Chen Nan defeats the Horse Demon and acquires the Liaoyuan Fire, a powerful Heaven and Earth Spirit Fire. Meanwhile, the Demon Clan launches a massive invasion of Dragon Fall Island, overwhelming the human cultivators. The Demon Clan's Great Saint, Ao Hao, confronts the leaders of the human forces, Jiang Wuyue and Tu Wanshan. However, Ao Hao's confidence wavers when Jiang Wuyue reveals that their Nascent Soul Realm experts have not been defeated but are hiding, preparing to strike.

Golden runes, like diminutive tadpoles, materialized in the air, shimmering like threads of golden satin and cloaking the entirety of Dragon Fall Island.

An overwhelming presence suddenly descended. Figures erupted from concealed locations across the island, their gazes as sharp as blades, fixed upon the demonic entities in the sky intent on their complete annihilation.

The Demon Clan was stunned to find that the cultivators emerging from the island were unexpectedly the Nascent Soul powerhouses presumed lost in the prior conflict between righteous and demonic forces, alongside a significant host of Golden Core Realm cultivators.

In a mere instant, the number of human cultivators vastly outstripped that of the Demon Clan. The assembled cultivators converged, their collective might surging towards the heavens, causing the previously haughty demons to pale in shock.

They exchanged murmurs, still struggling to comprehend the unfolding events: the resurrection of the deceased, the nature of this site as a mausoleum for human cultivators.

Yet, it now appeared the grave had been prepared for them.

Among the Golden Core cultivators allied with the Righteous Alliance, two individuals stood out distinctly. One was exceedingly handsome and detached, wielding a longsword that emanated an intense chill. Cold air swirled around its blade, coalescing into a flood dragon poised to unleash its might.

The other was adorned in vibrant red, exuding a bright and flamboyant aura, walking barefoot upon the air. With each step, myriad petals bloomed into existence, presenting an image akin to a celestial flower fairy gracing the world, drawing countless admiring gazes.

These two were hailed as the foremost leaders of the younger generation within the Righteous Alliance. The former, named Zhao Qingxuan, and the latter, Hua Nongying, were both renowned contemporary prodigies, having achieved Great Perfection in the Golden Core Realm.

For a considerable period, they had been publicly engaged in closed-door cultivation, absent from the ongoing battles. This has led to Chen Nan himself never having encountered these famed yet elusive prodigies.

It was now clear to many cultivators that these two prodigies had been strategically held in reserve, awaiting this very moment.

The prodigies from the Demon Sect were also formidable contenders. Excluding the absent Xiao Lie, these included the arrogant and malevolent Blood Ash, and the spectral, unwell-looking Fan Wusheng, who brandished a colossal banner.

These two were also at the Great Perfection stage of the Golden Core Realm, their prowess on par with Xiao Lie. Both were lauded as successors of the Demon Sect, with all other Golden Core Realm cultivators of the Demon Sect lending them their allegiance.

In addition to these two, the Demon Sect boasted the presence of the Holy Daughter Tu Susu, and the Hehuan Sect's Holy Daughter Yao Li, both equally gifted women.

Judging by the sheer number of young prodigies, the Righteous Alliance appeared to be at a disadvantage. However, it must be noted that the Righteous Alliance was not a mandatory union, and numerous sects had opted out, leaving many of their prodigies concealed.

The Demon Sect operated differently; no demon cultivator dared to refuse enlistment. Those who attempted to abstain faced pursuit by the Righteous Alliance or execution by the Demon Sect itself.

Consequently, the Demon Sect seemed to hold a clear advantage.

Zhao Qingxuan and Hua Nongying exhibited a degree of unease, their gazes towards Blood Ash and Fan Wusheng crackling with implied animosity.

Having been bitter rivals on the battlefield previously, any present cooperation was unthinkable.

Blood Ash ran his extended tongue across his lips, a wicked grin spreading, his eyes fixing on Zhao Qingxuan with blatant contempt.

"Zhao Qingxuan, you had best not falter, or I shall eliminate you as well!"

