Blue Star

The tip of the Slaying God Spear struck Kong Yan’s head, drawing a drop of blood on Bodhisattva Kongyan’s forehead, as if a third eye had been opened. However, Bodhisattva Kongyan was enveloped by a golden aura, and his injuries vanished swiftly. His eyes blazed with divine light as he quickly scanned for Lin Jiang’s location.

Lin Jiang, cloaked in golden light, had once again disappeared from sight. At that very moment, he was concealed within a cloud, desperately downing a healing potion. Kong Yan’s previous strike had obliterated all seven layers of his supreme armor and fractured more than half his bones. Thus, after consuming the healing potion, Lin Jiang felt the restorative energy surge through his body, rapidly mending the shattered bones.

Lin Jiang’s gaze swept over the chaotic battlefield. Both the Buddhist cultivators and their adversaries had suffered immense casualties, their numbers significantly diminished. The Buddhist cultivators still maintained a tactical advantage, but this lead was perceptibly shrinking as Blue Star’s elite warriors began to return to the fray one by one.

He also observed the Demon Queen. After entrusting the Kuiniu Drum to another Demon King, she had personally entered the battle. Though she managed to engage three Bodhisattvas simultaneously, she was being severely battered, with nearly all her magnificent feathers torn away.

Witnessing this, Lin Jiang swiftly readied the Sagittarius Bow and invoked the Lamp Burning Technique, unleashing a spiritual energy arrow at one of the Bodhisattvas.

It wasn't a physical arrow, but one conjured from pure spiritual energy. Yet, it blazed with destructive power as it tore through the heavens, striking a Bodhisattva with pinpoint accuracy.

"Boom"

An explosion of light erupted around the Bodhisattva, momentarily blinding all. Golden blood cascaded downwards as the Demon Queen seized the sudden opening. Disregarding the assaults from the other two Bodhisattvas, she ferociously tore the targeted Bodhisattva asunder. The rain of golden blood bathed the Demon Queen, transforming her into a horrifying spectacle resembling a demon god.

In that instant, Lin Jiang felt an exhilarating surge, recognizing his profound aptitude for wielding ranged weapons like cold spears and arrows.

"Whoosh"

The very next moment, Lin Jiang vanished from his position as Kong Yan’s divine awareness located him.

On Cape III Planet, several warships lay in ruins, crash-landed and smoldering. The flames, however, were quickly extinguished by the absence of atmospheric oxygen. The surface of Cape III Planet appeared stained with a grim layer of blood, a mixture of fallen cultivators from both sides. The Buddhist cultivators from the three Sea-crossing Arks had been almost entirely annihilated, having confronted the formidable Space Fleet of the Blue Star human race, which fielded five complete battle formations.

Within a colossal Space Mother Ship, Shiyi barked orders frantically while continuously consuming medicinal pills. One of his legs was entirely gone, having vanished without a trace. A new limb was already beginning to regenerate, the process agonizing, yet Shiyi paid it no mind.

High above, Zhou Yuan was engaged in a fierce battle against three Bodhisattvas. Zhou Yuan, having ascended to the Transmigration Stage less than a century prior, was the fourth such cultivator from Huaxia and the youngest in this rarefied stage.

"Old Zhou, hang in there!"

"Hurry and finish those Arhats and Guardians!"

Shiyi bellowed, his voice strained. The lower-ranking Buddhist cultivators had been largely eradicated, leaving only those of the Vajra level and above, their numbers now critically few. However, the Blue Star forces had also paid a terrible price. One Space Mother Ship sustained severe damage, exceeding thirty percent destruction, rendering it largely inoperable. Twenty-six Space Battleships were obliterated, and advanced combat robots, including the latest Gundam models, were almost completely lost. The Cape III survival base was also devastated, and the tally of wounded and deceased cultivators was impossible to ascertain immediately.

"Brother Shi, Brother Shi! Cape I Planet cannot hold much longer; only Ancestor Cao is keeping them at bay!"

"What is the situation?"

"Cape One is merely a transit point with minimal garrison forces; it's on the verge of falling."

"Is the teleportation array still operational?"

"Yes!"

"Quick, dispatch troops to reinforce Cape One! The Space Fleet can afford to send back three vessels; we don't require so many here."

