Li Shiming introduces Li Taibai, a new Great Power cultivator specializing in thunder, to the Ten Thousand Beast Sect. Grandmaster Hu is thrilled by the sect's growing influence. Li Taibai's arrival boosts the morale and cohesion of the sect's thunder cultivators, who now have an 'ancestor' figure. Meanwhile, Li Shiming prepares to refine the legendary 'Flying Night Demon' corpse, gathering rare materials and crafting necessary runes within the Thunder Prison.

According to the physical strength of Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body, IBMz15 produced an analytical conclusion: this body could withstand at most six hundred billion "Refining Corpse Runes."

But to draw six hundred billion "Refining Corpse Runes," even with Li Shiming’s hundred and ninety-one brains, the time and effort required would still be utterly astonishing.

So he needed a more efficient method of drawing "Refining Corpse Runes," one that could drastically shorten the rune-drawing time.

Li Shiming had IBMz15 search through the vast mass of classics for the most suitable Cultivation Technique; he had roamed the Cultivation World for so many years and had acquired uncountable techniques.

His collection of texts surpassed that of any superpower, and even spanned multiple Cultivation Lands.

IBMz15 found a God Cultivation Technique called the "Thousand-Handed Guanyin Visualization Record."

The "Thousand-Handed Guanyin Visualization Record" was a Buddhist visualization method, and its effect was rather strange: it turned oneself into a thousand Spirit avatars.

In the Cultivation World, there were many methods for splitting the Spirit, but the Spirit after division would be much weaker; doing some mundane tasks was no problem, yet it could not handle situations that required finely controlled manipulation of energy.

For example, the "Ten Thousand Sword Volley" in the Sky-Surging Sword Intent Technique could even control the attacks of each flying sword among ten thousand swords; because it did not require extremely fine control, this was still achievable.

But to split the Spirit into many portions, and have each portion draw or engrave runes, that was impossible.

This referred to other Cultivators, but after Li Shiming advanced to Great Power, each of his hundred and ninety-one Spirits had reached an extremely high level within the Great Power Realm.

Although he could not achieve splitting one Spirit into ten thousand while still finely manipulating energy, splitting one Spirit into a thousand and still performing fine control was something he could do.

The "Thousand-Handed Guanyin Visualization Record" was precisely a God Cultivation Technique that divided the Spirit into a thousand parts, and was the top existence among such techniques.

Li Shiming mobilized a hundred brains, and after division via the "Thousand-Handed Guanyin Visualization Record," it was equivalent to simultaneously drawing a hundred thousand "Refining Corpse Runes."

Of course, if he relied solely on himself, even with the "Thousand-Handed Guanyin Visualization Record" he could not accomplish this; he still needed the cooperation of IBMz15.

With IBMz15’s assistance, according to the design plan, he carried out the drawing of "Refining Corpse Runes" on Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body within the server-room space.

Even drawing a hundred thousand "Refining Corpse Runes" at the same time, it still took forty days to finish the work of drawing six hundred billion "Refining Corpse Runes."

Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body was completely covered with densely packed "Refining Corpse Runes." Because these "Refining Corpse Runes" were extremely tiny, the flesh body appeared faintly red.

Li Shiming carefully moved Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body out of the server-room space and placed it inside the Corpse Refining Array.

He activated the Corpse Refining Array; after gathering energy for such a long time, the array was filled with Yin Cold Energy.

This Yin Cold Energy, influenced by the Fifth Grade Corpse Refining Material at the Half-step Fifth Grade level, had acquired Half-step Fifth Grade quality.

And the "Refining Corpse Runes" on the skin of Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body were drawn with talismanic ink made mainly from the blood within Great Power Leng Luo’s corpse; its quality was of fifth-grade quality.

This talismanic ink was Li Shiming’s original creation, unique even in the Cultivation World.

By using a Great Power’s blood, supplemented with some other materials and refining it into talismanic ink, he replaced the talismanic ink traditionally made from fifth-grade corpse refining blood; the energy conversion involved here had consumed a great deal of IBMz15’s time in research.

As the Yin Cold Energy was absorbed by Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body, the six hundred billion "Refining Corpse Runes" on its surface began to glow; this signified that the "Refining Corpse Runes" had been activated.

As time passed little by little, Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body was undergoing a qualitative transformation, turning from a corpse into a refined corpse—a type of Undead Life.

Meanwhile, the Rules originally contained within Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body were being reactivated one by one by the "Refining Corpse Runes," becoming sources of power for the refined corpse.

