Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey! Chapter 1769 - 411: Zhu Rong Divine Fire Palm, the Ultimate Strike Against the Demon Slayer Monk
Previously on Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!...
The might of Zhu Rong’s Divine Fire radiated completely from Chen Jie. At this juncture, the Zhu Rong statue standing behind him appeared more imposing than ever before, its eyes flickering with the vibrancy of flames. It no longer seemed like a mere martial arts illusion, lacking substance; one could readily discern it was solidified with Gang Qi.
Upon re-entering the Melt God Realm and summoning Zhu Rong’s statue once again, a spark of sentience could be observed within its eyes.
Instantly, this flicker of awareness breathed life into the statue, transforming it from a mere phantom into a divine being, as if Zhu Rong himself had been resurrected.
At this very moment, the manifested statue of Zhu Rong behind Chen Jie showcased the terrifying Zhu Rong Divine Fire erupting skyward from its form.
The current iteration of Chen Jie’s Zhu Rong statue was profoundly different from the one initially formed.
The prior statue possessed a more illusory quality, its aura more ethereal and unstable.
However, through Chen Jie’s unyielding dedication and continuous absorption of potent external flames to enhance the statue, it now exuded a more divine and authentic presence.
Before him, this Zhu Rong statue took the form of a bare-chested giant, each hand clutching a Serpent of Fire. The serpent in its left hand was orange-red, having absorbed the flames emanating from the Fire Essence Beast found within the Ruins.
The other serpent was dark red, imbued with the flames of the Phoenix True Fire from Han Miaozhen.
Furthermore, Zhu Rong’s hair now resembled blue flames. Indeed, these flames represented the power of the divine beast Bi Fang, channeled by Chen Jie’s close comrade, Feng Hongyuan of Wushan.
Throughout his journey, Chen Jie had assimilated countless flame powers to nurture Zhu Rong, culminating in the extraordinary appearance of the Zhu Rong statue today.
Now, with the Zhu Rong statue positioned behind him, Chen Jie seemed exceptionally potent and majestic.
Witnessing Chen Jie in this state, the Demon Slayer Monk immediately grew apprehensive, realizing the necessity of deploying his utmost capabilities. Otherwise, not only would he fail to vanquish Chen Jie, but he risked suffering a crushing defeat.
With this stark realization, the Demon Slayer Monk’s brow furrowed, and he swiftly unleashed the Dragon Elephant Wisdom, summoning ten dragons and ten elephants in his wake. As the combined might of these ten dragons and ten elephants coalesced, a Buddhist effigy began to materialize behind him.
The Buddha was clad in a multicolored kasaya, bedecked with jewels and a crown, radiating a solemn aura. It held a precious jewel and a staff, presenting the form of a Bodhisattva.
Beneath it resided a creature, neither wholly tiger nor dog, possessing a tiger's head, a single horn, canine ears, a serpentine body, a lion's tail, and the feet of a Qilin, all enveloped in swirling, black, flame-like clouds.
Indeed, this was the legendary Spiritual Divine Beast, renowned as the world's ultimate listener, capable of discerning truth from falsehood – the Listener.
Observing the Bodhisattva, it was clear this was the revered Womb of the Earth Bodhisattva, one of the principal deities worshipped by the Esoteric Sect.
The form of the Womb of the Earth Bodhisattva solidified behind the Demon Slayer Monk. At this instant, the Demon Slayer Monk's aura surged, appearing to rival Chen Jie's Zhu Rong statue on equal footing.
Seeing this development, Chen Jie knitted his brows, understanding that with his current strength alone, defeating the Demon Slayer Monk was improbable. Consequently, Chen Jie decisively activated another technique, shouting with fierce intensity, "Winter God’s Fury, open!"
Within Chen Jie’s Four Seasons Celestial Phenomenon Technique, the Winter Skill lacked a supporting circle. Activating the Winter Skill at this moment proved exceptionally taxing, allowing him to muster merely half of its intended power.
This represented the Martial Arts Illusion of the Winter God, Xuanming. Chen Jie could only summon its head, incapable of unleashing the full might of this supreme deity.
However, Chen Jie did not require the Winter God’s complete power; he merely needed to augment his present state with a portion of its essence.
Thus, Chen Jie proceeded to directly absorb the power of Winter God Xuanming. Instantly, the Zhu Rong statue behind him ascended to a new level, growing in stature, and the flames adorning its form became more substantial.
Chen Jie then launched a direct palm strike at the Demon Slayer Monk.
"Zhu Rong Divine Fire Palm!"
With a resounding detonation, Chen Jie unleashed a Zhu Rong Divine Fire Palm. Simultaneously, the Demon Slayer Monk exerted his full strength, striking back with a palm technique known as the [Earth Store Lion Seal].
Amidst a deafening roar, Chen Jie’s Zhu Rong Divine Fire Palm collided fiercely with the Demon Slayer Monk’s Earth Store Lion Seal.
Boom!
Explosions reverberated outwards, and with the ferocity of these blasts, the roof tiles of the Ming King Hall were completely annihilated, exposing the solid structural beams within.
At this critical moment, both Chen Jie and the Demon Slayer Monk were violently propelled backward by the sheer force of the cataclysmic explosion.
With a thunderous crash, the two combatants plummeted heavily to the ground.
Both individuals, however, swiftly regained their composure. Chen Jie stood with tattered robes, his eyes burning crimson, as flames enveloped him. Across from him, the Demon Slayer Monk was no less disheveled; his kasaya hung in shreds, his Buddhist Golden Body shattered, and he coughed up a significant amount of blood, his face ashen. Witnessing the Monk’s condition, Chen Jie sneered, remarking, "I had assumed you were as unyielding as a Vajra!" "*Cough cough..." The Demon Slayer Monk dabbed at the blood trickling from his lips, his gaze fixed on Chen Jie. "Chen Jiusi, I concede that your Four Seasons Celestial Phenomenon Technique is potent. However, that last palm strike clearly drained you considerably. Could you possibly muster another?" Chen Jie responded with a broad grin, "Haha, perhaps I lack the strength for another palm, but would you truly dare to face it if I could?" The Demon Slayer Monk rasped, "*Cough cough, I certainly couldn't endure your next blow. Yet, I wager you are incapable of delivering a second." Chen Jie countered, "And what if I were perfectly capable of striking again?"