Shiyi stated, realizing that only a few dozen Buddhist cultivators remained, and their warships were performing poorly. In fact, their sheer numbers were starting to make maneuvering clumsy. "Prepare the remaining warships for self-destruction. Even in defeat, we must drag these stubborn fools down with us," Shiyi declared with fierce determination. Many warships had depleted their energy reserves, functioning solely on emergency propulsion, but they remained formidable weapons, representing their final, desperate gambit.

Cape I Planet.

While Cao Ying and the Shenwu Demon Emperor battled fiercely in the heavens alongside other formidable experts, the ground below was engulfed in a brutal conflict, with the Blue Star forces facing a severe disadvantage.

Cape One, not being a primary strategic location, had a limited number of stationed forces prior to the conflict. The main military contingent was deployed at Cape III, which served as the designated primary theater of operations.

Typically, the complement at Cape One comprised approximately one hundred engineers, supported by the equivalent of two squadrons of guard troops, totaling less than two thousand individuals. The initial wave of attacks from the Buddhist cultivators resulted in the loss of thirty percent of their robotic units.

Had Cao Ying and her contingency not arrived to provide timely aid, their forces would have been annihilated within a mere half-day.

Nevertheless, at this very moment, they found themselves in an utterly precarious position. The survival base on Cape I Planet had largely fallen, and their desperate efforts were focused on defending the section containing the teleportation array.

"Where are the reinforcements? Why has no one arrived yet?"

"Hurry!"

A wounded cultivator near the central hub of the teleportation array cried out in anguish. When the battle initially erupted, the teleportation array had activated repeatedly, bringing forth numerous allies. However, half a day had passed without any further arrivals.

"Cease your shouting! Focus on defending. If those alien invaders breach our defenses, we shall meet our demise with honor."

An officer, incapacitated with a broken leg, dragged a crate forward. Prying it open, he revealed high-energy bombs. He distributed these explosives to the wounded soldiers, retaining one for himself while offering words of grim encouragement. The injured fell into a somber silence; a young cultivator was weeping quietly, yet no one mocked his distress.

The percussive sounds of spear cannons and the din of combat persisted. Gradually, more wounded personnel, including several cultivators of the Soul Changing level who were gravely injured and unconscious, were brought in. Their survival was uncertain.

"They are approaching! The enemy is closing in!"

As the intensity of the battle escalated, a palpable sense of dread washed over everyone. Some of the gravely wounded had already positioned their hands over the detonators of energy bombs, prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice at any moment.

"Thud"

At that precise instant, the teleportation array suddenly illuminated, drawing the attention of all present. To the assembled crowd, three hundred figures materialized within the teleportation array, representing the maximum capacity for a single deployment.

"Disperse into battle formations, engage freely!"

"Spread out, spread out!"

The commanding officer issued a swift order, and over two hundred individuals immediately advanced to the front lines. Subsequently, several others unleashed thousands of personnel from their personal storage artifacts.

These storage artifacts remained the most prized possessions of Blue Star, with ownership limited to a select few individuals. The majority were designated for official military use.

"Go!"

Several individuals equipped with storage artifacts departed once more. They were tasked with making an additional two trips to transport more personnel. A contingent of smaller Space Battleships would also need to be conveyed. The colossal Space Mother Ship was simply unfeasible; its immense size precluded transportation, and its inability to occupy overlapping spatial dimensions prevented its deployment.

"Brothers and sisters, quickly take these medicines."

Among the newly arrived contingent were Alchemists, who primarily managed logistical support on the battlefield and were responsible for the distribution of potent healing potions. The provisions dispatched from Cape III were abundant, including these invaluable restorative elixirs.

"I feel as though I can fight once more."

Shortly after ingesting the potions, some of the injured soldiers expressed renewed vigor and returned to the fray.

Even those sustaining severe injuries managed to rise and rejoin the combat. While the base possessed lighter weaponry, such as laser spears and energy spears, these were insufficient against advanced Buddhist cultivators. However, concentrated fire from a coordinated group could prove effective against Buddhist cultivators at the Golden Core level.

With the teleportation array activating repeatedly, the dire situation on Cape I Planet was gradually brought under control. Cao Ying, engaged in aerial combat, finally exhaled a sigh of relief.

"You will all pay dearly for this!"

Cao Ying declared, her voice resonating with fierce determination. Her greatest concern now was the safety of Blue Star and her beloved. She vowed that those detestable monks would all perish.
