Tuotuo miraculously saves the Demon Slayer Monk using precious Dragon Energy. The Monk's shattered skull baffles doctors, who decide to give him a golden head. Tuotuo asks who attacked the Monk and is shocked to learn it was Chen Jiusi, a figure he had previously dismissed.

Tuotuo pondered, gazing at the Demon Slayer Monk, and inquired, "How is it that he's on Bright Peak, and his cultivation has already reached the Melt God Realm?"

The Demon Slayer Monk gave a slight nod and stated, "He first issued challenges to the Six Great Sects, defeating them and rendering them powerless. Following that, we engaged in another significant battle within the Ming King Hall..."

Enduring the pain, the Demon Slayer Monk recounted the events. Tuotuo's expression grew somber; this situation was quite vexing, and this Chen Jiusi was undeniably not an ordinary individual.

With this realization, Tuotuo gestured and commanded, "Take him away and ensure he receives treatment."

Upon hearing this, the physicians, who had already convened to discuss the healing strategy, all nodded in agreement, assuring, "We have a method."

Tuotuo then rose to his feet and immediately instructed the attendant beside him, "Commence an immediate investigation. I require all intelligence concerning Chen Jiusi."

The subordinate promptly responded, "Understood, my Lord."

As his subordinates departed, Tuotuo's gaze intensified, growing colder, and he muttered, "Chen Jiusi, I truly never anticipated that at this juncture, someone like you would emerge to shatter my meticulously laid plans!"

Witnessing this, the subordinate inquired, "Prime Minister, what shall be our course of action moving forward?"

Tuotuo replied, "We wait! This matter is far from concluded!"

...

At this very moment, within the Ming King Hall, the Little Ming King was forcefully positioned upright. Observing the cult members gradually congregating in the square, Han Ling’er, standing beside him, prompted, "Brother, say something."

The Little Ming King stammered, "Me, what am I supposed to say?"

Han Ling’er urged, "Say something to steady the hearts of the people."

The Little Ming King cleared his throat and agreed, "Cough, cough, very well then."

With that declaration, the Little Ming King composed himself. Han Ling’er immediately bounded onto the platform and announced, "Everyone, please maintain silence, settle down!"

"The Ming King has an important message to deliver."

At this juncture, the Little Ming King ascended the platform and addressed the assembled crowd, "Esteemed cult members, please be at ease. Thanks to our collective efforts and after a fierce engagement, we have finally vanquished the infiltrators who sought to undermine Bright Peak."

"Now that all are secure, you may cast aside your anxieties..."

As the Little Ming King concluded his speech, the crowd erupted in resounding cheers, viewing him as their true savior.

Observing this scene, Du Xiong let out a disdainful scoff, remarking, "Mere jumping clowns and yelping curs."

Chen Jie, seated beside Du Xiong, inquired, "You appear to hold Han Ling’er in low regard?"

Du Xiong retorted, "From his youth, he has been weak and timid, completely lacking in fortitude. Whenever he found himself in trouble, it was invariably his sister, Han Ling’er, who had to shoulder the burden. The position of sect leader would have been far better suited to Han Ling’er than to him."

Du Xiong spoke with utter contempt.

"Without a capable father, he wouldn't merit a second glance."

Seeing Du Xiong's stance, Chen Jie countered, "Is having a distinguished father not his greatest advantage?"

Du Xiong regarded Chen Jie, who continued, "Life grants no one an equal start. Some are born with advantages you might strive an entire lifetime to attain, or perhaps never achieve. Therefore, possessing a powerful father, is that not sufficient?"

Du Xiong desired to retort but found himself without adequate words, as Chen Jie's assertion struck precisely true.

Gazing at Du Xiong, Chen Jie advised, "So refrain from complaining; a true man does not lament his humble origins."

"A genuine man can achieve anything through his own endeavors. While having a formidable father holds significance, accomplishing feats through one's own efforts is ultimately more gratifying, wouldn't you agree?"

Looking towards Du Xiong, Chen Jie then posed the question, "So, have you given it due consideration? Will you choose to align with me and embrace the path of a true man?"

Upon hearing this, Du Xiong regarded Chen Jie and declared, "I shall follow you!"

Chen Jie heard his assent and a subtle smile graced his lips. Excellent, another competent individual successfully recruited. This Du Xiong possesses considerable strength, albeit a bit simple-minded, but under my guidance, he is bound to achieve great things.

This expedition to Bright Peak has indeed proven fruitful!

Chen Jie mused!
