Fisher is shocked to learn that Moli's father is Hooked Kiss, a man he knew in the past. He realizes Hooked Kiss may have always viewed him as a potential son-in-law, explaining past strange behaviors. Fisher also reflects on who else might still be alive from his past.

Fisher harbored a reluctance to ponder their fate; his focus was instead diverted to a barrage of questions.

Firstly, if the Hooked Kiss were indeed Moli’s father, did his prowess as a Divine Doctor mean he had conquered the issue of Mythical Rank beings being unable to procreate?

Moli was barely over 160 years old, and by the time of her birth, Xuan Can had ascended to the Demigod Rank generations ago. Logically, conceiving a child through natural means should have been impossible, a fact Fisher had gleaned from Gabriel’s account in the Holy Land.

Yet, Moli existed, carrying the bloodline of both Xuan Can and the Hooked Kiss, a scion of the Whale-man Species. Save for an increased burden of curses beyond that of typical Whale-men, she appeared entirely normal.

However, lacking concrete evidence and unaware of the intricate details, Fisher filed this under the category of unresolved queries.

Another pressing matter arose: if the Hooked Kiss was still alive and had personally encountered Fisher, understanding his character and his potential to harm his own daughter, why had he never intervened to halt Moli and Fisher’s burgeoning relationship over the years?

To be perfectly candid, from Fisher’s perspective, had he been in the Hooked Kiss’s position, he would have intercepted Fisher long before they ever met, administered a thorough beating, and spirited his daughter away…

Upon further contemplation, a plausible explanation emerged: the Hooked Kiss might be unaware of the true circumstances, or even if cognizant, he might be unable to intervene.

Based on Moli's revelations, his communication was facilitated through Xuan Can, strongly suggesting he was not present in the physical realm.

If not in the current world, he likely resided in the Gap or the Spirit Realm, his return barred by some unknown impediment…

Nevertheless, as long as he drew breath, Fisher possessed a target and a general direction for his search.

The crucial aspect was that if Fisher located him, having been a witness to that particular segment of the Holy Land journey, he would undoubtedly be acquainted with Tangze Asuka and other Transferees. Fisher found it improbable that they hadn't crossed paths over the years, especially given the Hooked Kiss’s benevolent Whale-man nature.

Furthermore, having experienced the entirety of that history, he held a high probability of knowing Tangze Asuka’s whereabouts or ultimate fate. Locating him promised to unravel a multitude of mysteries…

Therefore… hmm, provided he didn’t outright assault him upon meeting, acquiring answers should be feasible…

This line of reasoning held considerable weight.

Despite engaging in a prior act of mental preparation, Fisher found his interest waning in that particular endeavor at this moment.

Perhaps it was Moli's status as the Hooked Kiss's daughter, or perhaps the act of deceiving Rafael, who was diligently fulfilling his duties, instilled a sense of hesitation in Fisher…

In essence, Fisher resolved to postpone his pursuits for the time being.

"Um, Moli… earlier Ingrid mentioned that the two Demon Attendants who escorted her presumably remain alive. Their current whereabouts are unknown. While those demons might not be particularly powerful, their unsupervised presence within the Dragon Court could certainly incite considerable trouble…"

Moli opened her lips, then responded,

"Ingrid? Ah, that human reporter… but, if that’s the case…"

Moli understood the futility of confronting those two demons alongside Fisher. Not only was she, as a High Priest, restricted from freely moving about, but simply for Rafael to discover her clandestine… no, her private meeting with Fisher would undoubtedly lead to complications.

However, having only recently begun her interactions with Fisher, having known him for less than half an hour, how could she possibly be content? Thus, a flicker of hesitation crossed her features, a reluctance to part with Fisher.

Observing her conflicted expression, Fisher offered a slight smile, adding,

"Do not forget, it is quite close to your chambers."

Moli pressed her lips together, her gaze fixed upon him. Upon hearing his words, a subtle spark illuminated her eyes, her expression a delicate blend of anticipation and demureness.

She hesitated for a moment longer but ultimately decided to prioritize the larger objective and crucial matters at hand, reluctantly agreeing to let Fisher depart for now.

Yet, before she left, Moli murmured an additional detail,

"Moreover, traversing this particular corridor typically goes unnoticed. Rafael rarely utilizes this route… my… my chambers also possess excellent soundproofing…"

"…"

Fisher couldn't help but feel as though Moli was deliberately provoking Rafael; she clearly prevented him from speaking, yet she always brought up such topics first.

"Then… Fisher, I shall make my departure now?"

"Very well."

After receiving Fisher’s assent, Moli leaned in and bestowed a gentle kiss upon him, seemingly the most daring gesture she could muster at that moment.

She then rose, adjusted the High Priest Robe she was wearing, and moved towards the chamber door. First, she intently listened for any sounds from outside, confirming the profound quietude before grasping the doorknob and slowly creaking the door ajar. Subsequently, she peered through the narrow gap to survey the surroundings, finally ascertaining no other presence before casting one last glance back at Fisher.

A subtle smile graced her lips as she silently pushed open the door, stepped out, and gently closed it behind her.

"Click..."

This impeccably smooth maneuver left Fisher astonished, prompting him to question her prior training.

Regardless, it wasn't until the faint, sweet aroma she exuded finally faded that Fisher managed to regain his composure.

He cast a glance at his own hands before sighing and sinking back onto the plush bed.

Why did it feel as though life back at the Dragon Court, both day and night, was constantly infused with an overwhelming excitement?

Naturally, for Fisher, such 'excitement' carried a decidedly negative connotation.
