Chen Nan recovers from his injuries and gratitude for his rescuer, Yun Ying, but hides his identity. He declines her offer to join her sect, Moon River Valley, prioritizing his search for resources and a way back home. He then recognizes the distinctive three mountain peaks from a treasure map.

"Hmph, weren’t you about to leave? You might as well go now," Yun Ying said with puffed cheeks.

Chen Nan chuckled helplessly, "What are you talking about, Female Knight? You should give me a chance to repay your kindness."

"Hehe, with your lack of skills, what could I possibly need from you in return?" Yun Ying raised her head proudly, her excellent sect, and the love of her master and fellow disciples left her with few worries.

Clearly, she had no need for Chen Nan’s repayment.

"That can’t be," Chen Nan knew dealing with such an innocent girl required coaxing, so he smiled and said, "Even a hero needs friends, and I’m willing to be one."

"By the way, Yun Ying, what’s that place over there? Those three mountains look ethereal; is it some sort of treasure land?"

He quickly changed the subject, fearing Yun Ying would not let it drop.

Fortunately, Yun Ying was rather pure and showed no signs of anger, as she glanced in the direction Chen Nan pointed and explained, "Of course, that’s because those are the ’Three Mountains Forbidden Land’ of Moon River Valley, where our ancestors of past dynasties are said to have passed away."

"So amazing? Does that mean I can’t even take a peek at the Immortal Mountains?" Chen Nan feigned disappointment.

Yun Ying shook her head, "Of course not; even the sect leader can’t freely enter the forbidden land."

Chen Nan thought to himself, this is troublesome; he glanced at the three great mountains and squinted slightly.

The three mountains were right in front of him; if his map was correct, he would find ’Taiyin’ within. But from Yun Ying’s words, he realized entering wouldn’t be easy.

Even the sect leader couldn’t casually enter, implying the presence of restrictions around the three mountains.

After some thought, Chen Nan smiled subtly. If he stayed in Moon River Valley, he could slowly find an opportunity.

"Yun Ying, will Moon River Valley really accept a Loose Cultivator like me?"

The Nascent Soul’s eyes suddenly lit up at this, instantly clearing away the previous unhappiness, and she eagerly assured, "Don’t worry, with me around, that’s no problem!"

"I’ll be counting on you then."

"It’s not troublesome at all; you’ll be the youngest junior brother," Yun Ying exclaimed with joy, "Finally, I’m not the youngest!"

While Yun Ying was excited, Chen Nan took the chance to learn a lot and slowly understood the situation in the Inner Sea.

Most cultivators in the Inner Sea were actually unaware of the Outer Sea’s existence; they believed this was the shape of the world, and the Inner and Outer Seas were similarly situated within the Desperate Sea.

However, the Inner Sea had divided the explored regions into different ’domains’, each encompassing vast seas and countless islands, like how the Nine Provinces were demarcated by ’provinces’.

Chen Nan’s Moon River Valley was located within the Star River Domain, right at the domain’s center.

Presumably, this place should be far from the Inner Sea barrier; otherwise, Yun Ying wouldn’t be unaware of its existence, which separates the Inner and Outer Sea!

Chen Nan speculated that his appearance here was due to a space rift caused by disrupting the barrier, throwing him far away.

After getting a general understanding of the situation in the Inner Sea, Chen Nan realized it was no different from the Outer Sea, far from the treasure-filled Immortal Realm described by the Divine Calculator.

"Ah, since I’m here, I might as well settle." Chen Nan sighed silently in his heart; since he couldn’t stay in the East Sea Area of the Outer Sea, whether in the Righteous Alliance or the Demon Sect, he could only venture out.

"Alright, today you’ll go with me to see my master!"

Yun Ying grabbed Chen Nan, ready to leave.

Chen Nan pointed to himself, covered in bandages, some seeping with red stains, and sighed, "You want me to meet your master like this? Shouldn’t I at least change clothes?"

"True, hold on." Yun Ying looked Chen Nan up and down, then searched her storage bag.

