Demi-human Girls Completion Manual Chapter 1366 - 31: True and False Prophecies (Part 2)

Before departing the South Continent, my carriage was entrusted to Rafael, a gesture intended to aid her and her companions on their journey home across the vast continent. In my haste, however, the clothes belonging to Renie, which had been left inside the carriage, were inadvertently overlooked.
To be entirely candid, retrieving those garments immediately would have been ill-advised. Had I, during a previous joint assassination operation with Rafael, been discovered holding another woman's clothing, it's highly probable she would have erupted in fury mid-combat.
Rafael's decision to incinerate Renie's clothes was, therefore, both surprising and, in retrospect, quite understandable.
"My arrival on the South Continent was purely an accident, a fact Emhardt can vouch for," I stated.
"Huh? Me? Um..." Emhardt stammered.
Fortunately, Emhardt lacks hands; otherwise, he might have pointed accusatorily at his own face. Witnessing Renie's gaze upon him, it appeared a sheen of cold sweat manifested on his book cover. With hesitation, he timidly affirmed, "I... Indeed..."
"Heh, and who exactly is this Helair that Fisher just mentioned? Has he been involved with others before?" Renie inquired, crossing her arms and directing her expressionless question at Emhardt. The inquiry startled him, causing him to take an involuntary step back. His gaze flickered between Fisher and Renie before he hastily replied, "I... I don't know. After I was sent back in time, I was apprehended by the Holy Descendants and wasn't privy to his activities. This... all of this has absolutely no connection to me! Lady Renie, please understand!"
"As a mere Holy Object, how could this possibly concern you?" Renie's question, though seemingly addressed to Emhardt, was implicitly directed at Fisher. Upon uttering this, she turned her gaze towards Fisher, a hint of displeasure evident in her expression, likely stemming from his anxious mention of another individual before he had fully regained his senses.
She had previously asserted a general indifference towards self-imposed constraints, but this held true only under a specific condition: that none of these interfering women dared to provoke her.
The barbed words were delivered as if aimed directly at her, and though spoken through Fisher's lips, it was clear how highly he valued the individual bearing that name, wasn't it?
Upon hearing Renie's probing question, Fisher’s demeanor shifted, becoming grave, as if he were not merely answering an inquiry but engaging in a discussion of profound significance.
"Regarding Helair, Renie, she is an angel I encountered in the Holy Land, a Mythical Species conceived by the Heavenly Lock. During the calamitous events instigated by a transferee within the Ideal Country, both she and I were plunged into the chaotic ocean. She became tainted, while I remained largely unharmed... at least on the surface. The upheaval resulted in the genesis of a new Mythical Species, a Demon Species, within the Ideal Country, and she was dispatched by the angels under the assumed identity of 'Paimon'..."
"Perhaps due to her guise as a 'Demon God' while actually being an 'Angel,' she not only survived the Holy Land's destruction during the war but also evaded the Mother Goddess's judgment against demons. For countless centuries, she has traversed the world. Upon my return, she roused two Eighteenth Rank demons from the Abyss, and currently, she operates from within Nali’s forces... Most importantly, just as I was on the verge of departing from the past to return to the present, the Mother Goddess herself emerged, and it appears her birth is somewhat linked to Helair, or rather, to an elf named 'Gui' who seems to have a connection to you..."
Renie's expression faltered momentarily, her mind then turning to ponder the name that had just been spoken.
"Gui?"
"Yes, Gui, one of the three scions of the World Tree's elves. I encountered her in the past, and it was she, along with Helair, who facilitated my passage into the chaos via the Mythical Rank. She bears an uncanny resemblance to you, an absolute mirror image..."
Fisher proceeded to recount his encounters with Gui to Renie, emphasizing how she had referred to him as a 'key' figure. He specifically linked this to Helair's earlier assertion that 'Fisher is the key to resolving the Doomsday Prophecy,' divulging all these details to Renie.
The more Renie listened, the greater the bewilderment etched on her face. She murmured,
"Gui, Helair... Paimon, these names do resonate, though my knowledge of them is scant. My predecessor, venerated by humanity as the Mother Goddess, engaged in conflict with the gods in the Spirit Realm at the conclusion of the Mythical War and ultimately perished. This led to my own emergence. I am not her, nor is she me; we are merely distinct entities brought forth by the Authority. Her memories are inaccessible to me, though I occasionally catch fleeting, indistinct glimpses of scenes she once witnessed... However, I am aware that the Authority descended upon this world approximately ten thousand years ago..."
"If she materialized when you departed, then your return coincides with that ten-thousand-year mark. In terms of temporal alignment, her existence and experiences far exceed mine, and consequently, her understanding of this world is immeasurably vaster. Even now, I am endeavoring to unravel the truth behind her involvement in the war, a mystery that eludes even an entity like Ramasitia. Born within the Spirit Realm of this world ten millennia ago, she coexisted harmoniously with it for such an extended period; why then did she abruptly intercede in the Mythical War?"
"As for your aforementioned point... the Doomsday Prophecy..."
While Renie spoke, her eyes subtly flickered towards Fisher, finding him lost in his thoughts, completely oblivious to her attention. A peculiar, unreadable expression crossed her face before she abruptly declared, "Fisher, I cannot accept that you are the crucial element in resolving the Doomsday Prophecy. Frankly, I believe your involvement in this affair is unnecessary."
