The security check is complete. Natasha nodded and said, "We’ll come by again before bed tonight, but there’s no need to check the house again. Someone will coordinate the night watch security work with you. By the way, are you allergic to bats?"

Schiller’s finger paused slightly, not understanding why she asked, so he half-jokingly said, "Are you going to have Batman watch over me at night?"

"Not exactly." Natasha gave a professional smile, "Maybe something even more bat-like."

Schiller didn’t quite understand her meaning, but he didn’t think much of it. After Natasha left, Schiller watched her back. Thor appeared concerned Schiller might think Natasha’s attitude was poor, so he explained, "This lady can be quite serious in her work, but she’s very diligent and responsible. With her around, no one can threaten your safety."

"I believe that," Schiller said, "After all, she’s Miss Romanoff, and they always excel in this area."

Thor didn’t understand what he meant, but Peter couldn’t help but laugh and nodded, saying, "Yeah, they don’t have assassinated presidents over there."

"And two of them at that."

The two exchanged a glance and knowingly laughed.

At this moment, Peter’s phone rang, and after answering, he said, "Hello, this is Parker. What? A fight? With whom? ... Okay, I’ll be right over."

Peter put his phone back in his pocket, stood up, and said, "Bruce Wayne seems to have had some conflict with classmates, I need to go check it out."

Just as Peter was about to leave, Schiller called out to him and said, "Don’t rush, call someone from the Rebirth Alliance first. Natasha is probably still downstairs, see if she can bring someone over. Otherwise, how will you stop Spider Man?"

"It’s not like I can’t take him," Peter said, "Not that I plan to fight him, but if he acts out, I can hold him back. I’m a magician now."

Schiller sighed and said, "But you’re not a member of the Rebirth Alliance, it’s better for someone with an official status to handle it. Should I call Agent Carter?"

"Oh, better not, she’s been really tired lately." Peter took out his phone, dialed a number, instructed on the other side, and then said, "I still need to check things out, I think there might be some misunderstanding. If it doesn’t get resolved, it could affect his relationship with classmates, and I don’t want conflicts among the students I mentor..."

"Go ahead." Schiller said, "Thor can accompany me for a walk."

After Peter left, Schiller stood up. Thor thought he was going out and moved to the door, only to see Schiller stand by the floor-to-ceiling window.

"What’s up with you and Loki?"

Thor sighed deeply, "Last time, I withstood all the pressure to bring him back. He turned around and released Surtur, making me really awkward. This time, I’m keeping him locked up no matter what."

"Doesn’t he cause trouble with you?"

"He’s been relatively quiet recently," Thor said, "But I reckon only for half a month. It’s why this wedding is perfectly timed. Loki is in a cooling period, at least he won’t come out to cause trouble."

"Keeping him locked up isn’t a long-term solution, what do you plan to do?"

"Actually, letting him out isn’t a big deal," Thor said, "Now I can control the entire Nine Major Kingdoms, whatever trouble he causes can’t escape my eye, I can stop him before he acts, and I won’t let him cause big chaos again."

Schiller lightly pressed his lips together, seemingly wanting to say something but ultimately didn’t. Thor noticed and asked, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing," Schiller lightly shook his head, "If there’s any psychology-related issues, you can always come to me."

"I’ve heard you charge a lot," Thor grinned.

"Sometimes yes," Schiller didn’t deny, "But occasionally, I offer free help too."

At this moment, the door was knocked again, Schiller walked over and opened it to see a helpless Carter and Iron Man with arms crossed.

"You actually came." Iron Man squeezed through the door crack.

Schiller looked him up and down, then said, "I didn’t expect you’d come to see me in this armor, if you didn’t want to come, you could’ve just not come."

Iron Man was instantly flustered, "What?"

"If your symbiotic battle armor is equivalent to a suit, then this should be similar to pajamas, right?" Schiller looked at his gold and red armor, "Even if you can’t wear formal wear for some reason, there’s no need to drag everyone into a retro pajama party, right?"

Thor on the left, Carter on the right, both widened their eyes looking at Schiller: "The battle of the double cities won’t happen again, will it???"

Iron Man instantly turned red-hot, in the physical sense. The core at his chest lit up, and the cannons on his hands opened.

But he took a deep breath, slapped the door frame hard, and said, "You illiterate! This isn’t the first-generation battle armor, just the same color scheme. Just because it’s gold and red doesn’t mean it’s the first generation!"

"Then how about your symbiotic battle armor?"

Iron Man powered down.

"I don’t mean to offend, but this suit looks a bit too much like other Iron Men, making me mistakenly think you’re a good guy."

"I am a good guy right now! I’m the head of the Strategic Operations Department!"

"Then, what brings the esteemed head here?"

Iron Man seemed completely out of sorts, he walked right in and said, "Are you pretending or do you really not know?"