When she found Chen Nan, he had nothing on him, so she instinctively thought all his belongings like the storage bag had been stolen.

Little did she know that Chen Nan had placed his storage bag into the Immortal Palace Space, so no one would ever discover it.

After rummaging for a while, Yun Ying embarrassingly stuck out her tongue at Chen Nan, "Sorry, I don’t have men’s clothes, but wait a bit, I’ll get them for you soon."

After speaking, she gracefully flew up to a distant giant tiger’s back, and the tiger sprang into action, speeding away.

After she left, Chen Nan hurriedly took out the treasure map and compared it to the distant ’Three Mountains’; finding their contours identical, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Directly snatching it likely won’t work, Moon River Valley might have Nascent Soul Realm powerhouses; best to take it step by step and hope Taiyin is still there."

The treasure map had been collecting dust in the Ten Thousand Treasures Island warehouse for many years; even if Taiyin was here, it might have been taken already, and investigating this would take time.

Not long after, Yun Ying returned and brought a new set of gray clothes for Chen Nan, made of simple material, with vine patterns sewn at the cuffs.

"These are the clothes for the outer disciples of Moon River Valley; I’m giving you this in advance upon joining."

Chen Nan nodded, returned to the cave to quickly change, and came out freshly cleaned, still slightly weakened but much cleaner.

"Didn’t think you’d look quite nice," Yun Ying said with some surprise, then patted the back behind her, "Hurry and get on."

The giant tiger glanced at Chen Nan, seemingly with a bit of disdain, but Chen Nan didn’t care, lightly leaping onto the tiger’s back, behind Yun Ying.

The giant tiger’s back was very broad, and even with the two sitting on it, it felt not crowded at all.

Mist rose beneath the tiger’s feet; with a big leap, it soared into the sky, flying swiftly toward the distance.

In mid-air, Chen Nan could see clearly; they were on an island, vast, with towns and villages, and the distant ’Three Mountains’ were within a range of the mountain range.

The majestic mountains stretched and occupied about one-tenth of the island, all within Moon River Valley.

Chen Nan’s healing place was in the wild outside a mortal village.

The giant tiger flew low, crossing several meters with each step, and despite being low enough for the ground’s people to see, they remained calm.

Perhaps Yun Ying frequently rode the Flying Tiger out, so no one was surprised.

"How are your injuries?" The tiger tread on clouds as Yun Ying, feeling bored, chatted with Chen Nan.

"I’m alright." Chen Nan smiled; though his internal injuries were severe, his external ones had nearly healed, thanks to his strong recovery power.

"Are you really okay?" Yun Ying inquired with some disbelief, "When I found you, you were nearly dying."

Chen Nan chuckled helplessly, "Rest assure Female Knight, I know a bit about medical skills, naturally aware of my own condition."

"Are you a Medical Cultivator?" The Nascent Soul was surprised, "So, can you do Alchemy?"

Medicine and alchemy were inseparable, so Chen Nan nodded, "Indeed, my alchemy skills aren’t bad."

Yun Ying was delighted, "That’s wonderful! You’re a Medical Cultivator and an Alchemist; coupled with my reputation, joining Moon River Valley will be easy."

Curious about the term ’Medical Cultivator’, Chen Nan learned through inquiry that the Inner Sea had a nuanced categorization of cultivators.

Those who practiced magic were called Magic Cultivators, those who trained with Flying Sword were Sword Cultivators, talisman experts were Talisman Cultivators, adept in medical skills were Medical Cultivators...

Only the titles of Alchemist and Array Master differed.

Due to this detailed categorization of cultivation occupations, cultivators here often excelled in a specific path and refined their skills, though some did practice multiple paths, but rarely.

Such profession-based classifications benefited cultivator growth, knowing which path to strive along, unlike in the Outer Sea and Nine Provinces where everyone was collectively termed ’cultivators’ using a bit of every method.

In this aspect, the Outer Sea’s cultivation system appeared more crude, while the Inner Sea seemed more ’refined’.
