Kay opted to remain in a corner, holding Lily close as she awaited the resolution of the fools' dispute. Initially, her intention was to assist with the unpacking of the artifacts, yet the moment she voiced this, the argument intensified. They were unable to reach a consensus on whether it was superior to arrange all the equipment downstairs for enhanced safety, despite the fact that the wards would ultimately be positioned above, or to keep everything upstairs where ample space and clear divisions would permit dedicated workstations for each individual.

Now, this entire matter was entangled in the same debate regarding which option would be more advantageous, which would entail more or less labor, and honestly? It appeared no one could agree on either point. Even after they had surveyed the basement area, it apparently hadn't brought any greater clarity to their deliberations. It was rather vexing, and Kay genuinely wished to tell them to cease their foolishness... but it wasn't as though she possessed any knowledge of enchanting. She had no clue which course of action was the superior one or how to advocate for either side... besides, this situation did afford her the opportunity to cuddle Lily.
