Dating My Scumbag Ex's Uncle Chapter 926 The Truth

Massed at the entrance, a disciplined rank of guards stood ready, their backs adorned with knives and crossbows. These were unmistakably Lin Nan's loyal soldiers.
I turned my gaze back to Lin Nan, who emerged with an air of studied calm. Her voice, projecting loudly, declared, "Nanxing, I warned you. You are not permitted to depart."
With a disdainful sneer, I shifted my attention to Yang Yang. "Where have you been wounded?"
Yang Yang lifted her arm, revealing a fresh gash from a blade.
Approaching a fallen guard, I retrieved a knife from his corpse, wiping the lingering blood onto his attire. Then, with a deliberate cut across my own palm, I reached out to grasp Yang Yang's wounded arm.
Yang Yang gasped, her eyes wide with horror as she glanced at the deceased guard. Just as she began to pull away, I tightened my grip, drawing her closer. Glancing back at Lin Nan, I stated clearly, "Rest assured. My blood possesses the power to both harm and heal; its application is purely a matter of my inclination. However, I do not dispense this gift lightly, especially after my own blood was used to save Miss Lin Nan. Ironically, she responded to this kindness with malice, attempting to end my life on numerous occasions thereafter!"
A wave of condemning looks swept towards Lin Nan from the assembled crowd.
Lin Nan, however, remained unfazed, her eyes fixed intently on Yang Yang's injured arm.
Releasing Yang Yang, I watched as she examined her arm with astonishment. She touched the wound with her free hand, then raised it triumphantly. "The wound is gone! It vanished! I'm saved! Nanxing, you're incredible!"
A murmur of surprise rippled through the onlookers as they drew closer.
Suddenly, the whistling sound of an arrow slicing through the air reached my ears. Acting on instinct, I snatched the projectile from its trajectory. Shoving Yang Yang aside, I was propelled backward several steps by the arrow's momentum. A sharp pain coursed through my lower abdomen, igniting a surge of fury. The arrow had pierced my left palm, its shaft now slick with my blood. Without hesitation, I hurled the arrow away.
Uncertain which guard had loosed the shot, my remaining strength was only sufficient to target the nearest assailant.
My swift action clearly surpassed everyone's expectations, including the guard who became my target. He made no attempt to evade as the arrow embedded itself in his shoulder.
His body convulsed, and he collapsed to the ground, twitching. His demise mirrored that of the guard I had incapacitated with my knife.
The crowd recoiled in shock, only to erupt into cheers.
A voice cried out, "Nanxing, you're incredible!"
Placing my right hand upon my abdomen, I inwardly urged, "My child, you must remain strong. We must face this together. We cannot allow these villains to trap us here. Give me the strength... grant me the power to unleash my full potential!"
I turned to face Lin Nan once more. "Miss Lin, my earlier lack of negotiation stemmed from a deficit of leverage. However, I believe you have witnessed sufficient evidence now. Do you still wish to parley with me?"
Lin Nan's outward expression remained unchanged, yet I detected the rigid clenching of her hands at her sides.
A low chuckle escaped my lips as I observed her.
Lin Nan took a measured breath, her tone retaining its gentle cadence. "Nanxing, why insist on escalating this conflict? Your circumstances are unique. Surely, you cannot expect these sisters to face life and death alongside you, can you? What reason do they have to do so?"
That manipulative ploy again!
"Lin Nan, your words hold a certain truth. Why, indeed, do you treat them so? Wen Dian maintains a harem; a fact you likely discovered long ago. You feigned indifference in his presence, yet harbored intentions to extinguish these women's lives behind his back.
"Furthermore, you manipulated Fu He to act on your behalf. Fu He is not without her own cunning; she sought to use my hand to eliminate these rivals. Your scheme ultimately faltered, and now you attempt to shift the blame onto me, accusing me of indifference to their fates. Do you truly believe these women are fools?"