"What should I know?" Shiller asked, looking at him.

"I’ll just assume you’re an ordinary person without mind-reading capabilities." Iron Man came in, sighed deeply, lifted his visor, and looked back at Shiller saying, "There are two Iron Men in this cosmos."

"Are you here to gain my support?"

Iron Man looked somewhat embarrassed, but he still said, "Originally, if Batman wasn’t here, I could accept having two Iron Men. But now there’s Batman too."

"Can’t you handle them both teaming up?"

"Shiller!" Iron Man raised his voice.

"I’m not being too blunt, but not even you going in circles with me for half an hour will get you the answer you want. Because I’m just here for the wedding." Shiller said, "I don’t want to cause trouble."

Iron Man stared blankly at him, as if hearing some ancient tale: "You don’t want to cause trouble? Then can you tell me why there are two Iron Men in this cosmos? And why, out of nowhere, there’s Batman and the Justice League on Earth?"

"This doesn’t count as trouble," Shiller said. "No matter how you look at it, it should count as solving some trouble for you."

Realizing Shiller was impervious, Iron Man tried another tactic: "I couldn’t care less if that kid Nightwing’s wedding goes smoothly. I just want to have a showdown with them."

"I’m still here." Thor crossed his arms looking at him, "You’re not causing a scene in front of so many guests, or I’ll toss you out."

"Ruining someone else’s wedding doesn’t make you look clever." Shiller returned to the sofa and invited Carter to sit across from him. He looked at Carter and said, "Haven’t you thought about mediating things for them?"

"Everyone else is fine," Carter said. "Only he’s determined to go against them."

Shiller looked at Iron Man, and Iron Man stood there looking at him. After a moment, Iron Man turned to leave, and Shiller said, "I understand you. You feel like you’re living on the brink of terror, so you desperately want to control something around you, to prove you can control something, you’re about to go mad."

Iron Man’s steps halted, he looked back at Shiller, but at this moment he had already closed his visor, so no one could see his eyes.

"I don’t understand," Carter also looked at Iron Man. "The war is over, what are you afraid of? Feeling guilty?"

Carter was clearly seeing things from another angle. Clearly, Iron Man was one of the mad scientists, and even if he didn’t stir up this incident and he introduced the three major kingdoms to defend Earth, in some sense, he contributed to resisting Darkseid, but he might also worry about being held accountable.

Especially this Iron Man seemed quite off, his arrogance was beyond anyone’s imagination. So, he might not want to go to a deserted place like Reed; he wanted to enjoy the urban prosperity and excitement, not want to be controlled, yet wanted others to sincerely follow him.

Thinking of this, Carter got angry. These people are always like this, relying on their genius scientist status, they don’t care about anyone’s safety or Earth’s safety, because they know they’ll be forgiven even after causing trouble, they’ll repeatedly cause dangerous incidents.

Carter stood up, looking at Iron Man and said, "The one who should feel fear and unease is not you, Tony Stark. Those ordinary people overshadowed by the shadow of your dangerous inventions, they are still willing to call you a great scientist, willing to believe the incidents you cause are just accidental errors, a necessary part of human scientific development. But you should be very clear within yourself if it really is."

"You should know very well whether you deserve such admiration and praise. If you truly were the all-powerful hero they say, why did Pepper leave you?"

Iron Man’s expression changed: "How dare you bring up Pepper?!"

He took a step forward, and Thor hurried to stand between them. Iron Man brushed him aside and said to Carter, "You can’t stand others being happy because your marriage isn’t. If you hadn’t told Pepper about my origins, she wouldn’t have..."

"Do you really think you can hide it forever?!" Carter looked into Iron Man’s eyes and said firmly, "The evil you possess, the crimes you’ve committed, will eventually be exposed to the public. By then, how do you know she wouldn’t personally stand in the Court to accuse you?!"

"The reason I’m still here talking to you is precisely because you’re the only one who has actively solved the wars in the cosmos. I think maybe you somewhat deserve the people’s acclaim. But, Tony, if one day someone ruins you, it won’t be Spider-Man, it won’t be Pepper, it won’t be me, it’ll only be yourself! Tony, throwing your talents into the sea, only those who want to fish it out will drown. I hope you remember this point!"

Iron Man’s chest heaved violently, his hand gripped the door frame tightly: "But you shouldn’t have... you shouldn’t, shouldn’t have dragged Pepper into this!"

"Don’t underestimate her, Tony." Carter was practically nose-to-nose with Iron Man, "She is your best assistant, she knows you best. If she had no suspicions, why would she come to me?"

"But you could have told her I didn’t..."

"How could you think I could deceive her?! If you had shown integrity and true justice from start to finish, even if I said you were evil, she wouldn’t have left you!"

Iron Man left, crestfallen.