Zhao Qingxuan responded with a cold snort, his longsword vibrating. "Tend to your own survival first," he retorted icily, "before you meet your end at my hand only to fall prey to the Demon Clan."

"The same to you," Blood Ash sneered, his voice carrying a chilling edge.

The frail-looking Fan Wusheng remained reticent, his immense banner adorned with depictions of various demons and specters, evoking a scene from the depths of hell and causing one's scalp to prickle.

Merely gazing at it for an extended period felt as though one's very soul might be drawn out.

Their verbal sparring had no impact on the composure of Tu Susu and Yao Li. These two peerless beauties stood on the deck of the flying boat, surveying the assembled masses.

"Susu, do you believe your boyfriend will make an appearance?" Yao Li inquired playfully as she scanned the crowd.

Tu Susu felt a twinge of worry but, having found no sign of Chen Nan, let out a quiet sigh of relief. "It's far too perilous here, why would he come? He has fulfilled all his obligations."

"Oh, so you're already protecting him? Does that mean I'm merely superfluous later on?" Yao Li feigned a mournful expression, placing a hand over her heart.

Tu Susu rolled her eyes. "You truly are superfluous right now."

"What a traitor, but..." Yao Li chuckled mischievously, her tone shifting. "I wager your boyfriend will undoubtedly arrive."

"Ha."

Tu Susu, while wishing for Chen Nan's safety and opposing his presence in danger, nonetheless harbored a flicker of anticipation, her eyes continuously searching the expanse.

The Communication Jade Talisman remained unused. This was due to the potent formations on Dragon Fall Island which effectively isolated all external communication, rendering the jade talisman completely ineffectual.

High in the heavens, the once-arrogant Ao Hao, who had led the Demon Clan to this place, suddenly underwent a drastic change in his demeanor. His gaze sharpened, fixed upon Jiang Wuyue and Tu Wanshan, as his deepest suspicions were confirmed.

"Tu Wanshan! You’ve betrayed me?!"

Tu Wanshan erupted into wild laughter. "Betrayed you? Wasn't it your Demon Clan's intention to annihilate us human cultivators? I am merely returning the favor. How can you call that betrayal?"

Ao Hao's form began to tremble uncontrollably, his feelings a tempest of rage and humiliation. He longed to rip apart those before him, to sate his fury with their very blood.

He finally understood the full extent of the situation. He had believed he was manipulating the Demon Sect, instigating a war between the Righteous Alliance and the Demon Sect, but now he realized they had been aware of his schemes all along.

Furthermore, they had anticipated his move, luring all their Demon Clan powerhouses here, only to set a trap for their complete annihilation.

"Excellent, truly excellent! You humans have not changed, always so treacherous and deceitful. But my Demon Clan will never bow! One day, we shall return!"

Every word Ao Hao uttered was laced with the taste of blood. His eyes, a network of bursting blood vessels, scanned his surroundings before he drew an object from his person. It was a field, transparent and flawless like crystal, radiating a peculiar and potent power.

As peak Nascent Soul Realm experts, both Jiang Wuyue and Tu Wanshan immediately detected the aura emanating from the field. It was undeniably the ripple of the law of space.

"Could this be Luan Kong's feather? Alas, this space is sealed. Even if Luan Kong were alive, he could not escape with you. Did you truly believe the formations were merely for show?"

Luan Kong had been the previous Great Saint of the Demon Clan. His innate divine ability was the exceedingly rare power of space, capable of tearing through the void with a single feather.

However, when Jiang Wuyue and Tu Wanshan had meticulously arranged formations on Dragon Fall Island, they had specifically incorporated void-locking functions, rendering this area impenetrable.

Unwilling to accept defeat, Ao Hao channeled an immense surge of demonic power into the feather. The transparent feather ascended rapidly, and the power of space began to surge, seemingly tearing at the very air.

Alas, as the feather's power gradually dissipated, the space remained as unyielding as ever.

This crushing reality caused the hearts of the entire Demon Clan to sink into despair instantly!
