagina about her overwhelming feelings for Fisher, which seem to be causing their crew many problems and putting them in danger. Alagina, however, acknowledges her feelings and decides to embrace the gamble, believing Fisher is worth the risk and that she needs to take responsibility for her past actions. Later, Alagina reflects on her perceived weaknesses and the challenges she faces, questioning her ability to grow stronger and achieve her goals alone.

Perhaps she was already doing better than most, even significantly better, but as she looked upward, she faced an insurmountable barrier...

She silently picked up the Cardinals she had thrown in anger just moments ago, these were all found by Isabella in the Storm Sea; she was very good at finding things, having helped locate all of Black Chief’s Cardinals back then.

But the truly precious items, still intact, she didn’t take out, instead leaving them on the Iceberg Queen, which they had brought here all along.

Alagina judged that these seemingly intact Cardinals were absolutely valuable, not only in monetary terms but in many other aspects, so even if the Iceberg Queen sank, she did not abandon the dozens of machines they retrieved from the Storm Sea.

Only, they had studied them for so long and still hadn’t discovered their purpose, leaving them like glowing heaps of scrap metal.

They had just shown them to others inside the Wutong Tree, and they, too, couldn’t come up with any conclusions...

So, were these things all useless?

While organizing her things, Alagina pondered and eased the melancholy in her heart; though her face showed no expression, she appeared vulnerable and helpless.

"Snap..."

"Buzz... buzz..."

But as she was organizing these Cardinals, Alagina suddenly noticed that one of the Cardinals, which Pahetz had rudely thrown to the ground moments ago, began to flicker with an intermittent, unnatural light, and was emitting a faint noise.

This Cardinal, is it... making a sound?

"Buzz... buzz..."

"...Arrived at valid location, ready to execute jump escape plan, initiate?"

"What... is this?"

"Detecting unfamiliar language, translation functionality activated..."

The circular object, like a small sphere, slowly levitated, as if Pahetz’s throw had unlocked its potential, making its light flow smoother and brighter...

"Buzz... buzz, Esteemed Holy Descendant, we have arrived at the valid location, the jump instruments are currently functioning normally, ready to execute jump escape plan, initiate?"

"Where is the jump destination...?"

Alagina stared, dumbfounded, at the brilliantly glowing sphere in front of her, unable to fathom the existence capable of creating such a magical instrument...

Holy Descendant? Is it referring to me, or some other existence, did it make a mistake?

"Confirming jump destination as: Spirit Realm, Sanctuary."

"Spirit Realm?"

"Yes."

"You... you can talk?"

"Holy Land’s exclusive to Yuphile Angel’s steward, David Qin Shi Huang Yuphile Limited Edition, at your service, you may call me Little David."

"Qin Shi Huang? Yuphile?"

"Yes, the names of my two creators, they are written in my program, no authority to change them for now~"

Alagina was completely amazed by the wondrous Cardinal before her, but it sounded as though the Spirit Realm was a distant place, so she couldn’t help but ask,

"If I go... can I come back?"

"Of course, with sufficient energy, estimated remaining uses: thirty-two thousand times."

"What is that Sanctuary? What’s inside?"

"Allow me to explain, the so-called Sanctuary is an emergency place established by Lord Heavenly Lock and the Angel Leaders in the Spirit Realm before the war, containing a complete Holy Descendant forging system, the Holy Descendant’s collections and refuge. Kindly allow me to connect to the other Davids in the Sanctuary to show you the specifics... eh, connection failed, how peculiar..."

"Wait, what exactly is the Holy Descendant you mentioned?"

"Holy Descendant? Oh, you don’t even know that?"

Little David shook its head and then floated before Alagina,

"Holy Descendants are Angels, one of the world’s only three existing Mythical Species..."

Alagina stared blankly at the machine before her, and after a moment of silence, suddenly asked,

"Is it... stronger than the Phoenix?"

"Hahahahaha... forgive my fake laughter, I don’t fully understand the humor of intelligent beings yet. To directly answer your question: yes, the Holy Descendants are immensely more powerful than the Phoenix Species."

Little David spun in mid-air, then laughed with an emotionless tone, before continuing to address Alagina’s doubts.

The Cardinal’s words were direct, but the content struck a certain spot within Alagina’s heart.

She suddenly developed a desire for something beyond the ordinary’s power.

Angels...

"What’s in that Sanctuary you mentioned?"

"What’s inside? Hmm... various Holy Objects more powerful than what you’re wearing? The collections of the Holy Descendants? Various models of me? Hmm, with luck you might even meet the Holy Descendants... But strangely, I can’t connect to the public server, nor any jump records, and there’s no response when signaling the Sanctuary, very odd..."

Alagina pondered for a moment, her gaze lingering on the floating Cardinal in front of her, not knowing what thoughts occupied her mind.
