Xiao Yi rallies his younger siblings, promising them rides on his back in exchange for their help. He brings them to a cooking stall, where he announces that customers who buy two bowls of meat soup will receive kisses from his siblings. The younger cubs are shocked and reluctant, especially Ciao Ciao, but Xiao Yi insists they must fulfill their end of the bargain.

The females eagerly bought bowls of meat soup and crowded around the little ones.

Lulu and Ruru were overwhelmed by the sudden attention. Xiao San tried to hide behind Xiao Er, while Maomao’s little lion ears flattened against his head.

Ciao Ciao, on the other hand, was determined to resist.

"No! Don’t touch my tails!"

Unfortunately, the females were too excited to listen to his protests.

"Look at all nine of them! They’re so fluffy!"

"Just one touch!"

"Little sweetheart, let me pat your head!"

Ciao Ciao desperately tried to escape, but his big brother stood nearby, keeping an eye on him.

"Behave yourself!" Xiao Yi ordered. "You have to work!"

Ciao Ciao glared at him.

He would remember this!

He would remember it for the rest of his life

Not far away, Xiao Yi watched his siblings struggling under the enthusiastic affection of the females and finally felt relieved.

Ah!

This was much better!

His little cheeks could finally rest.

He no longer needed to smile at every customer or kiss every pretty sister. His younger siblings could take turns doing the work while he supervised them.

What a wonderful life!

Xiao Yi settled down comfortably beside the stall, watching as the customers continued buying meat soup.

However, his happiness didn’t last long.

After a while, even his siblings began to lose their patience.

Xiao Er’s fur was a mess from all the patting. Xiao San had retreated into his beast form and was desperately trying to hide behind his brothers. Lulu and Duru looked as if they were about to cry, while Maomao had collapsed onto the ground with his little paws spread out.

Ciao Ciao was in the worst condition of all.

His nine tails had become thoroughly ruffled, and his little body lay sprawled on the ground as if he had lost all hope in life.

The cubs slowly turned their heads toward Xiao Yi. Their eyes burned with resentment.

Xiao Yi suddenly felt a chill.

Why were they looking at him like that?

He hadn’t done anything wrong! He had merely asked them to help with a little task! Besides, hadn’t he promised to give them a ride on his back? That was a very generous offer!

Xiao Yi decided that the wisest thing to do was to leave before his siblings could complain.

He slowly unfolded his little wings. Then, carefully watching their expressions, he began edging away.

Xiao Yi’s eyes lit up, and he was just about to flap his wings when a furious voice rang out behind him.

"BIG BROTHER!"

His entire body stiffened.

Before he could fly, the little cubs pounced on him from every direction.

"Big Brother, you’re too much!"

Xiao Yi let out a startled cry as several little bodies landed on him at once. His wings flapped wildly, but he couldn’t take off with his siblings clinging to him.

"Wait! Wait! What are you doing?!"

Ciao Ciao grabbed one of his legs. Xiao Er held onto his tail. Maomao pounced on his back, while Lulu and Ruru joined in from either side. Even Xiao San, who usually preferred to avoid trouble, reached out and caught one of his wings.

Xiao Yi was completely surrounded. He struggled desperately.

"Let go! I’m your big brother!"

"Big brother?" Ciao Ciao snarled. "Do you remember that we’re your younger siblings only when you want us to work for you?!"

Xiao Yi’s eyes widened.

This little fox had become too bold!

He immediately raised his voice and shouted toward the cooking stall.

"FATHER! SAVE ME!"

The cubs froze for a moment. Xiao Yi seized the opportunity and continued shouting. "Father Beast! Look at them! My younger brothers and sisters have lost their minds! They’re attacking their poor, innocent big brother!"

He struggled dramatically beneath their weight.

"How can they be so disrespectful?! I’m their elder brother!"

Unfortunately, no one came to save him.

Hu Yan was still busy serving the enormous crowd, and he didn’t even spare the struggling cubs a glance.

Han Jue looked over once, took in the scene, and calmly turned away. He had no intention of getting involved. After all, the little tiger cub had brought this trouble upon himself.

***

Xiao Yi finally landed beside the river in a rather pitiful manner. Even his flying had become unsteady, and he nearly stumbled when his little paws touched the ground.

He immediately looked around to make sure no one had followed him. Only after confirming that the area was deserted did he finally relax.

However, the moment he glanced at his reflection in the river, his eyes widened.

"Holy moly cow! WHO IS THIS CUB?!"

His scream frightened a few birds resting nearby, sending them flapping into the sky.

Xiao Yi stared at his reflection in disbelief before frantically scratching his face.

"This isn’t me! This definitely isn’t me!"

Where had his shiny white fur gone? Why was his beautiful little face covered in mud? There were even several black paw prints stamped across his cheeks, making him look as if he had rolled around in a pile of dirt!

"AHHH! Those little brats!"

Xiao Yi immediately plunged his face into the river and began rubbing it furiously.

Splash! Splash!

He scrubbed his cheeks, his forehead, and even the tips of his ears, determined to restore his handsome appearance.

"How dare they bully their elder brother! They’re all jealous of my beauty! Just wait until I catch them! I’ll beat every single one of them until they beg for mercy!"

After finally washing away the mud, Xiao Yi climbed out of the river and shook his entire body.

Water droplets flew everywhere.

He then began grooming his fur with great seriousness. His dignity had already been trampled by his younger brothers and sisters. If he went home looking like this, he would never be able to raise his head again!

And how could he complain to his mother?

What would he even say? That a bunch of little brats had beaten up their mighty elder brother?

Absolutely not!

He would rather die than admit such a humiliating thing!

Just as Xiao Yi was busy fixing his ruffled fur, a strange noise suddenly came from behind the bushes.

His little ears shot upright.

"Who’s there?!"

He jumped so violently that his wings nearly opened by themselves.

He had deliberately chosen this secluded place because he didn’t want anyone to see his miserable appearance. What if someone asked him who had stamped all those paw prints on him?

His reputation would be ruined!

Xiao Yi cautiously turned toward the bushes.

At the same time, a young man emerged from the other side.

The moment the two saw each other, both screamed.

"AHHH!"

Xiao Yi jumped backward.

The young man nearly dropped the enormous bundle of clothes he was carrying.

They stared at each other in horror before finally recognizing one another.

Xiao Yi blinked.

"Uncle Manis? What are you doing here?"

Then his gaze traveled from Manis’s head to his feet.

There were muddy paw prints all over the young man’s clothes, and his hair was so messy that it looked like a bird had built its nest on his head!

Even worse, the paw prints were much bigger than Xiao Yi’s.

For one second, Xiao Yi stared at him.

The next moment, he burst into laughter.

"PFFFFT! HAHAHAHA! UNCLE Manis! YOU LOOK EVEN WORSE THAN ME!"

He rolled onto the ground, clutching his belly as tears gathered in his eyes.

Manis’s face darkened.

"You’re in an even worse state than I am, yet you dare to laugh at me?!"

Without another word, he dropped the bundle of clothes beside the river and began scrubbing them furiously.

He had finally found a secluded place to wash the clothes Shi Kuang had forced him to clean. Who would have thought he would run into this troublesome little cub?

Manis glanced at Xiao Yi, who was still rolling around laughing.

His expression grew colder.

"Keep laughing, little brat. Let’s see whether you’ll still laugh after I tell your mother what you look like!"

Xiao Yi’s laughter stopped instantly. He sat up, his little ears drooping.

"...Uncle Manis, let’s discuss this peacefully."
