D.E.M.O.N.S: Getting Summoned Weekly isn't so Bad Chapter 2125 Green Your Eats
Green ---
It had to be an inability to run away right? At this point Green didn’t know what else it could be. She’d gone to sleep and told Timmy to wake her up after an hour had passed or the people below her looked to be in trouble... and it seemed like that hour had passed. The two familiar had upped their game massively, and proved that it was indeed a ’last attack’ type deal, or something close to it.
The two canines were standing some distance away, and would kick a rock at the golem just as it was about to reach the other one. It would then attack, turn around, and rush to the one that had thrown the rock... only for the cycle to repeat once again. It wasn’t like the rocks were doing any damage when Long’s sword continued to fail at the same. Not that Shoal seemed to be doing any better. She was still running in circles and while she looked fed up and annoyed, she didn’t really look tired. Apparently she’d managed to work out how to dodge efficiently enough for the stamina cost to even out.
Long just seemed to not care. He was still going at it. He was now slamming the pommel of his sword into various spots on the golem, apparently deciding that using it like a makeshift mace was an acceptable idea. Weirder, he wasn’t just holding it by the handle, he was using the sword edge itself. Sure he had metal gauntlets on but surely that wasn’t the best way? Then again with all the enchantments perhaps on it, perhaps there was one specifically for this.
It did seem to do damage to the golems. For a given definition of damage. When it impacted, the pommel exploded, denting the golem slightly. It was progress... for about three seconds. After that, the golems started to heal up and it wasn’t like a slight dent was slowing them down at all.
Green shifted her position a bit and ran through a mental list of all the equipment she picked up. One of which, was a rust grenade. Knowing the golems existed and were potential targets made it more appealing...
But she really had no idea if it was strong enough and helping these two seemed like a bad idea. *
"Timmy, can you scour the building below me for food, put everything else you moved along the way back, and then return to me?" asked Green.
Timmy vanished at the command and Green settled in to wait for a bit. Keeping an ear out for any loud noises below her. She didn’t exactly ask Timmy to keep quiet but she was hoping that Timmy wasn’t going to be too loud. After about a minute where nothing below her was knocked over, Green turned her attention back to the fight and... did Long just try to BITE the golem? That man was crazy...
In the end, it took ten minutes for Timmy to make it back to the roof and there was food. Technically. Green sighed as she looked at the remains of what was once probably a fruit. There were also some packaged things that were now just mould. The box of biscuits... seemed fine. At a glance anyway. Green was scared to open it lest she be tempted to eat whatever was inside. Especially when she couldn’t smell anything from the box. Even just looking at it, whispers of ’it can’t be that bad’ and ’you are kinda hungry’ were running around her head but she was NOT in fact that hungry. "Return those to where they were please,"
Timmy vanished once again and Green sighed. *
