Chen Jie, Zhao Ya, and Wang Baobao finalize their plan to gather intelligence on the Great Capital and ally with other princes. Wang Baobao departs to begin his part of the mission, leaving Zhao Ya in Chen Jie's care. After some playful banter, Zhao Ya is shown to her room, leaving Chen Jie and Su Yunjin to discuss the arrangements for the household.

Chen Jie embraced Su Yunjin upon hearing her words. Su Yunjin could feel Chen Jie’s deep affection. What she truly valued was this deep affection, not a lifetime of physical pleasure. As long as my husband has me in his heart, I’m content.

Su Yunjin pushed Chen Jie and said, "The Commandery Princess is waiting impatiently. You should go to Sister Huang’s place yourself."

Chen Jie replied, "Just hold on for a little longer."

Su Yunjin said, "Just a little while..."

After a long time, Chen Jie and Su Yunjin reluctantly parted. Su Yunjin tidied her disheveled clothes, gave Chen Jie a reproachful look, then hurried out, her face still slightly flushed.

Chen Jie looked at the time; it should be around one or two in the morning. Would going to Huang Wan’er’s place disturb her sleep?

Chen Jie pondered this as he slowly sat back down on the chair.

After waiting for a while, he saw a group of people enter from outside, led by Huang Wan’er. She was only wearing thin innerwear with a coat draped over it.

Seeing Chen Jie sitting there, she couldn’t help but tease, "Our husband with three wives is drinking alone in the middle of the night. Are the three of us not enough for you?"

Hearing Huang Wan’er’s teasing voice, Chen Jie looked up and, illuminated by the lanterns, saw that Huang Wan’er’s figure was even more enchanting, looking even more enticing.

Huang Wan’er cast a flirtatious glance at Chen Jie and said, "Come, husband, come back with me. Let me help relieve your fatigue."

Chen Jie’s heart stirred as he looked at her and asked, "Why are you here?"

Huang Wan’er replied, "With such a commotion in the middle of the night, how could I sleep? So I woke up to check. On the way, I met Yunjin, who said someone might be here drinking alone, so she asked me to come help that someone relax. Haha, didn’t I just catch you red-handed?"

Chen Jie responded, "Oh, so you were all making fun of me. You’re quite something!"

Huang Wan’er said, "I’m innocent! I’m not making fun of you. But since you haven’t come to my room, I can’t go fight with the First Madam over you, so I’m left alone. Finally, there’s an opportunity tonight. I wonder if I can receive your favor!"

With that, Huang Wan’er simply sat on Chen Jie’s lap.

Chen Jie looked at Huang Wan’er, who exuded a seductive aura, and said, "You’re quite the little enchantress."

"Tonight, you’re in luck!"

...

Here, music and harmony filled the space. Meanwhile, Su Yunjin returned to her room, seeing a somewhat shy Zhao Ya, she said, "Sister Yaya."

"Sister."

Su Yunjin asked, "Hmm, are you satisfied with this room?"

Zhao Ya looked around the room, noting the ambergris incense burning and the ice box (for storing ice to keep cool), making the place feel very comfortable.

"After a long journey, you must be tired. I’ll have the maid bring water for you to wash your feet, then you can rest."

Zhao Ya said, "Thank you, sister."

Su Yunjin replied, "No need for thanks among family. I won’t stay here longer. You should rest well."

Zhao Ya was surprised, "Sister, this is your room. Where are you going?"

Su Yunjin said, "Sister, as a daughter of distinction, how could you share a bed with me? I don’t know about the Prince Mansion’s rooms, but my room is quite comfortable. You sleep here, and we’ll discuss other things later."

With that, Su Yunjin left, not giving Zhao Ya a chance to protest.

Yin Hongmei looked at Su Yunjin and said, "Madam, why are you giving up your room to her?"

Su Yunjin replied, "Although the guest rooms are cleaned regularly, they lack the warmth of inhabitants. The Commandery Princess hasn’t felt at ease living there. My room is very comfortable, so I’ll let her stay here first. Once she’s settled in tomorrow, it’s not too late to move her to a guest room."
