Ingrid, seemingly Fisher's wife, confronts him with two maids, one of whom secretly extracts a 'Fallen Self' from Ingrid. Rafael and Moli arrive, Moli senses Ingrid's deception about her relationship with Fisher. Fisher questions Ingrid's presence, learning she's there to bring him back and away from the Red Dragon Court, but he wrestles with the decision given his ties to Rafael, Moli, and his homeland.

"Which one is it?"

"Wuwu..."

Ingrid paused momentarily, a realization dawning upon her. Her gaze sharpened, and she tilted her head upwards, directing her attention towards the so-called "maid" positioned behind her.

"Wuwuwu!"

Fisher’s expression turned stern. Amidst the stunned gazes of all present, she swiftly lunged forward, her hand closing around the long spear held by Rafael. Rafael hesitated for a split second, but observing Fisher’s icy demeanor, she promptly relinquished her grip, allowing the spear to retain its formidable shape.

"Ah..."

Upon witnessing Fisher seize the spear, the "maid" seemed to detect an impending anomaly. Just as she was about to vocalize her suspicion, the crimson spear shot towards her like a shooting rainbow, accompanied by a thunderous blast.

"Ah!!"

Ingrid’s usually rosy face contorted into a mask of paleness. She squeezed her eyes shut in sheer terror, feeling the very air and wind around her compress and surge towards her, as if Fisher intended to send her directly to the abyss with a single, decisive throw.

As a mere human, all she could do was scream with utter helplessness, just scream!

Yet, the spear was not aimed at her, but at the demonic entity concealed behind her.

In the instant Fisher hurled the spear, the maid remained utterly unaware before being confronted by the weapon imbued with Mythical Rank power. It impaled her directly through the head, severing the connection from her hand to Ingrid—no, it was more akin to a tentacle like an arrow.

"Boom!"

The entire tent was obliterated by the impact. The maid’s decapitated body swayed precariously before collapsing onto the ground. From her tattered maid uniform, a torrent of blood, as scalding as molten lava, began to seep out.

Another maid, witnessing this horrifying spectacle, revealed a long, terrifying tail that whipped out from behind her. Her features contorted with savage ferocity as a pair of goat-like horns began to sprout from her forehead.

"You dare defy the Duke’s decree! You..."

Rafael’s brow furrowed. With a simple beckoning gesture, the crimson spear that had flown off instantly returned, crushing the maid’s head before flying back into Rafael’s waiting hand.

Gazing upon the two headless, non-human corpses, Rafael couldn’t help but ponder,

"Is this also... the Demon Species? Why do they appear so feeble? They’re worlds apart from Barbatos encountered earlier..."

Moli also shook her head, musing that if Lord Ramasitia were present, perhaps she would possess the answer. Unfortunately, four and a half years prior, he had departed from her side, likely to attend to critical matters on the seabed, and had not been seen since. Consequently, all responsibilities fell upon Moli’s shoulders.

Meanwhile, Ingrid had crumpled to the ground, her body slick with a cold sweat. Clutching her chest, she gasped for breath, feeling as though she had narrowly escaped an immense catastrophe, deeply thankful for the divine favor of the Goddess of Luck.

"Mother Goddess... Mother Goddess, bless me... I... I truly survived..."

Ingrid knelt on the ground, tears streaming down her face. Fisher approached her cautiously, refraining from any physical contact. Instead, she turned to introduce Ingrid to Rafael and the others.

"This is Ingrid, a reporter hailing from Schwali. Before I became affiliated with the Red Dragon Court, she briefly served as my guide. We ventured into a Nali factory engaged in the production of armaments, which unfortunately led to us being targeted by Barbatos..."

"I see..."

Rafael moved closer, her gaze sweeping over the human before her, resembling a trembling fledgling chick. Her interest waned swiftly as her eyes shifted towards the approaching Dragon Court Soldiers, a flicker of distress crossing her features.

However, Moli, ever observant, noticed the scattered gold, silver, and jewels within the tent and couldn’t resist questioning Fisher,

"But if it was merely a message from the False Court, why dispatch so many precious items?"

This inquiry jolted Ingrid back to a state of lucidity.

Her pupils contracted sharply, and she hastily lifted her head, speaking with urgency to Fisher.

"Fi... Fisher, there was a peculiar individual aboard that vessel, originally accompanying those two. However... they slew him, smearing his flesh and blood upon those objects. I... I have no inkling as to why, but..."

"Buzz!"

Ingrid’s rapid explanation was abruptly silenced as a circular insignia emblazoned on the back of her neck suddenly illuminated.

Behind her, the headless maid’s physical form began to contort once more, revealing a visage of raw flesh and blood upon the demon’s corpse. The face was grotesque, devoid of discernible emotion, save for its maw, filled with jagged teeth, which continuously spewed forth vile pronouncements.

"Heh... my lord... we bear the blessing of Duke Agares... since you refuse the Duke’s command, we are compelled to leave the young lady and her treasures here..."

"Caw!"

As her malevolent speech concluded, a bird, possessing the characteristics of both an eagle and a crow, commenced circling in the sky. It did not descend, but rather, dropped an object of minuscule proportion.

Fisher looked upwards, realizing with a jolt that it was a severed finger.

"Fisher! Fisher! Urge everyone to retreat at once!!"

At this precise moment, while Fisher remained utterly bewildered, an entity arrived even faster than the Dragon Court Soldiers—a square-shaped, rotating book, none other than Emerhardt. Perhaps to expedite his traversal, he had adopted such an comically unconventional method of travel.
