Da Xuan Martial Saint Chapter 1499 - 720: Time Illusion Realm

The Source Realm.
A vibrant, seven-colored radiance bathed the world, filling the entire domain with an exuberant aura of life. Lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see, giving the impression of a peaceful realm teeming with resources.
In truth, however, this specific region within the Source Realm was unfathomably dangerous. Known as the Time Illusion Realm, it was a place that countless Divine Monarchs across the Universe feared to enter.
The domain lived up to its reputation.
The Time Illusion Realm was saturated with the chaotic energies of time and space. Within the Universe, the Power of Time is regarded as one of the most difficult forces to master. Among those who reach the rank of Divine Monarch, perhaps only one in a hundred does so by following the Path of Time.
Consequently, very few Divine Monarchs possess the ability to adapt to the Time Illusion Realm. Furthermore, entry into the Source Realm via the Mysterious Gate is entirely random; one cannot select their destination. This resulted in a frustrating situation where the domain was mostly populated by Divine Monarchs of the Creation and Void Lineages, while those of the Time Lineage were rarely seen.
Within the depths of a thick, verdant forest,
a small group of about a dozen individuals moved forward with extreme caution.
This allied team was composed entirely of Divine Monarchs at the Nine Layer Heavens Perfection.
"The Time Illusion Realm..."
The Master of Nanhua frowned, a sense of depression weighing on his heart.
Since departing from the Nanhua Void, he had cultivated within the Primordial Domain. Having attained the Nine Layer Heavens Perfection Realm, he had already ventured into the Source Realm on two previous occasions. During those first two attempts, he was lucky enough to land in relatively stable domains and began to establish himself, only to lose those opportunities during the chaos of intense conflicts.
This marked his third journey into the Source Realm, and his final chance to enter without cost. He had not expected to be dropped into the notoriously difficult and treacherous Time Illusion Realm.
The domain was considered tricky primarily because it lacked permanent cities or established settlements where one could find refuge.
Additionally,
maintaining a stable team in this environment was nearly impossible.
The logic was straightforward: the area was riddled with chaotic Lights of Time. Contact with these lights would trigger a temporal dislocation, forcibly shifting a person to a different point in time. These temporal shifts were almost impossible to fight against. Only a Divine Monarch of the Nine Layer Heavens Perfection who practiced the Time Dao could offer any resistance, and even then, it was minimal. No one else stood a chance.
In the span of just over a hundred Boundary Years spent here, the Master of Nanhua had been forced to switch groups seven or eight times. Each time, temporal dislocations had torn his team apart, leaving him to search for new allies amidst the temporal chaos.
Only elite organizations like the Time Temple, which boasted experts of the Time Lineage at the Nine Layer Heavens Perfection, could manage to keep a team together. Most other factions found themselves constantly scattered.
This instability bred deep-seated suspicion among these temporary alliances.
Should danger arise, these groups would often dissolve instantly.
Furthermore,
if one was unlucky enough to encounter an enemy immediately following a temporal dislocation, the consequences were often dire.
The Divine Monarch of Nanhua let out a silent sigh. Despite the risks, this was a vital opportunity for training within the Source Realm; he couldn't simply quit. Even if the Time Illusion Realm was a headache, he had to find a way to endure.
The rest of the group shared the Divine Monarch of Nanhua’s tension, their eyes scanning the surroundings with vigilance.
Suddenly,
the expression of one cultivator shifted. He yelled, "Watch out!"
As the warning left his lips, a thunderous roar shook the forest. A massive bear, standing several meters tall with thick, silvery-gray fur, crashed through the trees. Rising onto its hind legs, the beast swung a razor-sharp claw. As it tore through the air toward the group, a visible claw mark manifested across the sky!
While the space-time of the Time Illusion Realm is chaotic, it possesses a unique trait: the suppression of space and time is weaker here than in other domains. Though Divine Monarchs are still limited, they still wield enough Cultivation to move mountains and drain seas. This was a double-edged sword, however; if the Divine Monarchs could exert such power, the local exotic beasts could do the same!
"Attack!"
The dozen Divine Monarchs remained composed as the giant beast appeared. Their first instinct was to gauge the creature's aura and strength. Once they determined it was not an overwhelming threat—roughly equivalent to the Single Vein Perfection level—they launched a coordinated assault, unleashing various techniques from every angle.
Had the beast possessed high-grade Primordial Power or the strength of a Three Veins Perfection expert, they would have fled instantly. Against a Double Vein Perfection opponent, they would have fought a defensive retreat. However, a Single Vein Perfection beast was a viable target, and they were confident that their combined might could bring it down.
In the Time Illusion Realm, slain exotic beasts leave behind Time Illusion True Cores. These items, when refined, significantly boost a cultivator's grasp of the Great Dao of Time for a limited duration. Even though the majority of the group followed the Creation or Void Lineages, they were already at the Single Vein Perfection stage. To grow stronger, they needed to either ascend to the rank of Venerable or broaden their understanding of other Great Daos. Thus, these Time Illusion True Cores were highly sought-after resources.
In fact,