The first to appear within the refined corpse’s body were the "Power Rule Runes"; these were not "Power Rule Imprints," but complete "Rule Runes" that would only appear inside a Great Power’s body.

After the "Power Rule Runes" came the "Defense Rule Runes," and finally the "Speed Rule Runes"; this process consumed the energy of ten million "Refining Corpse Runes."

Then appeared the "Thunder Rule Runes" and "Space Rule Runes"; the "Thunder Rule Runes" consumed the energy of forty million "Refining Corpse Runes," while the "Space Rule Runes" consumed the energy of ten million "Refining Corpse Runes."

Yet Great Power Leng Luo’s flesh body did not undergo the kind of mutation he had seen in previous refinements, where the corpse would transform; after completing its final metamorphosis, this Great Power flesh body still maintained a human form, without any visible change.

Even the fangs and sharp nails that a refined corpse should normally develop did not grow out.

This made the refined corpse look no different from an ordinary human, but Li Shiming could sense that energy was gathering behind the refined corpse’s back.

A pair of black wings appeared on the refined corpse’s back, pure black, making the pair of wings seem extremely eerie.

The black wings were a fusion of Spatial Energy, Thunder Energy, and Yin Cold Energy; in Li Shiming’s perception, this pair of black wings was not material, but an energy construct manifesting in tangible form.

"This should be the true ’Flying Night Demon’!" A realization flashed through Li Shiming’s mind when he saw the refined corpse with black wings.

At this moment, the six hundred billion "Refining Corpse Runes" on the Flying Night Demon’s skin all vanished, and the "Power Rule Runes," "Defense Rule Runes," "Speed Rule Runes," "Thunder Rule Runes," and "Space Rule Runes" it had nurtured all resided within the golden Soul Fire inside its body.

And the Flying Night Demon’s Soul Fire was somewhat special—its Soul Fire was golden.

Just as Li Shiming was observing the Flying Night Demon, a vast might of heaven and earth was gathering in the sky.

Li Shiming couldn’t help but pat his own head; he had almost delayed a major matter.

A Heavenly Strike Thunder Hammer appeared in his hand, and a Thunder Resistance Secret Method empowered by the Shenxiao Thunder Pearl’s might was applied onto the Flying Night Demon’s body.

The Flying Night Demon let out a sharp howl toward the sky; it seemed extremely furious at being rejected by heaven and earth.

Li Shiming hastily calmed it down; if it truly angered heaven and earth, the power of the Heavenly Tribulation would be unbearable.

Thunderclouds appeared in the sky, with lightning rolling within them.

Heavenly Thunder fell, striking the Flying Night Demon’s body.

The Heavenly Thunder attacks borne by the Flying Night Demon inflicted double the normal damage due to attribute restraint.

The Thunder Resistance Secret Method released by Li Shiming weakened the Heavenly Thunder’s power, but the Flying Night Demon was still suffering badly.

Bolt after bolt of Heavenly Thunder descended, and at this point, even if he wanted to help, he had no way to intervene.

This was Great Ability Level Heavenly Thunder; even if he used all his defensive methods, he still could not withstand the Heavenly Thunder’s bombardment.

At first, the Flying Night Demon only used its body to block the first few Heavenly Thunder strikes; its bodily defensive power was astonishingly high, and even with the innate attribute suppression, the Flying Night Demon did not suffer much damage.

The next few bolts of Heavenly Thunder, however, each inflicted injuries on the Flying Night Demon, with every subsequent bolt causing more severe harm than the previous one.

By the eighth Heavenly Thunder, the Flying Night Demon’s whole body was charred black, yet its recovery ability was horrifyingly strong, and the damage it had suffered was rapidly regenerating.

The only part of it that remained unaffected was the pair of black wings on its back.

Just as the ninth Heavenly Thunder was about to fall, the Flying Night Demon sensed the crisis of death.

The Flying Night Demon let out a roar, its entire musculature contracting, its skin tightening; its whole body turned from a normal color to a bronze hue.

Its eyelids vanished, forming a pair of round, blood-red eyes.

Its teeth and nails grew out, forming fangs and sharp claws, and its hair thickened, writhing like countless venomous snakes.

The black wings on its back expanded several times over, making its muscle-contracted body look even more gaunt.

In this form, the Flying Night Demon had completely transformed into a different, inhuman shape; it once again howled in fury toward the thunderclouds in the sky.
