The Human Clan and Demon Clan clash in a brutal battle. Ao Hao transforms into his Jiao Long form, vowing destruction, while Jiang Wuyue unleashes a powerful array. Chen Nan and Divine Calculator join the fray, with Divine Calculator focusing on looting fallen demons and humans. Chen Nan engages an Ape Clan demon, showcasing immense strength and Demon Qi, ultimately defeating it. Zhao Qingxuan and Hua Nongying also display their formidable skills. As Chen Nan dismisses Hua Nongying, a new threat appears when Tu Susu and Yao Li descend.

Chen Nan, of course, noticed Tu Susu and Yao Li, but he didn't approach them.

While the Righteous Alliance and the Demon Sect were currently allied, their relationship would revert to its original state once the Demon Clan was dealt with. Internal conflicts within the Human Clan were an age-old narrative.

Therefore, should Chen Nan openly acknowledge Tu Susu now, it would jeopardize his future standing within the Righteous Alliance and even implicate those close to him.

With a subtle nod to the heavens, he turned his attention to another Great Demon of the Ape Clan, his objective clear.

"Your little lover has arrived, but it seems she's quite the popular figure," Yao Li taunted, fanning the flames of discord.

Tu Susu's expression turned frosty. "Hmph, she overestimates herself."

Below, Hua Nongying was already engaged in combat with the very same Great Demon that Tu Susu had previously subdued. Naturally, she didn't want to see Chen Nan involved with another woman.

Hua Nongying cast a glance at Tu Susu and Yao Li in the sky, her eyes narrowing slightly. "The Witch… is she protecting Jue Mingzi?"

"A forbidden love between the Righteous and the Demon?" Countless story plots flooded her mind, causing her body to tremble intensely, a hint of shyness coloring her face.

"This is so thrilling!"

The Great Demon battling her recoiled in fright upon witnessing her delighted expression. Its face contorted in terror, wondering if she was some kind of deviant.

...

The battle raged on, Chen Nan's arrival proving to be a mere ripple, insufficient to stir any significant waves in the grand conflict.

The truly pivotal clashes were between the Nascent Soul Realm cultivators. At this juncture, the Human Clan held a distinct advantage, compelling the Demon Kings of the Demon Clan to retreat under pressure.

Their defeat seemed all but certain.

"Jiang Wuyue, you falsely claim adherence to the Righteous Path yet collude with the Demon Sect; you are unworthy of being human!"

Ao Hao bellowed furiously, his words almost nonsensical, driven purely by an uncontainable rage.

Jiang Wuyue remained unperturbed, streams of the Power of Laws coalescing in his hand as he struck Ao Hao with immense force, even causing scales to shear off and scatter.

At this critical moment, Ao Hao's colossal form surged skyward, piercing the clouds. From its terrifying maw, a ball of light erupted, radiating a bone-chilling aura.

A closer inspection revealed a heart, belonging to a long-departed soul, trapped within the luminescent sphere.

Ao Hao then spilled his blood upon it, and the desiccated heart rapidly expanded as it absorbed the vital fluid.

In mere moments, the heart, initially fist-sized, ballooned to the dimensions of a dwelling before emitting a single, powerful throb.

An overwhelming force pulsed outward. Jiang Wuyue, as if struck by an unseen blow, turned ashen, coughed up blood, and was flung backward.

"If you do not act now, when will you?!"

Ao Hao's roar echoed towards the heavens. All Demon Clan members who heard his cry were galvanized, ready to fight to their last breath, even if it meant dragging Human Clan cultivators down with them.

Consequently, both the Human and Demon Clans sustained grievous losses, and casualties now included Nascent Soul Realm cultivators.

Jiang Wuyue just managed to steady himself. His gaze was fixed on the heart. As he watched it disintegrate into ashes after its use, a sense of relief washed over him.

It was clear the heart was that of a deceased Demon Clan powerhouse, meticulously refined to retain potency for such dire circumstances.

However, Jiang Wuyue found Ao Hao's final words perplexing. They didn't sound like a general exhortation to the Demon Clan but rather seemed directed at a specific individual.

Before Jiang Wuyue could ponder further, Master Canglan arrived from a distance, his robes adorned with the blood of the Demon Clan, resembling blossoming plum flowers against his white attire.

"Alliance Hierarch, are you unharmed?" he inquired with evident concern.

Jiang Wuyue waved a hand, wiping a trickle of blood from his lips. "I am well. Just a little longer, and these Demon Clan remnants will be annihilated. I shall not fall before then!"

"Excellent."

Standing behind Jiang Wuyue, Master Canglan's expression momentarily turned cold. Just as he prepared to step forward, a sharp chill pierced his chest.

Looking down, he saw a flying sword embedded in him, its surface rippling like water, imbued with a potent layer of the Power of Laws.

Jiang Wuyue recognized the sword as belonging to Master Canglan. He whirled around, his blood-red eyes locking onto Canglan, and forced out three words: "Why?"

Master Canglan appeared utterly deranged, his tranquil facade replaced by a hideous, terrifying visage. "Why? You ask me why?!"

"All of my disciples have perished. Do you dare to claim you did not favor that insignificant brat Jue Mingzi?!"

Jiang Wuyue faltered, a bitter smile gracing his lips. "I should have seen it sooner, but I placed too much trust in you. We've known each other for more than a millennium. This lapse was my own fault."

He grasped the flying sword, allowing the blade to slice his palm as he slowly drew it from his chest.

The Power of Laws infused within the flying sword could not be immediately dispelled, even by him, and it continued to ravage his wound, thwarting any attempt at healing.

This was the retribution of Master Canglan.

"Today, I shall exact vengeance for my fallen disciples!"

Master Canglan clenched his teeth, the Water Law coalescing in his hands, taking the form of an enormous python, its gaping maw ready to engulf Jiang Wuyue entirely.

However, the python's head ballooned outwards as if something was desperately striving to break free, until with a resounding "boom," its head detonated, rapidly dispersing the Power of Laws.

Jiang Wuyue held aloft a Treasure Tower, which radiated waves of terrifying power, undeniably a potent Spiritual Artifact.

As the Hierarch of the Righteous Alliance, it was only natural that he possessed hidden trump cards.

"With this decisive blow, our association is hereby severed!"

Master Canglan, a flicker of fear in his eyes, cast a glance at the Treasure Tower glowing with golden light. He clearly recognized its origin and formidable nature, which instilled a sense of apprehension.

"Haha, Brother Jiang, there's no need for such anger."

Tu Wanshan arrived at that precise moment, a broad smile plastered across his face.

Before Jiang Wuyue's astonished eyes, Master Canglan willingly positioned himself behind Tu Wanshan.

"You… have allied yourself with the Demon Sect?"

His voice grew sharp, for if the first elder of the Righteous Alliance were to defect to the Demon Sect, the news would undoubtedly turn their Righteous Alliance into a laughingstock.

"Brother Jiang, everyone deserves an opportunity for redemption. Master Canglan's choice to join our Demon Sect is indeed a cause for celebration."

"Scoundrel!"

Jiang Wuyue, consumed by fury and a burning hatred, yearned to engage Tu Wanshan in a fight to the death. Yet, the lurking threat of the Demon Clan remained.

For the sake of the Human Clan, he understood that this was not the opportune moment for internal strife. Thus, with resolute determination, he turned and charged once more towards Ao Hao!
